Neil was absolutely fantastic in customer service and knowledge. We came in with our Ford E350 Sportsmobile Van and he immediately diagnosed our bad wheel bearing which ended up damaging our rear axle. Neil called around and found us a rear axle. Neil and Lincoln worked as fast as possible and got us back on the road to enjoy our trip. Neil went out of his way to help us out. We couldn’t be happier with his above and beyond service. Thank you Colorado 4x4! More business coming your way. ????

Neill was absolutely fantastic. We came in with converted Offroad ford E350 van that was recently “repaired” by another Offroad mechanic. Neill was able to quickly fix their faulty work, getting us back on the road to enjoy our trip. Neill gave me more valuable information about the van than anyone else has been able to thus far. He went out of his way to help us out. I couldn’t be happier with his above and beyond service. Thank you Colorado 4x4.

I met the owner last year due to our Jeep breaking down and everything went great. The owner and I went camping and I decided to have the owner transform my Jeep. During this time he was the most personable and friendliest guy I have met. We went camping and off roading together and made plans for future off roading meet ups. After many phone calls and discussions I gave the owner my budget and began our Jeep Transformation process in Jan 2024.
This process seamed strange to me as I only got a receipt for how much money I spent but never a parts list of where my money went. I did ask about the parts and the owner said he would go over all of my parts with me at the end of the process. Seemed good to me.
I drove to his shop from Chicago and dropped my Jeep off May 12th and flew back home after the owner told me "If I finish the job in 4 weeks I am a god, 5 weeks I am good, and anything after 6 weeks I am an a**". I was promised a book with photos of the work, lights, camp kitchen, told to not worry about bringing out my own equipment because he will make sure we are set up. We talked on the phone even more after dropping off the Jeep and he knew we needed the Jeep ready by June 21st.
We left Chicago on June 20th after being told the Jeep would be ready and the Jeep was not ready. After being told every day it will be tomorrow we had to leave the area due to family coming in which the owner knew well in advance. This cost us a week's worth of hotel rooms in Monte Vista that we had not planned on.
The owner finally delivered our Jeep to us on the night of June 28th but it was in Limp Mode and had a front differential cover leak. The next morning we drove to the gas station together and before he left he told us to "Get used to the high RPMs". He also informed me that his new employee overfilled the Front Differentials and to keep an eye out on my fluid levels. My Jeep did not have the spare tire and spare tire carrier that was promised to me. None of the electrical for the lights was installed as promised. Many other things that were promised were not complete.
Why was it in Limp Mode?
The owner drove my Jeep before reprogramming the computer for the new gears he installed which caused it to go into Limp Mode. He then drove my Jeep over 200 miles while in Limp Mode at very high rates of speed from what he told me. Something to the fact "It has some really good get up and go now". This mistake cost us our transmission which we had to replace. The owner also made a huge mistake welding our front differential which also required us to have that fixed at another location. Both locations where we had to take our vehicle said the welding was not all that great.
Since telling the shop owner that we needed a new transmission and what was needed to fix our front differential cover he hasn't returned any of my numerous phone calls or texts. He did message me that he left his phone in a client's car and that he was on the other line and would call me right back. I have not heard from him since. I even informed him about us needed to head back to Chicago without our spare tire and no reply back.
He did not give me a list of parts that he installed on my Jeep.
He did not give me any information on any of my parts' warranties.
Overall I would not recommend this shop to anyone.

We were visiting from Texas when our Jeep Gladiator engine light came on. The owner took the time out of his busy schedule to look at our Jeep. After about 30 minutes, we were on way confidant that our Jeep was ok. The owner was very knowledgeable, professional & friendly. We will definitely bring our Jeep back here with any future issues. We highly recommend Colorado 4x4.

Check engine light came on in my Jeep. Scheduled an appointment with Neil to get it looked at a few days later, and they did a fantastic job! Came in at around 9:30am and they had all the problems diagnosed, parts picked up from the local parts store and installed, oil changed, filters replaced, and I was out the door before 11:30am. All while holding conversation with me and letting me roam around their shop. Great people, and great service!

After locking my keys in my car at a gas station 863 miles from home while on vacation, after calling the sheriff's office only to be told they wouldn't come to help, He was the ONLY person willing to come to my rescue! And wanted nothing in return!!! Just being a good human. I cannot thank you enough!

Don't trust this guy. He is a piece of work! I wish I hadn't. 4 months and all I got were excuses and lies about pressing a few bushings. Never again.
