This is my "most magical place on earth".
This place oozes peace and serenity. I appreciate the membership set up and advanced reservation requirements. It's never too crowded, too... humany.
This place is special. I highly encourage people to make donations and participate in more than just the hot springs. Check out the ranch, astrology pad and bat cave. Best kept secret in Colorado.

This is one of my favorite places on Earth. Every time I visit, I wish I never had to leave. Staff work very hard to maintain a safe, clean, welcoming, and judgment-free environment, and their hard work really pays off. The property is absolutely gorgeous no matter the time of year, and the vibes are simply immaculate. This feels like an extant Colorado gem not yet overrun and degraded by tourism, and the strict reservation policies help keep it so. By far my favorite naturist hot springs in CO! (Or hot springs in general, for that matter)

*BEFORE* YOU WASTE BOTH TIME AND FUEL, IT IS *IMPORTANT* THAT YOU READ BELOW:
1. Reservations are STRONGLY recommended! This hot springs ONLY allows a certain number of visitors per day in order to protect the fragile environment. If the maximum daily capacity is reached, walk-ins will be turned away! If you are not a member and want to visit just for one day, you can call to make a reservation one day prior to your intended visit - their office opens at 9:00 a.m. Otherwise, you'll have to become a member if you try to call two or more days in advance.
2. Be advised that this is a CLOTHING OPTIONAL hot springs, and you will encounter nudity. If you have a problem with nudity, visit the nearby Joyful Journey Hot Springs Spa, the Great Sand Dunes Pool in Hooper, or the Mount Princeton Hot Springs instead.

I love this venue. I have been a hard-core, take-no-prisoners naturist (aka nudist to the uninitiated) since Woodstock in 1969. Of course we are all born nude but few of us ever free ourselves of the chains society puts on us. Most people end up being self-enslaved which is not only sad but deplorable. Anyway, I love how at Valley View those of us who are liberated can be au naturel there 24/7 unless it gets really cold. It blows my mind that some people post about being shocked to see nude bodies there. Hey, how about reading the info on their website before going. Duh!!

Absolutely stunning views, great campground, incredibly friendly people. I felt like I was transported to an oasis. It was nice to see the rules for people and dogs too. Made the area extremely safe and cozy for a CO hotspring. Past recommending it, I would force people to stay if I could.

I am in love with this place! I arrived thinking I’d just grab a quick soak but after just 30 minutes here I felt like staying for DAYS. Every single person here — employees, volunteers, and visitors alike — is just incredibly warm and kind. All of the natural ponds are under or near trees, so even when the sun is out, it doesn’t get overly hot. Occasionally, deer will walk by, and in Summer you are surrounded by sunflowers and apple trees. It’s nice to be able to walk through the trees from pond to pond: the pools are spaced out but not too much, which means people are spaced out as well. When given a choice between going to another hot springs nearby, or here, I’d definitely come here! Make sure to reserve in advance! And stay overnight if you can.

What a ridiculous place that doesn't answer their phones when they're supposed to at 9:00 a.m. and have confusing information on whether you have to have a reservation or not, which is ridiculous in itself. Better to find a place that's not on such a lockdown. They say the office opens at 9:00 but if you go to arrive at 9:00 the gate doesn't open till 11:00 so explain that.

Always a great time. Bats take care of the majority of the bugs ( Bat season is late Jun to early Sept - before that, the bugs can get pretty bad until they arrive) but the flies are kinda bad this year.
Top ponds are toasty, Apple Tree ponds in the 103-107 range. All the others range from 91 (pool) to 95-96.
As for the bats, make sure you make the trip up to the bat cave if you're there at that time.
