Very cool little museum to check out after a hike. Cash only, so if you want to make a purchase of any kind, you will need cash. Lots of interesting facts and a shirt educational video about Mesa Verde can be seen here. Very informative.

October 2021: They have the standard selection of items found at NPS gift shops., but we didn't get to see the exhibits because of COVID. Entrance to the gift shop was being rigorously controlled, and standing in line for 20 minutes waiting to enter really dampened the experience. This may be the last time we try to visit a gift shop at a National Park. You can get NPS stuff online. And without the exhibits....why bother with all of their protocols.

The artifacts and exhibits were breathtaking! They provided a valuable and eye-opening perspective into the lives of those who came before. It is so important to remember and respect those who lived in this area before us.

Gets busy but has quite a bit of items to look at, souvenirs to buy, and inform about the entire park.

The WPA vintage dioramas in the Museum add people to ruins and tell the stories in an effective way. The exhibits also give us a clue about the things of daily life. The Museum is also an oasis during the heat of the day.
