El Colorado lodge was quite a disappointment. The lodges have few amenities, furnishings are worn and run down. Lodge 24 has no electrical outlets in the bathroom, no working porch light with a step to navigate at night. The microwave started throwing sparks while cooking a bag of popcorn. I won't plan a return trip to this motel.

Wasn't the best. No hot water in the shower. The room was small and furniture was uncomfortable. Just wasn't the best.

People super friendly. Reserved a room which was way over priced. Separate little cottages which was nice. We took it for next day, and than got a call from Texas, so we had to go. We have to charge you for one night. Made reservations 4 hours before. Just greedy. Check room out before you stay. Not the best. Check out policies. Hoping they would have understood. Guess not as nice as acted. They have full time residents taking up lots of them.

Our road trip included a midday adventure through Manitou Springs… we decided to stay the night. Every place we stopped at with vacancy could not accommodate 2 adults and a Tween. We happened upon this little lodge, aesthetically adorable, quiet looking and quaint area. We called the #on the door and they got us taken care of. We got #21. It appeared to be clean. It did smell like cigarettes. Queen bed in a bedroom, futon in the living room. No cable, Roku in the living room only, no TV in the bedroom. Updated bathroom vanity, toilet and shower. It had a cute little coffee bar. Was decorated nicely, it felt cozy. Our AC unit in the bedroom worked great, we slept comfortably. Our Tween said she slept ok on the futon, plus, it was better than the “floor option” offered by the bigger chain hotels we stopped at. Overall, it suited us for what we needed for the night. The people were nice and you can tell they are trying to make improvements around the property. I thought it was lovely.

The place was clean, ac was cold, Esther the manager was so sweet and polite. The pool was cool and clean. We were so close to my favorite place Garden of the Gods. There are restaurants within walking distance. Esther even suggested places to eat and visit. The deer are very friendly as well as our neighbors.

Older, but clean and quiet, with friendly accommodating staff! Spent 3 nights with family & toddlers, pool area and playground are very nice, with deer, squirrels, and rabbits enjoying their time there as well. Will definitely stay there again!

Filthy room!! My pillow smelled like rank armpits, the beds were BROKEN. The shower did not drain. There was grime covering everything. Could not walk in the room barefoot. Empty kitchenette- no silverware, dish towels utensils to cook with. Staff only available from 8a-5p.

We arrived for our reservations and the place was neglected and disgusting. The two rooms we reserved smelled of urine and were disgusting and unkempt. The mattresses had stains and the bed sheets were covered in food as if the cleaning lady decided to have a snack. When we pulled out the mattress from the frames there were dead bugs and hair all over the place. The bathroom walls had mold and huge holes in them. THE WORST PART is that almost every room there has windows that have clearly been broken into. The glass smashed and taped crudely back together and the screens ripped open from the outside. The manager tried to tell me that it was the last renters fault but I didnt believe it since every building had broken windows that were taped back together and that "the township historical society doesnt allow her to clean the rooms properly"?????Someone who I spoke to that had worked there literally told me that they themselves wouldnt ever stay there. If that isnt a red flag I dont know what else is.This place should be condemned considering the state of the 3 buildings we had seen on 8/15/2020Do not stay here.

Front desk staff is super helpful and very friendly. You can tell the housekeeping crew works hard to keep this historic site beautiful and clean! Thick walls mean you are very rarely disturbed by neighbors or outside traffic. Some rooms are 420 friendly and have 2 levels! Close to attractions and walking distance to restaurants. I try to stay here at least 2x a month as I prefer it to other places
