A group of us did the discovery tour this weekend and we had a great time! If you get lucky to have "Slim Jim" as your guide be prepared to laugh, learn and be amazed! He was phenomenal the entire time. I've been once before and vaguely remember it so he did an amazing job because I will definitely remember the things he taught us and the recommendations for the other tours. He made sure we stayed safe, included everyone in his commentary and let us catch our breath after those stairs lol. The caves aren't wheel chair accessible however they do have other areas that are. I would definitely call ahead for more information. They also offer 10% off for military and children 3 and under are free. There's a range of other activities (wall climbing, zip lining, a challenging course, gift shop) the family can enjoy! Not to mention the views driving up and looking over the canyon are breathtaking!

We did the cave tour today with Jim (SlimJim) and when I tell you it was the best experience ever I mean it! This was my 4th time doing the tour and he made it feel like it was the first time! He is so fun, knowledgeable, patient, enthusiastic, and theatrical! He went above and beyond to make our tour amazing. I could go on and on. We had family in town and thought this would be the perfect activity to do and I’m so happy we did! The zipline is also great! My 7year old did with her 17year old cousin and LOVED it! Highly recommend checking this place out. They have friendly staff great attractions beautiful views and yummy food!

First of all, omg… what a beautiful place! I couldn’t believe the view. It was our first Colorado visit and this place is a must see.We took the candlelight ghost cave tour. Olive was our guide and wow… she is such a skilled storyteller! Storytelling is a bit of a lost art these days and it’s rare to find someone that can make historical stories come to life in such an engaging manner. She was also really funny- seamlessly sliding in clever bits of humour and puns here and there- while keeping the spooky vibe going strong. Just a very cool, entertaining and informative guide all across the board! Also, in the past, I had a bad experience getting stuck in a very tight, flooded cave that traumatized me a bit lol. Until her pre-tour introduction speech, I was unaware this particular tour necessitated traversing a short ceiling, tight fit tunnel.I let her know in advance that I had developed some pretty bad claustrophobia from that past experience- and I was feeling high anxiety about it. I mentioned that my best shot at making it through without panicking would be at the front of the line (right behind her) so I could kick it into high gear and sprint-crawl out if I needed to… not to be positioned in the middle of the group when we went through the tight tunnel. Olive made sure that happened, and talked to me the whole way through the tunnel which helped to keep my mind calm…. and I made it through just fine! I felt really accomplished- like I faced a fear and triumphed (I know that sounds ridiculous lol). I really appreciated that she helped see me through that.Anyway… 11/10 score for Olive! You are awesome, girl. Keep doing your thing. Thank you for making our tour special and fun! And for helping me face my fear of caves lol.

My girlfriend and I did the Lantern Tour with Taylor as our tour guide. The tour was a blast and Taylor was really engaging and energetic, which helped add to the atmosphere. Next time we're in town, we are coming back to do the caving 101.

My husband and I haven’t been here since we were kids maybe in middle school so about 25-28 years ago. Back then we each did the discovery tour. This time we did the haunted lantern tour and absolutely loved it! Taylor our tour guide was simply amazing. Talk about a story teller she’s fantastic! In fact the whole staff was amazing. We can’t wait to bring our kids for our next adventure.

Wish I had more time to spend there! I went on the discovery tour. Our guide, Sam, was friendly, knowledgeable, and somehow still cracking jokes while most of us where trying to catch our breath. The cave itself is beautiful, and the route through the cave strikes a nice balance between feeling natural while not being claustrophobic. One word of advice: the website recommends bringing a jacket even during the summer months, because the cave stays at about 54 degrees. For my part, I never felt the need to put a jacket on: going up and down the stairs kept me warm enough! Hope to go back someday and try out the haunted tour!

I wouldn't recommend the lantern tour. (My wife, however, said she liked it.) In my opinion, they would need to spice it up with some scary props and effects and noises, but there is nothing but the guide telling you "scary" stories that aren't all that scary. For what they charge, I'd rather just see the cave features. The lantern tour goes through a "new" and IMHO unexceptional part of the cave.

Today, one of my in-law’s son went on a field trip to the cave of the winds and someone who showed them around, a lady named Gale has been nothing but rude to him and another one of his classmates. She has been in his face and talking to him very rude for no apparent reason. Whoever she is shouldn’t be working with students from schools.

If Gage isn't your tour guide for the lantern ghost tour, then you absolutely need to request him! He's funny and super nice AND a rock nerd if you're into rocks like we are! We heard some scratching on the cave walls, and an entire hallway of lanterns went out unexpectedly on our tour. Also lots of unexplained cold spots within the cave. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. It was a nice change of pace from your average ghost tour.
