“1. Customer service: Spectacular. Owner and employees always have an excellent disposition, answer questions with diligence, and are great at pursuing engaging conversation.2. Layout: The store allows for freedom of movement and is set up in a way that is logical, simple to navigate, and pleasing to the eyes. Additionally, the "hidden" back rooms make for a feel that is nearly whimsical.3. Content: The owner truly knows his customers. He has everything from the classics, pop fiction, a substantial true crime section, and all the way to spiritual practice texts and medical texts, including the DSM. West Side Stories also has a grand collection of table-top RPG source books, namely D&D, as well as gaming equipment like dice trays and dice themselves.4. Parking: Free lot on the side.5. Location: Easily accessible by pedestrians on Colorado Ave.6. Other: West Side Stories features locally-sourced miniature art pieces and fragrances. Their loyalty program, which only requires a phone number, is also one of the most customer-beneficial I've found in all of Colorado. Conclusion: West Side Stories continues to impress at every turn.A short story: When I requested a book to be ordered, I had it in my hands and paid for within the week. Also, another customer mentioned a book they were looking for in passing. The following week, I saw that book on the shelf, stocked and ready to go. The owner listens to his customers and delivers a wholesome, respectful, and overall perfect experience.”

“I have so many amazing things to say about this place. First off, you can't be a free place to take the kids when it's snowing outside. Talk about a great value. They have coffee and hot tea that you can make and take while you explore the interactive kid's areas including a play are with an airplane, slide, and iPads. There are also themed rooms including a Chronicles of Narnia room where you walk through a wardrobe into Narnia. They also have a firefighter room, a soft play area, a theater with dress up clothes and puppets, and even a kid's radio station. There is also a soda shop with snacks and drinks. Then there's the bookstore itself. It's large with its a lot to free including amazing clothes, Horne decor, kid's section, tons of books, and jewelry. The staff was friendly and helpful and we even managed to get a great deal on all the fun things we bought. Highly recommend!”

“Incredible selection of Easton Press books. One of the best I’ve seen. A great used book store with a wide ranging variety of books. Very well curated. The gentleman working the store (owner?) was extremely knowledgeable & helpful. Wish I lived close by so I frequent here more often.”

“I love this place! Every downtown needs a safe place like this. They have a cool gift shop, bookstore, restaurant and cafe all in one. I got some espresso cups and this cute ring. The cafe was perfect for after lunch cake and coffee. The best part was the friendly staff. And they seemed super real and nice:)”

“So happy I found this bookstore. It is very clean and well organized, and I had no problem navigating through the store to the sections of books that I read. The staff were very nice and helpful, also. The price of books is great, with $2 for softcover and $4 for hardcover. Considering what other bookstores charge, this is very reasonable.I went in with books for resale and came out with a stack of new books to read! I’ll definitely be back again soon.”

“I'm guessing this is the PPCC bookstore and I'm happy with this establishment out side of the extremely expensive price of books. But, that's the cost of private education.”

“Got myself a random sandwich. It was a great time here during the tour. After it was done we decided to get some food from the bookstore. It was a cool day out the staff was pleasant. Ordered a frap for my girlfriend. And after eating we went hiking around the grounds of Glen Eyrie Castle. I wish I lived here such an amazing place to be.”

“Again, have local bookstore, will travel. To be fair, we had quite a bit of time to kill on our last full day in the city, and having visited and/or sworn off all other tourist-type attractions in the area, we needed a place to huddle.”

“I enjoy wandering through the aisles. The coffee shop was crowded. It would be nice to have an updated, more quiet and comfortable coffee shop to sit with friends after purchases. This Barnes needs more square footage in my opinion. Love this store.”

“Pretty standard college book store. As always some people are helpful and some aren't. It's a roll of the dice. But for the most part everyone here seems to try.”
