Nice facility, though, I'm my opinion a lil costly to get my puppy out of puppy jail. However, it looks like the costly fees are helping maintain the new, huge, and very nice animal shelter.

They were so sweet when our foster kitty crossed over the rainbow bridge. They wrote me a sympathy card and gave me a card with her paw print on it. This meant so much to me.
The people who work here truly care about every single animal. Even though there are hundreds, they take their time to get to know every animal and its foster family ?
P.S...her sister, Boo, survived and got adopted!

Love it here. Clean facility, animals look to be well taken care of. They could use your donations if you have any to give!

I showed up here in tears at having to surrender my old pit bull because I couldn't afford medical care for him. The loving souls there helped me get him healthy and good as new for almost nothing. I'm still struggling with finances and my own health trouble, but so far have been able to keep my fur baby. Even one more year with him has meant the world to me, and hopefully I'll have him for years to come. He's an older pit that doesn't get along with other dogs I originally adopted right before he got put down years ago,so there was zero chance of rehoming, they absolutely saved his life. I donated what I could for all their help, please support them in any way you can.

Sure wish I would have read these reviews before I took a stray, probably feral cat here. I didn’t want it to spend the winter outside and knew they adopted out working cats for barns or shops which would have been perfect for him. They put him on a five day hold and then euthanized him! They gave me some lame excuse that they couldn’t handle him to neuter or check him. Of course not, he is feral!! But somehow the places that TNR a cat can figure that out. I will NEVER bring another animal here and will never recommend anyone to do so!
PS to NOCO. Don’t bother responding to this with your lame ass excuse. Save it.

I went there considering a dog adoption, a few months after the passing of our beloved family pet. Our family has previously donated to the humane society, and we generally support the cause. But I was really shocked at how poorly the new facility is run and how difficult and unpleasant the process of adopting here is.
Specifically, the staff was pointlessly rude and unnecessarily condescending. Staff seemed far more interested in getting the dogs quickly adopted and less interested in finding a really compatible match between dog and owner. Dogs were kept in small cages (about 3ft x 4ft) and most cages had feces/urine that wasn't cleaned. There is plenty of staff, and the facility is large and modern, so there's really no reason for this.
I left the facility very discouraged and will not donate to the humane society again.

I had an unfortunate issue where a couple puppies from a litter my dog had went near a neighbor's yard and had parvo. Unfortunately, we don't know if that's exactly where they got it but when I was stressing out and not sure what to do for the puppies they were very helpful and informational for me

I really hope this isn’t true, but I keeping hearing of instances of this shelter killing peoples dogs. For a shelter that receives funding for that, it’s very disheartening ?

I had a great experience with Noco Humane Society! When I called with just a few questions, Cierra was so kind and communicative, guiding me to exactly the right resources and providing helpful information. I would highly recommend Noco Humane Society to anyone looking for a loving forever friend. Thank you, Cierra, for all your help!

Great experience! I adopted a kitten from their Evans location that morning and wanted to get him a friend to go home with that was his age. My first choice was already on hold - fortunately; she was a bit more high strung than the kitty I chose. I had plenty of time with my second choice. The staff knew I’d just adopted at their other location and skipped reading through all the paperwork again and let me peruse the health record at my pace. The staff were friendly and the location is beautiful. My two kittens are settling in and purring like crazy.
