The Little Groomer
1130 Pine St STE 4, LouisvilleTeresa is magical. My cat can be absolutely vicious if you try to bathe him or brush certain spots. To make things even worse, he has had bad experiences with a previous groomer. But he loves Teresa.
She is really good at reading his mood and giving him the time, space, and things (like a towel to hide under) he needs to feel safe. She gives him hugs when we first arrive. I can tell she really cares about him.
He always comes out with no signs of stress. When we get home, he doesn't hide, which he always did after his other grooming appointments. He even has a little extra bounce in his step.
This place is really out of the way for me, but the drive is worth it to keep my little guy safe and happy.
FYI: The photos are after he groomed his mane himself. When he came out he was perfect and fluffy.

Pet Care
Louisville Veterinary Clinic
2000 Centennial Dr, LouisvilleWe've been going to Dr. Bender for years, he is the best vet ever! Calm, intelligent, involved and committed to caring for our animals. We left the area, but considered kidnapping Dr. Bender to take with us. (JK, Doc!) If you can get an appointment, your pets will be in the best hands!

Sweet Cow
637 Front St, LouisvilleWhat a gem! Feels like a local secret, located sort of in a neighborhood but it was dark so maybe it was more retail than we realized? Lots of people there but the line moved fast. We sampled and selected the coconut cream pie ice cream and then a chocolate chip cookie dough Sammie. Both were outstanding but the coconut cream pie will go down as THE BEST ICE CREAM my husband and I have EVER had!!! The. Best.

Crystal Springs Brewing Co. - The Brewers' Lounge at the Production Facility
657 S Taylor Ave E, LouisvilleGreat and knowledgeable staff. Being more of a wine guy. Their selection of great beers are amazing. I normally have 5 that I can choose from that are very good. They just added small quiet rooms, the bar area can get very loud.

The Jasmine Bar
836 1/2 Main St, LouisvilleI almost walked right past this little bar on Main! After you go down the alleyway you're meant to, you'll find this lovely upscale bar hidden off the beaten path. The cocktails here were crafted with skill & garnished with care, which I loved! The server was informative & knowledgeable about the menu, making it feel even more like a hidden gem! Expect steeper prices that reflect the complexity of their drinks and the luxe-modern setting itself.

Moxie Bread Co.
641 Main St, LouisvilleI happened to be in the Louisville area for lunch and thought I'd stop by Moxie Bread Co to check out their pastries--heard they're one of the few bakeries in CO that sells kouigan amanns. Those became one of my faves after living in Hawaii. I ended up ordering 3 different pastries to take home--chocolate croissant, caramel apple danish, and key lime cheesecake kouigan amann. It wasn't until I got home that I realized I was given the wrong kouigan amann, which was a tad bit disappointing. Instead of the key lime cheesecake flavor, it was some kind of strawberry and almond flavor. I like almond flavored pastries so it wasn't a terrible error, just not what I was expecting. The chocolate croissant was just okay, wouldn't get it again if I were to stop by this bakery again. Haven't tried the danish yet, so we'll see. The staff member who took my order was nice and friendly, but the price of the pastries (almost $20) wasn't worth it, in my opinion. I wouldn't make a special trip here even if I was craving a kouigan amann--I can get one here in Boulder--but I'm glad I tried this place since it's been on my list for some time.

Parma Trattoria & Mozzarella Bar
1132 W Dillon Rd, LouisvilleWe absolutely loved our meal at Parma! We tried the margarita pizza (added mushrooms), and the Penne Salciccia (but subbed the penne for Pappardelle). The pizza was fresh, the dough was perfectly cooked, and the toppings perfect. As for the handmade pasta, it was amazing, the sauce was perfect and the sausage portion was generous. Our only note was that we were seated on the patio near the busser station, waiters and waitresses continuously tossed plates into black baskets throughout our meal and it was very loud. We highly recommend and would return if we find ourselves in the area.

We had a delicious burger. The mussels and manicotti were also very good. We will definitely go back there. It is a little gem of a place in Louisville, CO.

Rocky Mountain Tap & Garden
1071 Courtesy Rd, LouisvillePleasant surprise. Excellent service. Fun self-serve beer wall. The food has been the most surprising— delicious and, dare I say, elevated cuisine. The portions are a bit small for the price, but the price reflects the excellent quality. Have really enjoyed the Donna (tuna melt), mac n cheese with Nashville hot chicken, arugula salad with steak tips, artichoke hearts (tiny portion), and prosciutto. The presentation of the cocktails seem more like some thing you'd find in a trendy spot downtown for a lot more money. Definitely a new favorite spot for us.
Update: Still eating here over a year later. Just had to mention that the naked wings are great. Many places don't understand that naked wings still need salt! Their naked wings are salted/seasoned with crisp skin. Love it.
Kid-friendliness: Fun outdoor games for kids, weather permitting. A few arcade games inside too.
