Mark is great at his job and is always ready to take my questions. I refer people to him all the time and they end up thanking me! I would suggest giving him a call!!!

Dear Mr Soverign, I am writing you today to cancel all of my policies effective October 1, 2019 with your office and Farmer's insurance after 19 years. I am deeply disappointed with the lack of service you have provided me as my agent. As my agent I believe that you had a duty to keep me informed on obtaining the best possible insurance at the lowest cost possible. In my opinion, you failed miserably in this regard. In the 19 years I had insurance with your office I did not receive a single telephone call from you. While I acknowledge that your office sent a letter to me every year stating that I could have my coverage reviewed by you, it was counter intuitive to me that my homeowners insurance policy yearly payment could go from over $7500.00 a year down to $2170.00 per year. How often does the price of necessities in this day and age have the potential to be less expensive? Very few that I can think of. I believe that you knew or should have known that I was substantially overpaying for my homeowners insurance. When we spoke on the phone you stated that you cannot review every policy you have in your office every year for every customer. Yet in 19 years you never reviewed my policies to see if you could get me the best possible insurance at the best rates that Farmer's insurance has available. I now know that it is not in your best personal financial interest to review the policies in your office because your income is directly tied to the amount of premium payments collected by your office. This provides you with a financial disincentive to review the policies because any reduction in premiums results in a corresponding reduction of your income. This seems to me to be a conflict of interest, which should be addressed to the State of Colorado Insurance Commissioner. Why should a 19 year customer such as myself pay over $7500.00 a year for homeowners insurance while a brand new policy holder could pay $2170.00 a year for the same insurance when the risk undertaken by Farmer's insurance on both policies is exactly the same? I did not appreciate your attitude when we spoke on the phone as you became very defensive and angry with my questioning. I believe that you became defensive and angry because you knew that you had not done your job as my agent to provide the best possible insurance at the best price available. I have sent a letter to the State of Colorado Insurance commissioner explaining this situation in detail. While I believe that you did nothing illegal, I believe the legislature should draft legislation that prevents such a disparity in policy premiums when the risk being undertaken by the insurance company is exactly the same whether you are an existing policyholder or a new policyholder. I hope that this email will motivate you to work harder to provide your policyholders with the best possible insurance at the best price available.

Quick turn around on a home/auto quote. Got right back to me on questions when comparing to my current policy. He's right in downtown Louisville (the office with the cool truck out front).
