“I like this food bank a lot.Good food and usually a steady process when I go.But when it's packed. Like people have to wait in the middle of the parking for a spot to open, packed. People do this to save their "fancy" car. This is the 3rd peak time I've seen this happen.Do better visitors.”

“If you doing any kind of home improvement project or into repurposing materials this place is AWESOME. Remodeling and don’t need the old cabinets or leftover tile? Take it here!The only bummer is the hours—it’s incredibly difficult for a working person to get there around work and on top of that they’re closed on Sundays. It’s kind of odd they are closed to the people who would benefit most from access cheap building materials.They also seem to keep rebranding and changing their name for some reason. The website makes it look like it has something to do with water conservation? Let’s be real it’s a very cheap and wonderful source of used building materials and other materials. I keep telling people about it and they can’t find it! It’s like they are intentionally hiding how great they are for some reason.Anyhow,”

“I have been going to the Refuge since 2016. They have always welcomed us with open arms. We no longer go as much as we used to, but it's still a wonderful place to go just to relax or get something to eat.
We provided lunch, too, before when we them we were able to to give back.

The members and staff are very friendly and there's a great sense of community. I only joined the Y a few years ago as I had previously been someone who exercised at home or outside. “I've never believed in such a thing as a Christmas Miracle... until now.
As a single dad who suffered a stroke when my only child was just eleven months old, I have lived in stress and poverty as the legislative leadership has gradually turned it's back on the desperate and needy. Somehow despite the challenges of surviving on assistance benefits I have managed to still provide the basic needs of my only child of life. Until this year.
Snap benefit delays, atea resource centers aid being cut by politicians on both sides as they work to dismantle our foundations.
I was breaking down. Couldn't sleep couldn't eat and despite trying all year, I had come to this Christmas empty. Hardly a gift in the closet for my daughter's holiday. All I could do was pray.
I knew I had one last shot at it... my scheduled visit at Precious Child. I had hope, but not expectations. Having utilized the services for some time now, I knew in general what to expect. But what I experienced? Was a miracle.
My fears and pain was seen and heard .. that isn’t common these days.. all I know was that a few extra steps from the wonderful volunteers and staff.. . My daughter's Christmas will be magical. She will have gifts that will make her heart shine with light and joy..
I said to myself for weeks, be calm. God will show up... the amazing thing was, He did!

“BCCC is the premier service organization in the area dedicated to helping senior citizens. They have found a superb team of caring, compassionate staff members who go out of their way daily to make sure seniors have what they need to thrive, many in their own homes. From yard care to home repairs to grocery shopping to the ice busters program, the quality of the free programs BCCC provides is astounding. I hope they're still around by the time my wife and I need that sort of support. Thanks for all you do!”

“I was stranded in Wheat Ridge with a broken down truck that came with NO timeline on repair, had a horse in a trailer, and had to make it home to Wisconsin. Kris brought her truck and picked up my horse in the trailer and saved us from the heat and the exhaust of the semis in the truck stop parking lot we were stuck at. Awesome people. Couldn't have been more blessed in a time of need!”
“Lafayette is a nice town but the old town neighborhood struggles with people regularly leaving piles of beer cans, pooping in the bushes, and graffiti. Occasionally there are people screaming in a fit of rage in the middle of the night walking down the sidewalk.”

However, it is NOT a typical bike shop, take a little time to understand what they are about before strolling in assuming they'll be ready to just fix whatever your problem is. You kind of get what you give here, a willingness to learn and engage with process is rewarded. I highly recommend checking out their website to learn about all of the great things they offer and amazing things they do for the community.”
“This is such a wonderful resource! It is the responsible thing to do - I bring my broken electronics and random things here before throwing in the trash. It costs some money to make sure the electronics are going to the right place when being disposed of. But it is worth it. They also recycle all kinds of things - including clothes with holes and stains! One time I showed up with huge boxes of cds and tapes and they helped me separate out the CDs (which needed to be disposed of with the electronics) and their cases - trash. It took a while, but they were so helpful. Thank you CHaRM!”
“Got so much food for me and my kids. Was fairly quick to. I made an appointment and trust me it’s worth it. You have to make a profile and sign up for a appointment time or you can do walk ins on certain days go to website to find that info but I’m glad I made the appointment instead of walk in. Also went thru the thrift store got some clothes for all of us and we made Easter baskets kids was so happy to get that candy and toys I just let them go crazy when we got home lol we literally didn’t even eat breakfast because we had no food but God made a way thru Joyful Journey food pantry thank you! I’ll be forever grateful. Got allot of pull ups and a pack of wipes as well!”
