No carts inside the store had to carry 45lbs of liter in one and and a bag of food in the other, not to big of an issue but when I brought it up to my cashier just curious if they had an extra one hiding in the back from returns etc.. I was met with sarcasm. Just a little unprofessional.

Just had our Maltipoo groomed at Petco Loongmont. Terrible job of grooming. Uneven, choppy, still had doggie boogers in the fur around her eyes. Just awful. Charged us $70. My 5-year-old granddaughter could have done a better job. Won't go back there again and would never recommend this place to anyone!

I'm not a fan of the groomers here. I brought my 2 dogs in to get their nails trimmed and the person assisting us didn't seem capable of performing the task. Maybe it was a lack of confidence or inexperience, but she struggled to trim my dog's nails so much so that she nicked him a couple times and needed that powdery stuff they put on nails to stop any bleeding. It was clear she needed assistance, so I offered on a couple occasions to hold my dog since she seemed to have a hard time getting herself into a good position. When another groomer went over to assist, they were pretty rude, stating that we should leave the area since our presence might be making our dog tense or nervous. Nooo, it's your colleague who clearly doesn't know what she's doing that causing the anxiety. We decided to go look at the aquariums while they wrapped up. Overall, they had poor customer service and incompetent groomers so we won't be returning here.

Saltwater tanks are in terrible shape. Gosh are struggling. I know PetCo already doesn't have a great reputation for how it treats live animals, but the amount of algae growing in these tanks is not okay.

This is primarily about the fish department, which is relatively clean, but their saltwater fish have flukes and have for at least 6 months. It infected my tank and when I was back there today I saw a couple of different fish flashing, which is a sign of gill flukes. The manager I encountered was kind of rude for no reason, and I've stood in line while the cashier chatted with zero acknowledgment, even getting blamed for being ignored because I was on my phone, which only happened after being ignored. Also the entryway carpet is absolutely disgusting, presumably from dogs relieving themselves on it. I will however say the 2 young people that run the fish department are fairly friendly and somewhat informed, but it's definitely worth making the drive to Biggs or Aqua Imports, unless you want supplies, which are unsurprisingly sometimes out of stock despite what their website says

Looked up the hours online and it said they are open until 9 PM. Drove all the way over here and there is a note on the door that says they are closing at 6 PM until further notice due to staffing shortages. Isn't this a corporate chain? Does the company pay attention to all the scathing one star reviews of this particular Petco location?

If you're wanting to buy fish don't bother to go to this Petco. I have personally witnessed several customers leaving irritated because of a 20 something questioning you to death about your tank and your knowledge and refusing to sell fish. Occasionally you will get someone that actually wants to sell their fish. They have some beautiful ones and some of their people are knowledgeable but for the most part I have found most of them to be condescending and refused to sell you the fish you were asking for if you don't answer the questions correctly.

I needed my dogs food quickly so I put in an online order. When I got there, someone brought it out to my car quickly and with care. She was very friendly and I am happy I tried the curbside pickup this time. I'm sorry I didn't get her name. Thanks to her, I was able to get home quickly to feed my Newfie!

I have to say, the manager at this store has alot of patience and I truly appreciate her taking her time to come over and try to help the cashier with my pals account that had completely malfunctioned. I was being quite testy and she absolutely held her cool. Thank you again and my apologizes for being short.

Dnica in the aquatic area was extremely unprofessional and had horrible customer service. Today I came in to buy some small fish for my classroom fish tank. After telling Danica that i would like 4 fish she tells me "No, I'm only selling you 3". After telling her no, actually i would like to buy 4. She says" i am only going to sell you 3 because you don't know if your tank has a heater init or not and i want to protect MY fish." She kept telling me there are no returns..As if i was going to return dead fish. When she handed me the bag i asked her for her name and she said " Danica and i am the aquatic supervisor." I walked away with my 3 fish to go up and pay and she comes storming past me and runs up to the cashier to tell them "NO RETURNS". Then as she walked away she was yelling at me while i was up front saying " Next time before you come in here don't be telling people what to do." I simply ignored her and then as i was checking out i could hear her talking loudly to other employees about me. Which means if i could clearly hear her, then other customers could clearly hear her. I am utterly shocked by the lack of human decency, kindness and just customer service in general. I will not being going back to this store and I hope that there is a consequence for Danica's actions because they way that she spoke to me as a customer is NOT ok. If you dont like working with people, then dont have a job which requires customer service.

It's really sad how little these people actually care about animals. I was sent here from the Boulder location to get the prescription food that my cat needs. I had my prescription written by my vet with me. They declined to sell it to me because the clinic was closed. I drove all the way out here because the Boulder location told me to. Now the day is over and don't have time to make another plan. My cat won't get the medicated food she needs tonight because of these people. And besides this situation and their uncaring and rude staff (including the "manager"), the store is an absolute disgusting mess. Just don't go there.

Mistreating you and your dog Made a grooming appointment for my older dog, I called yesterday to see how long her appointment may take. The groomer called me back today and said her appointment is at 4 we don't know how long it will take but we close at 6 today . I said perfect, she then said she needed to ask me more questions about my dog. She seemed to be asking over the top amount of questions, she was trying to dig for something. (My dog comes in often to be groomed and even came in a month ago. My dog is calm and never has had any issues) She then asked about medications I told her she has one to help with incontinence. She said hold on and came back and said they would no longer take my dog becuase she was older on medication. I asked to talk to the manager, the "manager" came on the phone who refused to give me her name. I asked for the store manager and she said she was the only manager on staff today and said her word is final and they will no longer see my dog ever. I hanged up the phone and called the regular number where she answered and told me I couldn't talk to anyone else and still refused to give me her name. I was already upset with her refussing to give me her name or another person it just escalated. I called my vet and they said there is no reason for them to deny my dog over this medication and is sending over a letter saying it is fine. I called now 2 other Petco and have talk to Assitance Store / Managers and that this lady doesn't have the authority to deny my dog and that I needed to talk with Alfred or corpoate.

Not even 1 star. They deserve zero star. I been in the store earlier on Sunday because one of my fish died. They do not let me buy another one before I take a water sample. I have 4 fish tanks, so I'm buying numerous fishes to split between 4 tanks. So I drove back home for water samples. I took my daughter with me. We got the store. We were waiting for associate, waiting, waiting, waiting. One employee , I guess she some kinda manager. She short heights, with ponytail, she was wearing blue petco t-shirt with no name tag, just like every single employees. I guess why. So customers can not report them with names. But meanwhile I was waiting, a chubby body type employee was circling around me. She rude to me since I took back death fish to the store several months ago. So the employee with ponytail she said to us, I have to change my mask for a different what is approved with this covid-19 b.s. I said, sorry, I have my own mask. She went to another employee, and told him he can not give me service until I change my mask. She went back to 2 employees, one is the chubby body type and a skinny one. She was pointing to us. I went to them to show a paper from Colorado government website about the mask. They told me, they don't care, it is not effect them, because petco is a private business. I told them , my daughter has rashes on her face because the mask , but she was wearing her mask too but not tight how they want, so I told she has dark skin and it showing badly. They said they don't care dark skin people problem, next time I leave her at home. Wooow... And they told us, id I do not change my mask for their mask, we will not get any service. Okay, we left and went to Petsmart where the employees don't care what kinda face covering the customers are wearing. I told them what happened and they said, they heard a lot about that petco store employees behaviors. What your employees doing to the customers, that is discrimination. The lady with the ponytail and the chubby one, harassing the customers with the mask.

This business is a joke. Hopefully they will be out of business soon. The employees there do not deserve to work in the customer service industry. I will order from Chewy and go to Petsmart or four paws in the future. They obviously do not train their employees and hire any trash off the street. The store is nasty too. STAY AWAY! Go elsewhere.
