STS is a horrific Teflon racket in every way—damaged every piece of furniture, tons of unmarked boxes, lost inventory, broken items, original artwork destroyed, broken glass, crushed books, lost belts and shoes in every wardrobe and, to top it off, they left two floors of my home behind…it all went into a roll-off, the packers’ company vehicles or the buyer’s estate sale. And the price for this outrage went up and up. (Pay their price or they don’t unload.) The second (third?) mover put storage boxes in the house and left the storage unit empty—he had to get home to Florida—three cancellations on the delivery date, as well. (And three different drivers, different vans, etc.—the van had another household’s belongings in it—par for the course I’ve learned….)
In sum, avoid this place—they are egregiously incompetent and subpar. The estimator talked a big game (he has no skin in the game—he just signs up the unwitting customers and moves on to the next sucker. Their packing crew(s) walked out with thousands of dollars worth of furnishings and goods they told me couldn’t be moved. And several left spilled fast food in my bookcases…among other things—they dropped high-end recording gear between fast food and smoke breaks too. To be fair, the packers had an insufficient number of boxes, packing materials, and direction from STS. There was also no on-site supervision or oversight from STS on a multi-day load-in.
North American doesn’t care either—it’s just Docusign and email contracts back and forth—not one entity takes liability. STS doesn’t answer the phone—I think call transfers are beyond their pay grade. (I unpacked an unmarked box that contained dead mice, droppings, melted candles and loose pasta marked “Main” three weeks ago and just about gave up completely.) STS did not give a dropping about this “relocation” ; they just wanted their wire transfer.
My heart and my budget were broken and my trust was violated. STS/Scooter is the stuff of nightmares—May they reap what they sow tenfold. Ten months later I’m still trying to sort out their incompetence—what an insult to anyone ever affiliated with the US military. Move yourself with a truck and a dolly or leave your belongings behind—you can’t do worse than STS.

Our stuff has taken almost two weeks to be delivered 16 hours away... No one returns phone calls or emails. Terrified from all the other reviews that if and when it gets here it will be damaged anyways. What a nightmare.

My recent experience with North American Van Lines has left me deeply dissatisfied. Despite assurances of timely delivery, my belongings arrived five days late, causing significant inconvenience.
Even more troubling was the discovery that several items, including my TV, were missing likely stolen during transit cause we received an empty TV box. Other items and boxes were damaged. We filed a claim but I received only a fraction of the TV's value as compensation (~$30 cause they reimburse by weight unless you pay extra for higher insurance).

If I can give a -10 in stars, I would. However, since the lowest is 1 star, then 1 star it is.
I’m writing this review so that the next person could avoid any additional stress, disappointment, and financial loss due to this company. I will share from what happened to me, and of course the reader gets to choose what to do with this information.
I did a state – to – state move (includes packing, storage, and moving) with North American Van Lines representative STS Relocation/STS Moving and Storage/Seevers Moving in Longmont, CO, on Francis St.
First off, the packers came. I was told they only needed one day to pack. They needed two days. The packers also stole items, little things that I noticed (two phone chargers that were on the kitchen counter), at first. Figure they at least packed rest of my stuff. I was wrong, of course. Then came the “professional mover” who broke my dining table right in front of my eyes! I yelled at him to put the table down. He bent the table in half, vertically, straight up, when the table was to have been sliding side to side. He acted like he’s never moved a table like that. Next came a mover who said to my face that the bed frame takes too long to “disassemble,” so I should think about buying a new one so they don’t have to “reassemble it at the other end.” Little red flags, of course.
Once I received the goods at the other end, I found the following:
1. The bedframe was broken! The wooden piece that was broken was attached to a metal frame! I’m thinking, did the guy seriously deliberately break this piece so the bed can’t be rebuilt???? He did. An elephant had to have fallen on it to break it there! The Claims department, of course, did not give me a full value to replace the bed.
2. My dining table could not be assembled, because the table piece was broken. Not shocking there at all. The mover broke it.
3. A dining chair was broken, on the back of the chair. Did an elephant step on the back of the chair? Why was the chair’s back broken, and none of the other parts of the chair broke? What?
4. There was a “Parts Box,” where all the hardware for the items they disassembled were kept. There were no parts box to be found. Numerous items were left disassembled; beds (4), TV stand, dining table, desks (2). Filing a claim took time and money, for something that could have been avoided. To me, lack of professionalism all around!
Now, the worst of them all is this part. I started to receive notices in the mail of violations for one of my car’s license plate. The ones that WERE in my position, in my house. Why were they “missing,” and creating these violations in another state? First came a parking ticket, then a toll violation, and then another moving violation. I called DMV up and they told me I had to report it to the police as stolen plates. I did that, and also reported to the Claims Department, hoping they would remove these movers from their “representation.” Instead, they tell me they “had” to tell the local movers. I told them that the police are trying to locate them, so with their “telling the local movers,” that’s “aiding and abiding” the crime!! They went ahead and did that, and refused to reimburse me for the additional plates I had to purchase again for my car! So, that’s items stolen, identity in question, and claims denied. Even if they “claim” insurance will cover it, that is not so.
I’ve moved cross continent over 6 times. It took some real effort to be this bad at something you’re supposed to be good at! In total, over 10 furniture items were broken and/or needed repair. All and all, it was one of the worst moves of my entire life.
If I can save one person from having to experience this, then I’ve done one thing right.

My biggest problem with my experience was with how different the process was from the path laid out to me by Tim. I was very clear about being concerned that day-labor would be responsible for loading and uploading my belongings and despite being assured that rarely happens and arranging for their employed movers to be used, there was a huge miscommunication and the driver Julio ended up hiring day-laborers to do the loading and unloading. Ugh! So annoyong. The loaders weren't terrible, but the unloaders at the destination were the absolute worse and complained the whole time like children and caused a bunch of damage with their carelessness. Unfortunately, no one seems to want to accept accountability for any damages, imagine that. By the way Nancy was very nice and helpful throughout the process and while the experience was very disappointing, frustrating, and had issues, I am still thankful everything worked out and still think STS relocation is probably the best option in the area. Good luck and hopefully everything goes smoothly for you during the move.

We’ve used North American to move at least 6 times and other than minor issues we were always been satisfied. Until now, this company was ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! They lied, didn’t show up as scheduled and did not complete their job. My best advice is to RUN away from this business. If I could have given negative stars it would have been a -5

Terrible experience from start to finish. Tried to change my window of pickup; then charged extra for things I was told were included. They told me that the elliptical was going to be taken apart and put back together and it was included in the estimate; while they were bringing things in things marked fragile and labeled to not have anything stacked upon were stacked upon and brought in upside down; additionally, two antique pieces had legs broken-one 1800 secretary desk and a 1900 table. They will tell you anything to get the bid and then change things to charge more and then break things.

This company parks their trucks in the entrance of our neighborhood in Longmont Colorado. They make the roadway tight and dangerous because they can’t afford something other than the street parking for 3-6 semi trucks… Thanks for spilling a bunch of oil in our residential streets cause your drivers are too cheap. I truest hope your company goes bankrupt, getting out of our neighborhood would make said neighborhood a safer place.

Complete fiasco from the United Van Line group out of Loveland Colorado. Darlene the Coordinator has not been much help and her manager Scott is unwilling to return phone calls. . Twe weeks after a late delivery still have unassembled box spring and mattress,, two sofas that are not usable or assembled, an electric recliner without a power pack they lost, broken lamp, broken BBQ grill. ALL I get is file a claim, that's going well as I have a house with unusable items. I'll keep you posted on the claim. Customer service and what they promise does not happen.

We were told by both the North American truck driver and our Longmont, CO North American "Move Coordinator" that our household goods were to be delivered on March 30, 2022. Given "all our goods were picked up in Colorado on March 24 and it is a 2000 plus mile drive to Fort Myers (4 day driving trip), we hustled to drive to meet the truck on March 30th. What caused the delay, was a supposed truck mechanical breakdown in Jackson, MS which both the driver and move coordinator confirmed just so happened to be the drivers hometown (where he lived). What a coincidence! Our goods were loaded on the semi truck along with 2 other families both moving to Florida. Our closing on our home in Colorado was scheduled for April 5th but the buyers agreed to delay closing to accommodate us due to the moving delivery delay. We were told multiple times the truck was fixed and would be one day out. Finally, on April 8, we were told that a "part" was needed to be ordered and installed to fix the truck. One would think a major moving company would not delay delivering 3 household goods by renting another truck to complete the delivery. Finally, they did this by renting a truck to deliver our most of our goods with the driver on April 18th. The original truck never made the delivery. The move coordinator confirmed (we were communicating with her almost daily the delay status) that no delivery would be made on 11th or 12th. So, we flew to Denver closed on 11th and returned on 12th in time for new delivery date which was now on 18th. At no time did we refuse to be available for any earlier delivery date given that our goods as well as 2 other households were according to driver and move coordinator were in Jackson, Ms. There was never any agreement to "hold our belongings until 4/18 at no charge). We incurred unreimbursed hotel and last minute high airline flight charges returning to Colorado to handle our house closing due to their delay. Both the move coordinator and driver confirmed that our 2 king size mattresses were never loaded on semi truck leaving Denver. When North American picked up our goods it was in a box truck to be taken to their semi trailer for loading. Amazingly, they did deliver the 2 king size box springs but not the mattresses. Also, to demonstrate their incompetence, they were unable to assemble our master bed and just left it in our room unusable. Thus, we had no beds to sleep in resulting in 4 hotel stays while they were searching for what happened to our mattresses (still in storage in Denver we were told). We were unable to use all our bedrooms with our unassembled master bed resulting in our daughter canceling her visit until we had use of both beds. Both the move coordinator and driver were shocked to hear the 2 "king size" mattresses were never loaded out of Denver. Obviously, the local Denver people North American hired to pickup our goods in a box truck somehow screwed up on the mattresses. I noticed the box truck had other goods already in it when they started loading ours. Our contract called for a $100 per day reimbursement for delivery delay starting on April 10 thru April 29th for final delivery of all goods. We failed a claim for this delivery delay amount and claim for the numerous furniture items they damaged in the delivery. Yes, we paid extra for their so called "replacement cost" damage insurance. North American only paid a small $400 for the delay (4 days) and only paid for a "repair estimate" which they produced using their vendor - not replacement cost given that some of damaged furniture was beyond repair. Bottom line is we selected North American given they are a national company and had decent reviews vs. the smaller movers even though their move cost was much higher. Our move with this company was a disaster. One would be smart to look at their other major competitors for a multi-state move. Be advised their sister company is Allied Van Lines - so if their customer service is the same, I would suggest avoiding them also. STAY AWAY FROM NO

When I asked for the original quote they told me that depending on the weight the price could go up or down, when in reality it was a set price. The company also hired movers that dropped several of our boxes down a flight of stairs and then never told as if we did not see them from the window. Overall, I do not think we would use them again.
