We had an amazing experience adopting our new best friend here! I appreciate that they make sure to give you all of the info about your new pet and support even after the adoption process. They do so much to find these animals loving homes. Thanks for everything you do!!!!

They took in and cared for an innocent dog that was rescued from an internet celebrity named "Daniel Larson" who was abusing it.

My kiddo was doing the teenage volunteer program and there was almost 400 people there crammed in a small space. Then it wasn't set up or organized as well as it could have been so it was frustrating. It was mandatory for parents which I get but then set things up better so all 400 people don't rush the same table trying to get to one sign up sheet after you tell everyone that there aren't enough spaces for everyone there

Great shelter. We have adopted twice. BE PREPARED TO BE PATIENT. Seriously, It’s going to take a while in line to see an animal. Each person in the line is 15mins on average. Not quick but everyone there cares and is there for the mission.

The experience that I have had with this shelter has been an absolute mess. I had gone in to look at the different animals to see if I connected with any of them. I met this sweet kitten that I immediately knew was the one. On his papers it said that he was vaccinated and neutered. I was also told by one of the people at the front desk that “he just got fixed”. I paid a $30 holding fee for him for the night because it was past adoption hours. I got there the next day and they signed him away to me a lot quicker than expected for $300. Whenever I got home I was going through the stack of paperwork they had given me after I had already signed for him. It said that he was “ASSUMED TO BE NEUTERED” because they didn’t feel anything. I was told by staff that he was fixed very recently because that was specifically what I was looking for in the animal I adopted so I wouldn’t have to go through that process. Less than 24 hours after I brought him home I noticed that he had fleas. I called them immediately in search of advice and they said “I would just take him to the vet” they give you a “free appointment pass” but then I was told they couldn’t guarantee how quickly he could get in. I took him to the vet to get him and my other cat treated. Another huge bill that I was not expecting. They say that they will cover the neutering but it is a huge inconvenience because I live an hour away from this shelter…even at that they said that I would have to come in for them to triple check and then schedule the procedure. Over four hours worth of driving at that point. Not free if you’re counting the cost of gas. I would not want to go through them anyway because of the flea issue. I am very disappointed in this situation because I was lied to and now will be having to pay another bill to get him neutered and will have to go through the rehabilitation process. The animals here are so sweet and worth adopting but just know that you might be in for a lot more than you thought.

Very rude customer service. They talk over you like you're not there and allow someone else who is already being helped have a conversation with 2 customer service representatives. Minus stars if it had it. Common courtesy needed from reps and customers. Never even received any help regarding the animal I was interested in. Apparently with similar reviews they don't care how their employees act. Those people need some serious people skills. Those poor animals being around people like that.

This is the best shelter around! We adopted our dog here two years ago and they made the process easy and enjoyable. The building itsself is set up well so that is is easy to meet dogs or cats you want to adopt and the staff are very familiar with all the animals and super helpful. They also follow up afterwards and offer trainings and facilitated play sessions for your dog. Even if you didn’t adopt here they are the cheapest (and best) training option around. We just had leash reactivity training and the class was very affordable and the trainer was great. If you are going to adopt in the front range this is the place to go!
