Scott is not a man of honor before greed. After agreeing to accept my truck on consignment, he charged $500 to cover a detail and inspection. The inspection purportedly indicated some work to be done, and he wanted to either fix or renegotiate the list price. I asked for the paperwork and details, for which he refused. I decided to sell myself. The truck was returned, not detailed, and no paperwork for the purported inspection. After requested either a full refund, or partial refund for the services not performed (detail), telling him I'd be happy to pay for the inspection if he provided the information, he declined and stated it was nonrefundable. Pretty sad. I would NOT recommend Insight Automotive, even though he will convince you he's a hand shake kind of guy, and a man of his word. Terri Iverson

We purchased a GMC Terrain from this dealer and from the get go we had issues. One week in and the vents in the car didn't work. Scott told us basically too bad for our problems. Then the title paperwork was delayed getting to the county, and when we realized we were supposed to get either an emissions letter stating the car passed emissions or a coupon to have emissions done and Scott was contacted I received no response. That was probably because the car would not pass emissions. First biggest issue was to discover there was no oil in the car which caused several problems. Fixed those issues and attempted to pass emissions. Did not pass. Spent $4,000 to pass emissions.

Had a vehicle I was interested in purchasing. Was very slow to respond but understand owner was out of town. Had a vehicle picked out and was gathering paperwork for Insight. Drove back from Montana to get paperwork over and they had sold the vehicle. Amazing that it took 3-4 days for progress to be made since owner was out of town but wouldn’t wait (or care to inform me) for me to drive back from Bozeman (10 hrs). Normally, would understand but when you are the reason for delays and I had to leave for family matters, don’t sell from underneath me. If the owner was in town the sale would have been completed prior to my departure.

I was told it was not possible to change my oil without getting a new oil pan. I had them change out the oil pan, but the oil pan leaked. I brought it back, and they put another oil pan in. Again, I found out the oil pan leaked, which they had discovered. They didn't have one in stock so I drove home and tried to create an appointment. Scott told me his shop is closed, and would not take me. He told me to try taking it to a NAPA care center. I ended up taking it to a NAPA care center, and the shop said the oil pan was warped, and couldn't believe it was put on in the first place. I'm now on my fourth oil pan in 15k miles. If the shop is closed, I'm confused how it is even still open then.Insight also told me I had a bad power steering leak, so I trusted them, and had it fixed. I did not have problems with power steering before this, but now since it's been "fixed," I have issues with power steering. I've had two shops tell me that I need the entire system replaced. The power steering was replaced a year ago, maybe less.10/10 would not recommend this place for car repairs. I've burned through thousands of dollars on only faulty repairs.

What an amazing car buying experience! Scott personally stayed involved from the first email to the final signing for the purchase. I felt like I was buying from a family member. The car is pristine (my first corvette!) and he walked me through the features and a lot of history about Corvettes. This was by far the best car buying experience I ever had. Even if you don’t make a purchase, getting to meet Scott Middleton is worth your time! He is just a very nice knowledgeable person!

My fiance and I bought a truck from them last week and they were awesome! We were on our way back from another dealership down the road from them and didn't like the vibe so we headed on home. We saw a truck at Insight they had sitting outside and thought to stop in and I am so glad we did! Super professional, friendly and no sleazy car salesman vibes here. I would buy from them again for sure.

We met the owner shortly after my husband had completed chemo. We were in the market for a new pickup. He not only brought us a vehicle to our home to try, when we decided we wanted it, he brought all paperwork to our home and even put the license plates on because my husband wasn't able. We love our new pickup! A few months later we decided to purchase a new car. Because we had such a great experience at Insight Automotive, we contacted the owner and found exactly what we were looking for again. He took our trade-in and handled the paperwork without any problems! Again, we were so impressed with our purchases, that we would never go anywhere else. We have also done all service needed, like tires and oil changes, at Insight Automotive. I call and make an appointment and have never had to wait. I would recommend Insight Automotive to anyone looking for a new vehicle or needing service on their vehicle.

After getting acquainted with the owners, Scott & Forrest, and checking out the appealing inventory at Insight on many occasions, I started taking all my vehicles there for service. They have a great team of mechanics, managed by John, and I gladly recommend them as the trusted source for all my ongoing car needs. I look forward to every occasion at Insight as a visit with trusted friends, which is anything but the typical experience when taking your vehicles in for service at a car dealership. The owner might be the most pompous, arrogant, unscrupulous person I have ever had the misfortune to have dealt with. To say his business tactics are shady is as much as an understatement as to say Hitler was a painter who dabbled in politics. I'd rather wear nose hair extensions on the red carpet than deal with him or his staff again.

We have been taking our vehicles to Scott for many years now for service and repair -- everything from Toyota vans to Subarus to Dodge to Fords. His crew is awesome, skilled, honest, and have always done the right thing by us.
