Not really impressed by this. I had to go through 3 iterations of jackets, and shirts before finding something that kind-of fit. The final suit arrived the day before I had to leave so I wasn't going to try again. Overall, I'd say just go to a local place, I don't think the "algorithm" really works well.

Easy, informative and fun experience. The representative was personable and knowledgeable. I received all of my items on time and in good condition. Returning everything was super easy.

We went with the Black Tux for our wedding that consisted of suits for the groom and two groomsmen considering all three live in different states. The initial process on the website was easy, but did have to wait 3-4 weeks for the appointment. When we arrived, the employee looked tired, had wrinkled clothing, and wasn’t very helpful. We did still go with them due to the three men living across the country. Even though that process wasn’t easy, we got it done, and were pleased with the process overall. However, the first delivery had a damaged lapel that needed to be sent back and the suit jacket fit differently than when in person. To avoid any stress, we also had to pay for expedited shipping to ensure the suit arrived in time. We’re mostly happy with our decision as the men looked great, but it definitely wasn’t easy.

I wish I had read these reviews before paying so much to rent a tux from this company. They sent a jack that was three sizes too big and baggy pants. The shoes were also the wrong size. The fitting is a total joke when they send things that do not fit any way...Avoid this company at all costs.

Update: Black Tux is willing to cover tailoring costs so I updated my review. If the suit turns out well I’ll update again.Original Review: Horrible experience. I had to get measured twice for my wedding suit I bought, and it still doesn’t fit. The employee who is helping me indicated that it was his first day and not to worry because the alterations were free if I bought my suit, so I receive my suit and take it in for an alteration and they let me know that they don’t do alterations, the suits are not custom, and I have to pay a lot more money have someone re-measure me and alter my suit. You’ll have much better luck with an online rental company and won’t waste your time getting measured When they don’t even use your measurements for your suit

HORRIFIC experience, end-to-end. (Wish I could give zero stars.)Here's why:As a company now owned and operating out of Nordstrom - who is known for standing-by their products and have excellent customer service - I expected the Black Tux to fall in-line with the same quality and experience. This, among being told by their own employee that alterations done by Nordstrom were included, is why we chose the Black Tux.Firstly, their online user experience is horrific. From creating an account to adding your groomsmen in the backend to invite them to rent/buy, the entire UX/UI side of things was BAD. (It was actually shocking… you’d think an online retailer would at least have that figured out.) Anyway…So we schedule our in-Nordstrom fitting session with TBT, and the associate we were working with was at least 15 minutes late and it was obvious he was either new or simply lacked the training needed to perform his job to meet the basic standards a customer would expect. When I asked him if my fiancé, the groom, would be able to get complimentary alterations through Nordstrom on his purchased suit once it arrived, he said YES. Fast forward to the suit being delivered….It definitely needed HEAVY alterations. (Which was shocking, since we had him measured by TBT associate so the measurements would be spot-on.) So my fiancé takes the suit back into Nordstrom for alterations - where he’s now met with brand new, contradictory information that they DO NOT perform complimentary alterations on suits purchased from TBT. So now, we’re sitting here with a suit that is highly ill-fitting (come to find out, ALL suits from TBT are off-the-rack - whether you rent OR buy - even if you go into Nordstrom to be custom fitted. THEY DO NOT TELL YOU THIS!!) and need to find someone to now completely alter/restructure the suit to fit his slender body-type. So we take the suit to one of Nordstrom’s recommended tailors and are quoted 350 DOLLARS for the work needing done. This is more than what the suit is worth!! One of the core value propositions for TBT for us was that the alterations to make the suit fit perfectly were included. With that no longer being on the table, the whole scenario didn’t make sense… but of course, they make the groom buy the suit first online to then invite all the groomsmen to get theirs, so by the time we learned of this additional ~$350 tailoring/restructuring cost, it was too late because all of the groomsmen had now purchased theirs.Although there are a few other contributing factors that made this experience a nightmare and added salt to the wound, (like instead of them standing by their word and delivering the complimentary alterations we were promised, they offered us a $15 credit - LOL!!!) I HIGHLY advise any couple getting married to NOT choose them. Don’t be fooled by the Nordstrom association - you’re not getting a Nordstrom-quality experience. Definitely go with Indochino or another company instead.
I would like to offer TBT an opportunity to make this right. If I do hear from them, I’ll be sure to provide updates to this review accordingly.

Worst Experienced of my life. 2 days until my wedding they measured incorrectly 3 times, and I still do not have my tux. I now have to go find and buy a new suit within 48 hours. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.- Horrible Customer Service- People who work at the locations do not know how to correctly measure.- Warehouse does not ship on time.- They do not keep their "guarantee of having your order before your wedding."They ruined my wedding. DO NOT USE THE BLACK TUX-NEGATIVE 5 STARS

Such a waste of time to do an in person fitting. Would NOT recommend this approach. The appointments are booked weeks out in advance for the next available opening and they leave absolutely no breathing room between appointments. I had to drive over an hour for this fitting and ended up being late due to a bad accident on the highway. I called their customer service since there is no local number and was told the local branch at Park Meadows would be able to accommodate. When I showed up in person, I was initially turned away. I had to complain and pester until someone was able to size me. Turns out all they did was a single measurement. I could have done it all at home. It ended up being a 3-ish hour appointment just to have my chest measured and been given one pair of pants and one tuxedo jacket to try on. There is absolutely no real fitting happening here. Again would NOT recommend this service to anyone.

Signed up a month ago for an appointment at 5:30 pm and me and my fiancé rearranged our work schedules. Got a notification at 1 that day saying that the appointment was canceled and that the only thing I could do was set a new appointment two weeks later at 1:30. We then drove to the location to get an explanation, or at least book a more reasonable time since customer service over the phone refused/were unable to help, and were told by Nordstrom staff that the black tux was closed on Fridays and the black tux employee wasn't even there. Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. Borders on fraud.

No complaints about the service from Black Tux or quality of the representative, however the Park Meadows location is horribly understaffed. Friends and family that rented in other markets were able to get appointments last-minute or within a week at most, here was 3+ weeks every time (over 6 around prom season), and they are only willing to offer one home-try-on lifetime per account.

I had a fitting appointment scheduled and received a call an hour before the appointment informing me that the fitting was cancelled. The next available fitting is two weeks away. I called customer service and they refused to try and schedule an appointment for me sooner. I will now be forced to order through the online system, allowing an algorithm to guess what might fit me well, and will likely have to deal with returning items to actually get a correct fit. It seems that having appointments cancelled last minute is an extremely common occurrence at the Park Meadows Black Tux, as multiple other reviewers cite similar experiences. I wouldn’t even bother trying to book an appointment here, and am very disappointed in this company’s customer service.

The employee who was working at 4pm on July 13th was very unhelpful. No one was in the store and he would not take measurements because he stated that they require appointments. When asked if he could just take quick measurements, the employee expressed, “Well if someone came in I would have to help them.” That was his rationale as to not helping or doing his job.Terrible service for a company that sends a suit 10 days prior to a wedding and not allowing time to get it hemmed. Will not be using this service again due to this employee.

Rearranged a vacation to make a fitting only to find out the rep didn’t show up and my fitting was cancelled only a couple hours before the scheduled time. Get your tux in person somewhere else!

My fiance and I came together to get him fitted for a tux and Angel was amazing! She guided us through the process, offered helpful insight for newbies like us, and had tons of ideas to get the most wear out of his suit! Make sure to show your Military ID for a 10% off. Thanks again, Angel!
