When we were checking out our groceries in self checkout, Dominic was very nice and helpful, we had a great experience.

They don't like people of color here. The cashier had an attitude with me and my family, the rude stares and no help is ridiculous. Don't be racist treat everyone with kindness.

Average Safeway but very convenient. Have accidentally purchased multiple items that were expired, so check the expiration dates. Update, I have not run into this issue for some time. If you drink alcohol, the attached liquor store is convenient.

Never been treated so poorly by a cashier!
I came into this store today with my 15 year old son. We just stopped in for a few items, but when we saw a sale on chips and ice cream I decided to treat him and my other two kids. We tried to clip the digital coupons while we were shopping, but it didn’t work. I checked the fine print and the prices were valid for the date that I was shopping, so I decided I would let the cashier know and ask them to honor the price. From the moment I approached the cashier they had an annoyed expression on their face, I get it it’s a bummer when you have to adjust prices, but it’s a completely reasonable request — I started off by apologizing for the inconvenience, then explained the issue. The cashier said nothing. They just rang up all of my items while my son and I waited silently. Then, when they were done they sat there for a moment looking up, as though trying to calculate something in their head, and then removed $5 from my bill. I hate that I even had to object, but my family and I are on a tight budget and this was supposed to be a small treat for my kids who had all just gone through back to back doctors and dentist appointments over the last few days. The amount that I should have been charged was around $25 less than what I was charged. I asked the cashier again if they could just adjust the prices to match the sale signs — again they said nothing, thought for a moment and took another $5 off. At this point, thinking that maybe they didn’t have authority to change the prices directly I asked if there was someone else who could help. They rolled their eyes and began removing the $10 off that they had applied. I turned to the one person in line behind me and apologized for the wait. She looked at me and said “I mean she took money off, I don’t see what the big deal is” (ummm ok Karen, pretty sure no one asked your opinion and while you clearly haven’t had to budget a day in your life, I do — was what came to my mind, but instead I just stated the facts that she hadn’t matched the prices correctly). The cashier then turns to me and says “see, she gets it”, referring to the customer behind me in line. Ok, now I’m starting to get upset. It’s not unreasonable to request that a store honor the prices that they advertise and while $15 might not be a lot of money to everyone, you don’t know my circumstances. So fast forward a few minutes and a manager comes over and take $12 off my order. Still not what it should be, but I’m embarrassed and exhausted and I just want to get my son back home so he can relax after a stressful day, so I pay and leave. Now I don’t know if this cashier was having a bad day, or if they’ve lived such an entitled life that they’re incapable of empathy, but please “sheriff” (as it says on your nametag), for the rest of us just trying to get by out here, get out of the customer service industry if you’re going to take out your pent up aggressions on your customers and make them feel small in front of their child.
P.s. thankfully my son was raised right and the second we got outside he asked me if I was ok and told me that he was so upset at how they treated me ❤️

Do not shop here if you are a person of color. Will does everything he can to display his racism every time I shop here. I own a business and shop there a lot yo get products since my business is close to the Safeway. I have regular experiences unless he is at work. It’s so uncomfortable that I’m going to shop at Walmart moving forward and I advise everyone else too.

I was looking for the Amy's Kitchen scrambled tofu frozen meal, which the other area grocery stores didn't have, and I found it here. This was a quick trip to this store, but it seemed nice and would be worth shopping here again.

This Safeway is pretty much the same as all others, sparse for customers and employees. But the store was clean and fully stocked and I was able to get in, find what I was looking for and be on my way in a timely manner. The food in the produce section seemed somewhat fresh and presentable, but again it served my needs and I was satisfied. Good service all around.

Every time something is on sale, you can be sure there is none available at that store. The milk was on sale and the entire section was empty for 3 days (maybe more days, I decided to go to another Safeway to get some. For all I know, it might still be empty). The cashiers are always rude and condescendant. They talk to you like if you were stupid. I might just go to a Safeway 6 miles away to avoid going to that one even if it is 0.3 miles away. I don’t recommend.

Very nice selection they carry some items that I can't find any place else. Great experience, easy in and out with lots of parking.

I've shopped at this Safeway for about 6 years. When rona hit I noticed there were less mobility/scooter carts and eventually none at all. I'm an abeled person so it didn't effect me but was sad to see less abeled people heavily leaning on a cart. Then I started noticing the mini/half carts were scarce/gone. I generally shop a few times a week so the baskets are sufficient to grab a few quick items and go but the mini carts are nice if you need a heavy item. In the last month or so they have completely gotten rid of baskets and only offer full size carts. It sucks to have to decide to push a heavy giant cart around for 5 items or just try and juggle in my hands. They seem to be quickly losing tenured staff. The pharmacy is always closed every time I walk by, with a queue of irritated people waiting. Instead of the friendly crew that has been there as long as I have shopped, they have new people that generally don't know or don't care. There was a super friendly middle aged blonde lady that always helped at the self checkout, she had a little bit of a limp but was always super friendly and happy to help. Now there is another middle aged woman dark haired who had been there for a while but generally hates her job and the people that need help. She likes to add snide remarks about making mistakes or buying booze. Last time I was in the store she was loudly complaining that someone trashed the bathroom and she needed a new employee to go and clean it but was stretched too thin and berating a special needs worker to relay the message to stop stocking and clean the bathroom. As a result the stocker left their dolly full of stock in the middle of the isle. This has become unfortunately common and the isles are regularly clogged with stocking dollies that are abandoned for a bigger need, and navigating with a full size cart is difficult.I work across the street and this is becoming a general consensus among my coworkers, that it's easier to stop at the target or drive a few extra miles to the king soopers.I get that staffing is really hard currently, but having smaller shopping carts and baskets helps me navigate and if the option is to shop at a store that offers that, it's worth the extra commute.
