*Update in response to Ohana’s response — That is inaccurate. I did not consent to you posting information about my family’s application. Again, further justifies my review below.
This center has certainly earned much less than a 1 star rating, which quite frankly, is far too generous, based on our family’s experience. We placed our child on their waitlist nearly 2 years ago. At the time, we were told it was “highly likely” that he would be able to start with them within the next year or two. Well, the time came for their “school year”(both times) and after being told we would be informed by the end of March if he made it, which actually, took ME making multiple calls to find out well into April, and then never receiving a confirmation call from them, we learned he was on the waitlist in the SAME position slot that he was when we signed him up. We also learned that if you know someone (e.g. referral) or already have kids here, you’re placed ahead of those on the waitlist. How inconsiderate to those who took the time years prior to sign up and wait to find out if they even made it into the daycare. The staff rarely answers the phone and are very snooty when speaking with them about any questions you have as to where you are on the waitlist. They don’t return calls, at least, not in our experience with them. I assume the daycare will respond to this rating but I will say now, ***there are privacy rules, so any response from them on here with any particular information about my family will be a violation of the privacy act.*** The other 1 star rating on here is VERY accurate. This center really needs to think about how they treat potential families - this is certainly not the “Ohana” way. Luckily, we found a MUCH better daycare and preschool. We were impressed with the other location’s staff, communication and facility. Do yourself (and your family/child ) a favor, don’t waste your time with this place if you’re on the waitlist. You’ll find a better facility with a more respectful, communicative staff elsewhere. This places earned 0 stars but unfortunately, Google made me select 1, which is much too generous for them.

Do not recommend, very unprofessional environment (Teachers constantly on their phones). Not to mention administration is rude & very fake to say the least.

This daycare seems amazing but we'll never know. If you are thinking about bringing your kid to Ohana make sure to get on the waitlist at least two years before you're needing childcare and then be prepared to get your hopes up and then consistently be told you've moved further down on the waitlist. We toured here four months before our due date and 8 months before our daughter would be starting. At this time they said we were first on the list for the time frame we were needing to start our daughter in daycare. I called a month before I was returning to work to check in and we suddenly moved from number 1 on the waitlist to number 16 and they said it would be at least another year. Apparently, if someone is referred by another family they jump ahead of you on the list. This would've been great to know at the time we signed up considering we put all our eggs in one basket since we were first on the list. Needless to say, I had to scramble to find last minute care for my 4 month old. At this time, we were told our "new" expected date would be August 2023 which is an entire year later then what we were told from the beginning. We are now two months away from August 2023 so I just called to check in and was now told our new expected date for enrollment is 2024 which means our daughter will be two, therefore the wait time to get in is well over two years yet we were told we were number one on the list at the time we signed up with no mention of being bumped by 15 other families who were referred by another family. Good luck!

We love Ohana! We have been with them since 2019 and have nothing but great things to say. The teachers are amazing and care so much. My kids love going to daycare and I never have any concerns dropping them off. I would 100% recommend Ohana!

cannot say enough about how amazing this school is! we have been going here for two years and have had nothing but an excellent experience. from the owner to the teachers, everyone is very welcoming and happy to have you here. I’m the first recommend to this school to anyone I know. truly an amazing place to send your kiddo. they have a great balance of fun and learning with healthy lunches and “fun days” especially in the summertime. if I could give them ten star I would. thank you all for caring for our kiddos like your own!

We have had such an incredible experience with each class and teacher at Ohana. It gives me peace of mind knowing that my child is really well taken care of while I'm at work. Our kiddo has learned so much and cares deeply for the teachers. Every teacher seems to genuinely enjoy their work and care for all of their kids. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a high-quality daycare!

We have had a kiddo at Ohana since Feb of 2021 and our new little one just started last week. We have had THE BEST experience here. We had tried another daycare center, a family friend, a nanny share. Hands down Ohana has been the best value and given me the most peace of mind that my kids are happy, healthy and thriving all day while I am working. My daughters teachers from her infant room are no longer there as they moved onto other careers/went back to school but they were so kind! Ms Roberta and Ms Jesse are who she is with now. Every day when I drop off she has a routine with Ms Roberta that makes drop off a bit easier and Ms Jesse in the afternoon gives me a little synopsis of the day. I have also asked friends how our kiddo potty trained so easily and how can she sit so well at a dinner table. I do like to think I am an awesome parent but she gets 80% of this from Ohana (probably more but i want some credit too!)Our little one is with Ms Marge. She was the one we toured with when we were first looking. She is so kind and gave use a great tour. Now as our LOs teacher she has checked in when she has questions as we have sometimes forgotten to leave notes. After a few days our daughter is signing better for more & all done. For both girls I also can check for photo updates. I NEVER question that they are being well cared for and having a good time. They put so much thought into everything and we have made good friends with her classmates. We waited nearly a year on the waitlist for our first daughter and I can say it was well worth the wait! I also get why the wait was so long as I wouldn't pull my kiddo out unless I was moving or decided to stay home.

I have had children at Ohana for 4 years. We have had a wonderful experience. At Ohana, your children are treated as family. When I go to work everyday, I feel reassured that my children are spending the day at a wonderful place. The curriculum is great and the kids have a ton of fun too. I give Ohana my highest recommendation.

We will be at Ohana 3 years this August. The kiddos are prepared for Kindergarten, we’ve enjoyed the school and we have loved the teachers. This is only our second school but we’ve loved it and there is a special Ohana difference!

Putting both of our children in Ohana has been the absolute best decision! Our kids did not want to attend daycare and the entire staff turned their perspective around in no time at all! It baffles me that every single person at Ohana knows their name and makes us all feel so loved and welcome every day. Thank you, Anne Marie and staff. We could not imagine putting our children in a more loving establishment than yours.
