Horrible
Added charges to total and then threatens with negative review if you don’t pay the charges. In my opinion, not a good company to deal with. I stay away from them buy somewhere else.

Agreed on a price for some items, and when I went to pay they backed out and wouldn't sell those items. Non nfa non ffl items. Will not be returning
Edit: the manager was "to busy" to come talk to me about this situation

Holy Cow...What an experience this place is
I stumbled in looking to hopefully get some information on a WWII tripod I own, and I don't know if I've ever been more blown away in my life by a business.
I couldngo on, but if you are a gun enthusiast, a history buff, are looking to purchase a weapon, or just want to have your socks knocked off, this is my #1 "Must Visit" spot in all of Denver.
Huge thanks to Art, Carlos, Steven & Gio for treating me like gold.
Words cannot do this locally owned business justice.

I have to recommend this spot to any firearm enthusiast or history buff. This place is amazing with a capital A, they are well staffed, and very organized. There are so many books with accurate and detailed information on the past that we(history buffs) love to know and sadly can never get due to the electronic Renaissance. They have many historical firearms that are in excellent condition and go all the way back to the founding of our Nation. It's honestly a great time for a good read, maybe a fireplace hanger, or even a new addition to the collection. I will be going back so just look in the historic Colorado section, you'll see your boy reading up, just before I buy something else. Cheers

Awesome shop which has a feel of a high end museum. The guys that work here are very knowledgeable on firearms, especially historic ones. The prices are great and the selection is possibly one of the best for collectable and historic arms within the state. A must see place if you're looking for niche ammunition and arms.

Reputation = GougeOld Steel currently has a listing on Gun Broker for a beat up old Remington 700 .308 Kansas PD SWAT Sniper Rifle. The pictures of the gun show hard use and questionable care. The auction is set for an astronomical price. And, they will not respond to any questions regarding the auction. Unfortunately this further confirms their longstanding reputation as chiselers, and turns into yet another cautionary tale.

Reputation = GougeI have been in the Denver collectible firearms community for several decades now, and Old Steel has always had a reputation for being approx 30% above market value on their prices. Nonetheless, I had a few minutes to kill and stopped in to their new shop on Lincoln. Inventory is much depleted, and collectible rifles listed for several thousand on Gunbroker are stored on the floor for any drop in to dry fire. I saw a box of 6.5x55 Swedish marked very clearly with a price a few dollars cheaper than I regularly pay. I took it up to the register, and a young man who appeared pre teen looked up from his phone and indicated he would help me. He took the box from me and said "I'll just have to check a price". He proceeded to look on the highest priced auction site on the internet, and quoted me a price 5 TIMES what the box was marked as. Too bad. One box of ammo could have blossomed into a business relationship. Unfortunately it confirmed their longstanding reputation as chiselers, and turned into a cautionary tale.
