This will be an odd review, but bear with me,A decade ago, I brought a typewriter in for repairs my now ex had bought me as a gift. I was told at the counter that it would be 100 dollars to repair it and then a few days later received a call from the owner telling me it was going to be another several hundred dollars. This was relayed to me after they had dissambled the machine, and I felt they were holding my typewriter hostage and expressed such. After some scrambling (I was a broke 20 year old at the time), I was able to procure the funds, and repairs went underway. I received my typewriter in operational condition, though lack of use, caused by frustration and personal issues, has rendered it in need of repairs again. That being said, I have kept it all these years for a reason. I am quite the craftsman in my own right these days. I can now understand how difficult it is to predict how expensive a repair is going to be, especially when concerning antique or specialized items. I keep it to remind myself to value another craftsman's work and to understand the more specialized the work, the more understanding one has to be with the worker. If you're going to repair something special correctly, you need to be willing to double down.I took a star away as it certainly could have been addressed with more tact and understanding for me, the customer.I wish this company the best, and I hope they continue their niche services.

Do not to to any of their locations for any repair!!!! They are completely dishonest and do not care about anything but getting as much money for as little work as possible!!!!!! In my 44 years of doing business , I have never been scammed like this before!!!! I left my kitchen aid mixer to be repaired and they never even took a peak at it when I called when it was close to being promised to be ready. I had to pay ultimately $485.85 to get my mixer back !!!! I was desperate as I needed it for a party I promised to bake for and did not have time to get a new one. They acted as if this is a great price they gave me and that it takes hours to work on the mixers and the parts were so expensive , all lies. Do not go to them, they do not deserve to be in business. Worst people ever, dishonest, and shame on them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was in a total pinch and needed a speaker fixed ASAP for music work. It's worth $250. They assured me they've worked on music equipment and mixing boards for 20+ years. They charged me $150 including a rush fee, for a preemptive diagnosis. I asked them over and over what the rush fee meant. They assured me that my speaker would immediately go to the bench to be diagnosed, then I could approve the diagnosis on what repairs are needed within a day. 5 days go by and I've heard nothing. I call in and am told it hasn't even been picked up to go to a service center yet. Just been sitting there. At this point, I was told I could be refunded and pick up my speaker since it's been a completely different process than what I was told and I paid a rush charge for nothing. I pick up my speaker and the employee there claims they have no idea how to initiate a refund transaction but the manager will be on it and reach back out the same day. Two days go by and nothing. I email the manager twice, and nothing. I call them back, the same employee tells me they'll provide the managers number to me, and they just hang up on me. I call back over ten times in the following days and they never answered once. I call other stores and finally get a hold of somebody. They said the district manager would be in tomorrow and they take my name and number to have him call me back. I hear nothing back. This must've been my 15th attempt at reaching somebody. This company is an absolute joke. It's a scam, and they've done nothing but cause more headaches and problems for me. Take your business elsewhere and do not for a second consider supporting people who cause problems for patrons while claiming to service them, and doing so confidently with a chip on their shoulder. We need less people like this in business.

These people are crooked! They say they are giving credit then don't honor it and then they steal what you brought in. They say your machine does not work to up sell you a different product. Go somewhere else!

Very sleezy and vague. Typical slimy salesman tactics over the phone. Mixture of incompetency and sleeze ball. 10/10 chances you’ll get ripped off if you go here.

Great service. Took her time and walked me through all my options from repairing my old vacuum to other options to purchase. I was able to use my repair deposit towards a new vac.

If I could give zero stars I would. I brought my vintage sewing machines in to have them cleaned and ensure they would sew. I paid $338 for both, one needed the power cord rewired and expected to pay some extra when I came to pick them up. When I went in it was an additional $630 I asked what was all the extra charges. The lady couldn’t explain all the charges. What I figure from the receipt that breaks it all down is that the initial charge doesn’t have the labor added to it. So what does the $338 cover? The lady made it sound like that was the cost for cleaning which I figured was the labor. I asked her what the $338 covered, “the warranty.”So overall I paid $903 because she gave me a %10 discount, so $65 off. I would not recommend taking anything in to be repaired by this company they don’t give you an upfront cost and who knows if he actually took the whole thing apart to really clean it.What a ripoff and a laughable 6 month warranty on their work. I don’t plan on using either machine in the next 6 months.

Purchased Nellie's Mop for wood and tile floors... Excellent product that has let me retire old mop. The staff was extremely knowledgeable and answered all questions. In addition, product demos were fun... I suggest asking for Karie!

Called ahead and asked if they do free consultations. The guy told me to just come in and he'll take a look at it. I drove all the way down there only for him to say it'll cost $125 for the inspection. Other places don't charge for a consultation, very disappointed.

BEWARE, A SCAM. The owner or older man working took my vacuum explaining that the fee was $75 for "repair" and that they would reach out if any additional parts were needed. PLEASE BE ADVISED, this $75 "repair" fee is simply a DIAGNOSTIC. This business charges $75 to LOOK AT the vacuum. They then contacted me to tell me that my Shark vacuum valued at $225, would need another $140 work of service/parts, bringing the total to $215. That is $10 shy of A NEW VACUUM. I called back and told the guy it wasnt feasible and I would repurchase the vacuum and inquired about the $75 deposit that was supposed to go towards the repair, in which I was told I was receiving a STILL BROKEN vacuum after a $75 LOSS. ITS A SCAM. BEWARE. DO NOT SHOP. After my frustration, the owner then continue to try to SELL ME a vacuum for a "discounted price" of $170 AFTER ROBBING ME OF $75 for less than 30 minutes of work. I AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.

Absolutely APPALLING Customer service! Worst experience I think I've ever had with a store. These yahoos estimated 3-4 weeks to repair my espresso machine. After charging me $125 up front, they finally starting work on it after 5 weeks. This was only after I personally went in to complain about why it was taking so long - before that there had been NO COMMUNICATION. Then I was told it should be done early the next week. 3 weeks later they finally call me to say the machine is nearly beyond repair but could be fixed for nearly $450 parts and labor (on top of the $125). We bought the machine for $400 so I said no and thanks for wasting my time. If you want to waste your time and throw away hard earned money, More Than Vacuums is the place for you! Otherwise keep looking elsewhere.

These people are amazing! They were able to get parts and repair my older Dyson (which I dearly love) when several other places said they couldn't get parts and that they couldn't repair it! Even a high end Dyson vacuum repair shop said it couldn't be fixed. I will be going back when the time comes....
