My horse had a mishap this past weekend (of course). I called LLC. It wasn’t an emergency but had the potential to be serious. They responded within 30 minutes! They were kind, gentle, and thorough. Explained everything. Can’t say enough about how wonderful they are! Being new to the area one doesn’t know who to call and trust. After they left, another horse person came up and stated they have used LLC for years and loves them! Horse people are very picky and particular about who cares for their horses. I would recommend LLC to everyone. I can now relax knowing I have found an amazing team to care for my heart horse!

We are very fortunate to have one of the finest equine hospitals in the world right here in Colorado. When you truly need the best go to Littleton large animal clinic.

RUDE RUDE RUDE RUDE Bad Customer Service, they do not listen, they do not answer questions, NOT WORTH THEIR UPCHARCHES! Everyone knows that Littleton Equine charges more than anyone else for the same services, they are the most expensive in the area. Totally rude disrespectful office! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND COMMUNICATION

To say I am unhappy with the service we have received from this equine center is an understatement. In July of 2022 we needed a PPE on a horse we were looking to purchase remotely. I discussed my budget with the Vet, Dr. Tophin, prior to the exam and was clear I could not go over unless it was important. We discussed how best to approach it to make sure I was using that budget most appropriately so that I could feel as comfortable as possible making the purchase from afar with as few tests as possible. He allegedly preformed the services we agreed to with of course our big focus being on his feet. He allegedly did x-rays and "all looked ok" at a fee of 800$ and it specifically says on the invoice that he took the horses shoes off "in preparation." He then suggested a drug test for NSAID which he quoted at 400$ and I agreed to that. I have never received one radiology report, no x-ray films, no drug test results nor written report of any kind ever but I took his quick explanation over the phone that the horse was completely sound. Just a couple of days later the horse was shipped directly to us without stopping. Upon immediate arrival we noticed he had plastic shoes on that completely covered his soles and his feet smelled so bad you could smell them several feet away. He had an infection in his hocks that was so deep that he could not be ridden for the first two months we had him. He clearly did NOT exam his feet without his shoes on or he would have noticed this. We still don't know how he didn't notice the smell. This caused my daughter to miss her entire fall Hunter Jumper season because she missed the summer she needed to prepare. Then when they sent their final invoice, they had over charged for the drug test by $175.00 which I have asked to be adjusted in emails multiple times. When I could get nowhere with the bookkeeper, I asked an office manager to call me. I explained to her the full extent of the horses lameness and the apparent lack of examinations that I was being charged for. Her only response was "a partner did this work, there is nothing I can do." That was it. She said she would get the drug test charge corrected but never did. I have never NOT paid a bill by anybody but this was the last straw so I just started ignoring them. Now they have turned my account over to a collection agent and the charges listed say 3029.55 instead of the 2302.75 amount on their last full balance. I could not even use the exam to get horse insurance because I guess there are no x-rays so I had to pay another vet who provides reports and films after every exam. I talked to the other family that used them for their PPE in our group and they over charged them as well.

Called to make an inquiry and the woman answering the phone was extremely rude and short. Not a great impression to give potential clients.

all about money and racking up a bill, zither scheduler is a real rude asshat, asked about a certain Dr , as every time I get someone different and 10 different opinions, She said "All booked for weeks' ok so who else is available on the subject, ? she replies All our vets are emergency vets if you want someone to come out" Me" oh so no matter what there is an extra emergency fee on top of your travel fee and already high prices and to date they don't know what is wrong with my horse? Well I don't know she says' , F you failed lady

Dr. Dunbar did a fantastic job extracting three teeth for my 25 year old gelding. She made the procedure very easy for him and me. She had all three teeth out in under an hour and he did not seem stressed at all afterward. He healed very fast and was obviously not traumatized by the procedure. I would definitely go to Dr. Dunbar again for any future dental needs. I highly recommend her and all the great vets at LEMC.

Over the years LEC has had a monopoly on large animal care in the SW region of Metro Denver, and due to the scarcity of large animal care, this clinic has enjoyed little to no over site of their policies and procedures. The managing partners have lost touch with the needs of the community, the cost for far too many animals in need are out of reach. All businesses need to operate at a profit, however when profits are vast and care for animals in need in short supply, the scale is tipped and fiduciary responsibilities are dismissed. My personal experience with this establishment has been tentative at best. 15 years ago a beloved horse received a joint injection, the procedure was not sterile and the horse suffered a joint infection, which is a very serious medical condition. The vet that performed the procedure refused to accept responsibility for the botched injection and billed full charge for the substandard service. Another vet was brought in to save the horse and when we requested the fee be covered by the vet that mishandled the procedure, the request was denied Since that time we have refused care from that veterinarian. Over the years we have spend more that $100,000 on services at this hospital for our herd of rescue horses. During this time I have observed many mistakes made by the staff. When the mistakes were brought to staff attention, we were banned from visiting our horses. We simply brought the mistakes to staff attention to ensure the best possible care for our horses. We have been met with angst, and hostility from the staff at this hospital for being our horses medical advocates. Seems fragile egos and CYA policies to protect the reputation are more important that learning from staff mistakes. Today we called with an emergency, 7-old horse colicing, and we were refused care. We have always paid our bills, have no outstanding balance and are respectful while not always in agreement with policies. If you have a differing opinion about policy, this clinic is not willing listen, in fact you may be blackballed as we are. We are driving from Littleton to Fort Collins now with a horse in emergent need of medical Intervention, hoping she can make the trip. Shame on the egocentric nature of this hospital and their entire management team. Placing poor policies over animal care and denying care to an animal in need is unconscionable.

This vet has saved my horses lives multiple times! They will always be my first choice even if I move out if state. When I lived in wyoming most people I knew brought their horses all the way there for important services. They truly are the best. They have such loving and caring staff I could never imagine putting my horses lives in any other hands.
