Pretty clothes, zero service, not even a “welcome to the store”

The worst customer service. I also went to put on a new linen top tonight. The buttons split in two and now after spending 98.00. I need to buy and sew on new buttons. The clothing is over priced and the quality is sub par.

I love the clothes but customer service is TERRIBLE! The last time I shopped here I waited on myself--found my items and went to a dressing room on my own--no problem. However after waiting for more than 10 minutes I couldn't get a salesperson to pause what they were doing long enough to ring up the items. When I asked how long it would be a gentleman told me "You're just going to have to wait. I'm helping two customers in the dressing rooms." So I left the store and went home to order the items over the phone. The person in customer service was SO SORRY and "gave" me free shipping on my $200 order (BTW shipping is free on orders over $125) She also promised to follow up and said I would be"hearing from somebody". My credit card was billed immediately and a week later there has been no "follow up" nor have my items been delivered. When I called customer service today the same person said she would have her "team" look into it. No more J Jill for me.

Overall the salespeople in this store are not helpful. Most of the time they are too busy talking to each other and customer service is nonexistent. I have also experienced their rudeness during COVID19.

Went here today, 2:45 p.m. ready to spruce up my late summer work wardrobe. The store was not busy, yet not a single one of the three clerks greeted me. Took a few things to the fitting room - had an outfit ready to buy, but stopped to let one of the clerks know about a damaged item. Was treated as though I was quite the inconvenience, and rudely told to just get another one. Put my items back, left quietly, and spent my money at Talbots instead.

This was such a disappointing experience. I expect a much higher quality product for the price. I purchased an $89 top just before Christmas. I have worn it 4 or 5 times and always air dried it after washing. Last week I discovered it was badly pilled across the back and shoulders (not a typical place for ware). I took the shirt back to the Aspen Grove location where it was purchased. The manager explained to me that high quality fabrics are made with long fibers, and fabrics made from shorter fibers are lower quality are more prone to pilling (in other words it is a low quality textile). She also explained that while some stores will stand behind their products, J Jill will only accept returns within 90 days and there was nothing she could do for me. She did encourage me to donate the shirt to Goodwill. When I tried to review the product online, my review was rejected by J Jill. My husband and I have both reached out J Jill Customer Service and have received no response. I have other clothes from J Jill that have lasted for years, however, based on this experience I will shop elsewhere in the future.
