Well, as a 15 year banker with Great Western Bank. I can say 100% that First Interstate Banking chain is the worst banking chain I have ever heard of. As soon as the bank was boughten and transferred into First Interstate Bank, my money in my business and checking accounts, was delayed often up to 15 days at a time. Over drafting my account multiple times and completely screwing up any of my automatic payments for all Billings. This bank does not cooperate with any 3rd party banking apps which is crucial in this era. But, most of all this delay is shady, and inaccurate. Sadly after loving GWB I closed my accounts permanently and caution anyone and everyone not to bank with First Interstate Bank. The staff is awesome from GWB but not First Interstate Bank.

I've loved great western bank and have been with them for six years. That said, ever since they merged with first interstate I've had nothing but problems with the online, atm or even trying to get my direct deposit back to a working order. The tellers and bankers have been nothing but helpful during this but there is so much they can do without any kind of help from the upper management. I used to recommend this branch to friends and family but not anymore.

While I didn’t know that great western bank was bought by first international bank. I found out when I tried to log onto my app. I can’t even access my bank info online. I used my regular debit card to get my kids ice cream after school got out for summer, I get a “fraud” detect on my card and now it’s not useable. I am currently on the phone waiting now for 40min. Yesterday when I called I waited for 30min and they hung up on me. Once I get my direct deposit switched to a different bank I will leave this bank and not look back. Not a fan of bank fees, and definitely not a fan of their non customer support. ??♀️

Went in to try to get a direct deposit fixed after contacting them by phone. They told me rudely that I needed to call again. When I called again the person on the line told me to go back into a branch and hung up. We have yet to fix this. This rude customer service started after they added fees onto the account too. We'll likely be moving away from this bank soon because it's ridiculous that I have to jump through inane hoops to access my money.

Horrible representation of our Bank. Customer service was hurendous. Treated rudely and made wait 20 mn in drive thru while no customers in or out. I go to union branch treated great by bankers. Horrible representation!

I’ve been a customer here since 2010 or perhaps even before. Rhonda, Kris, they always, always took care of me. From a question to help with overdrafts, loan deposits from different branches. I love this bank and I’ll be a customer for life.

I have had a checking account with this bank for over a decade, one of the first to open account here. I have never had an issue with GWB until recently when my account was overdrawn due to a payment that was mistakenly charged to my account and when the business that I notified mistakenly charged me went to return the money they said they bank had already returned it. So now not only was I charged an overdraft fee of 35$ I was also charged a return fee of 37$ which would have never taken place if GWB had already charged me the return fee, it hadn’t even been 24 hours. So not knowing my account was overdrawn they have now been charging me 12$ a day on top of the other fees ( which also had no clue about this $12 fee was never notified of this fee, never signed anything about this new fee.) I know this doesn’t seem like a lot of money, but being a single mom in Colorado these charges are devastating to me at this time. I use to recommend GWB to all of my friends and family but sadly I’m closing my account and will no longer be able to recommend them.

Interview process is ridiculous. Person interviewing me phoned in instead of taking the time to meet me in person. The manager at the office sat in on the call with her back to me and did not partake in the interview at all except to pass her “judgement†when it was finished making a comment to the interviewer that we will talk about that later with a bit of a negative connotation.

Customer service is terrible. Nothing but a bunch of people who take advantage of their customers. Refused to give my father a new card because "he had no money in his account." Found out money was stolen from him and now it's all being dealt with after being lied to for months. Be careful when banking with this bank.

Customer service is poor. Dealt with Meredith who just comes across very aloof. The branch is dark with little lighting and has a hill-billy feel to it. Didn't feel comfortable. Not a good place to bank.
