This was my first and last time dealing with a Gerber collision. GEICO sent me to this location after accepting responsibility for an accident involving one of their policyholders. I was greeted in the lobby, by a shorter male employee with greased hair, slick back, who refuse to give me his name, and a female. As we walk out the door, the male employee begins telling me he doesn't like to work on vehicles made before the year 2000. Since I showed up in a 1999 Jeep, they probably wouldn't be able to work on my vehicle because most the parts were probably discontinued. So I ask "if you already knew you weren't gonna work on my vehicle why did you let me drive down here for this appointment? Why didn't someone call me ahead of time? The male employee responded "well we didn't know till we saw the vehicle" which is impossible, because they were telling me as we walked out the door before even seeing it, They weren't gonna work on my vehicle. The male employee ask, "would you like to go somewhere else?" to which I replied " yeah, I don't think I want to do business with you guys after all". I get in my car and proceed to leave when I noticed the male walking back to the building, glaring so hard he's about to break his neck and clearing trash talking me to his fellow employees. I rolled my window down and ask "what's the problem?". The male employee replies. "you tell me you little b****!!" Rather than engage. I just asked "what's your name?" he then replied. " you don't need my f***** name". I immediately called the corporate office to share some feedback on my experience. Then had Geico find me a new body shop, got an appointment set up with Caliber collision, they assured me they will be able to begin working on my vehicle the day I drop it off and that they would appreciate my business, regardless of my vehicle's age. I'm not recommending that you go to a Caliber collision, but I am recommending that you go to any collision center other than a Gerber.

The staff is a 1st round pick for sure. Johnathan was very helpful and went out of his way to repair my truck. He and the staff made the whole experience a smooth one. Christian, the PDR specialists is the best. He made the dent in the door disappear. My truck looks new again

Three months of having my truck, three trips back, it's still not fully repaired. They returned my truck back to me the first time with new body damage, a dead battery and wires/hoses/bolts disconnected or loose. After returning it to them the second time and having it for multiple days my concerns were still not addressed. When calling to speak to the "manager" he was irritate that I contacted corporate telling me "do not contact us again and only go through your insurance" then proceeded to hang up on me. So much for Gerber's satisfaction guarantee on a 15k repair; certainly makes you wonder what other shortcuts they took. I look forward to speaking with their corporate office on getting this resolved.On a side note Jose was very personable and professional when I called, maybe their management should take some notes.

My vehicle was hit pretty bad by a hail storm in June. I called Gerber Collision and they were able to get me in quickly. The communication from Jen and Jose was excellent. My car looks great! I would definitely use Gerber Collision again!!Services: Painting

Stay away from this shop. I cannot attest to the body work they do, but the office staff and manager are negligent and rude. I scheduled an online appointment for an estimate, choosing this shop because they had availability. We used the after hours drop box because our car needed to be towed on the weekend. I called Monday morning to confirm the appointment and was told there is no appointment because online scheduler is not accurate and they are booked. They accused me of “dumping” a car on their lot and I was told to remove it that day. I asked them to lock the key in the car because I wasn’t sure how long it would take to make arrangements and it might be later in the day. When I arrived, the key was in the envelope with my name and address on it in plain view on the windshield of the car tucked under the wiper blade!!! Anyone could have just unlocked it and taken anything they wanted. That is unprofessional and unforgivable.

I couldn't give them a lower score and it wasn't an option. They do not like to help women. It took a month to get the appointment. I took my car in for an estimate I needed for court on an uninsured person that hit my car and Chad took pictures. He stated he would speak with Brian, the adjuster, to get me the estimate. I waited over a week and went into the store because my calls, emails, and messages didn't get returned. Brian didn't listen to me at all. He stated he would have me the estimate by Friday August 4th. That didn't happen. I only have 1 estimate for my court case thanks to Brian not doing his job. The young lady at the front desk had a bad attitude when I requested to see Brian. They made me wait over 30 minutes. They constantly have staff out and not communicating with each other on cases. I would not recommend Gerber on Otis and Colfax to anyone.

Very professional, made it easy for me to quickly make an appointment, come it, get an estimate and get my situation figured out in less than a week. Staff was friendly and professional!!

I would have given them negative stars but that was not an option. We took our truck there after it was hit. I spoke with the guy who looked at it and told him that some of the parts that needed to be replaced my husband wanted to change out and would pay the difference above the insurance claim. One part he said could not be done, but the other part he said that we could do that. He said he would call us with an estimate. He then just tore apart the truck and only would work with the insurance company and refused to discuss the additional parts. No estimate ever came. He claimed to my husband that I said that was okay to do. (Ladies beware!!) then to make matters worse he refused to put the truck back together. This is the worst shop I have ever experienced! Go elsewhere!!

Lack of communication, I have an appointment at today morning and they just called me and mentioned can't take my car in because it was towing. Great to know at time of appointment on which I waited 3 weeks for my appointment. They should have mentioned it before when I scheduled, via call and email.

The collision repair was great but communication was terrible. My insurance company called and said they were told the car was done before the shop even called me, which was shocking as I had called the two days prior asking for an estimate of when it would be done and was blown off. I was told Jose would call me, which he did end up calling but it was the next business day at 3pm. I also had asked for an estimate on my windshield (cracked from a different occurrence) and was told they would look at it when I dropped my car off, I wanted it fixed at the same time but was never provided that information. I’m sure everyone was busy and I appreciate their work, just a little more effort to communicate with me or answer my questions would have made this way less stressful.Service: Body & Trim

Johnathan and crew were great! Took our Kia Sportage to Gerber for body work. Since day one Johnathan and office staff were friendly and kept us informed about our vehicle, they provide us updates weekly via text since they had to order parts due to unforseen damge to our doors. They kept to their estimated time frame of 3 weeks for complete repair. When we picked up our car it looked brand new, they did an awesome job and they even detailed the car. Fortunately my car was driveable after an accident; unfortunately all the shops in Denver partnered with my car insurance were 2-3 months out in even getting an appointment for an estimate. I called this body shop and they were able to schedule me in that same week, and provided an estimate by the end of the same day. I gave them the go-ahead to order the replacement parts and then when calling to schedule my repair, was told it was 6 weeks out. HOWEVER they mentioned that people would cancel so I touched base the next week and was able to move my appointment to 2.5wks out instead. When I got my car back (3 days later), it was like the accident had never happened! They also vacuumed my car, cleaned my dashboard and displays, washed my car AND tire shined my tires.Overall this was a great experience with super friendly and responsive staff, and very accommodating of all my questions. I would 10/10 recommend this shop to anyone!

Update-The general manager reached out to me and personally took charge of the issues I had. We received our car and the work has been amazing.The issues was with their automated update system which is supposed to send updates on the car repair status twice a week. The GM is aware of the issue and is working towards finding a fix for it.I was very impressed with how quickly he responded after posting my initial review and continued checking in with updates.If they get their system fixed this would be a total of 5 stars for sure!Thanks for reaching out Gerber and working through my complaints. I would use you again for sure!????****************They have had my car for almost two months and have not even started on it!!!Every time I call they tell me "we will start on it next week"- It's been almost three months since my accident and nothing is being done!!!****************

I Highly recommend Gerber Collision & Glass . They are knowledgeable , professional ....., friendly and truly care about their customers . and do great work!!! Jose the Manager is hands-on , and very knowledgeable They offer wonderful customer service .
