I went on Earth day which was a free day at the gardens. It was a lovely space to walk around, although most of the buildings were closed and I think it was a little early in the spring for most plants to be blooming. They had a lot of different stations and activities for kids set up though and there were a variety of farm animals out and about. There are different parts of the gardens, I walked around a path which took me to the far end of the gardens which is part of their Deer Creek Natural Area. There weren’t a lot of people around that part, but it was a great spot to observe wildlife! I brought my binoculars and saw different kinds of birds, ducks, prairie dogs, and some deer tracks in the dirt.

Wanted to go here on our anniversary and had it planned for weeks. They close their doors at 4pm and then close the garden at 5pm.I called hours before hand to basically beg someone to let us in a few minutes after 4pm as we were running late due to an emergency. I explained kindly that it is our anniversary and this is a really important date. The woman refused to help and said we can always reschedule. She didn't respect me or the importance of this day. What is so hard about letting someone in a few minutes late when the gardens are still open!?Very disappointed.

I love everything about this place. There is so much to explore and see. They do a very nice job of providing a beautiful open area that covers everything from natural areas with native flowers, too growing crops and farming.I highly recommend visiting when they are offering different festivals or special events. You usually need to have tickets in advance though. Membership is worth it.

We attended the pumpkin harvest festival here in 2023. While we enjoyed the time here, and we were surprised at the limited number of food and drink offerings. We were expecting to see a few more or at least some different variety. The pumpkin patch itself was good and we were able to find several pumpkins of different sizes. We did not try the corn maze, but other people said that it was really great. It happened to be a particularly sunny day, and it should be known that there is very little shade. That is no fault of Chatfield Farms itself, but should be known that if it is quite sunny, bring a hat or an umbrella.

We love this place. It’s mellow and quiet. Although they did make some changes by the barn and Silo that we thought they shouldn’t have, we still like this place very much. They took away some of the old animal stalls, and other things that show how old the place is. Wish they would keep with the old and authentic. In the summer you can see many hummingbirds by the yurt. Also by the silo. There’s a pond in the back that they now have a fountain, it would be nice if they would have some picnic tables( but they don’t) so bring a picnic blanket if you like water to sit by. By the other house on the east side of the property, they have some animals that kids love to pet. They also have massive vegetable gardens. We have never come in the winter, we’ve only been there spring through fall, but have never been disappointed .

What a beautiful place to go for a walk and enjoy the outdoors in different ways in every season. We went for a walk on a day before they had an event going on and we really enjoyed the space. The people working here are so kind and wonderful and hard working. I look forward to coming back for more events and things to see and enjoy. We both had a great time and spent a lot of time this day here! Definitely a place to come back to again and again !

We went on a beautiful late summer day. Took our time and walked around all the trails, and admired the gardens and pollinators. Identified several native plants to try in my own garden. I especially loved the Green Family barn and brick silo. The grounds are well maintained. There were a few busloads of school kids there on a field trip, but surprisingly, it didn't interfere with our enjoyment of the grounds. Plenty of space for everyone to do their own thing. The butterfly garden was closed for the season, so I plan to go back next year to experience that.

Absolutely beautiful and relaxing place to spend the day! I was impressed with all of the features and the atmosphere. Though maybe October is not the most ideal time to experience gardens in colorado the remaining living plant life was so beautiful and well cared for! The pumpkin patch was also amazing! The best selection of ornamental gourds and pumpkins! Definitely go if the opportunity presents itself!

Went to pick up pumpkin at their pumpkin patch. Great pumpkins. Corn maze was fun to escape from. Lots of food trucks, drinks and snow cones. It's a great event for family with kids to hangout and have fun. Lots of activities for kids.I got here at 9:10am and there was a long line for parking.

Lovely gardens near Chatfield Reservoir. The fall colors were fantastic, in October 2023, and the unusually warm weather made for an easy stroll through the corn maze. Met other, friendly people there and saw a wedding venue in a nice corner (wedding was the day before). Looks like a great place to host events, too, for family or work
