A Tire-some Experience at Costco
My recent visit to the Costco tire center was a truly frustrating ordeal. What should have been a straightforward tire mounting turned into a three-day saga. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that the center was understaffed and disorganized.
The wait times were excessively long, even for a simple service like a tire mounting. It felt like hours passed before I was even acknowledged. I tried to inquire about the status of my vehicle, but the staff seemed to be too busy or disorganized to provide any updates.
Attempting to contact the tire center by phone was equally frustrating. The lines seemed perpetually busy, and I was never able to get through. It was as if the employees were working in silos, with no communication or coordination between them.
The lack of transparency and customer service at this Costco tire center was appalling. It's clear that they prioritize efficiency and cost-cutting over customer satisfaction. The three-day turnaround for a simple service is evidence of this. I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future and would advise others to do the same.

Had a tire blowout and had it towed to costco. Supposed to repair the tire and they said they weren't allowed to service perrelli tires. I said ok well how much for a new set of tires. Basically said we don't have a tire for you. Seriously, you can't get another brand tire that can fit my car? Had it towed to discount tire where they found me a replacement set. Costco's tire center is very limited on what they can and can't fix. I'd give them 0 stars just because there's no effort in finding me a tire when they sell Michelin tires. Everyone should go to discount tire or any other tire place than Costco. Your chances of finding your tire are greater than Costco as they're purely limited in all aspects.

I had a blowout on the highway and went to this location because my tires had been purchased at a different Costco. Night and day between the two. The first Costco replaced all four tires in a matter of a couple hours and got us back to traveling the 600 miles home. This location had to special order my tire and told me 72 hours. I had to repeatedly call to find out if my tire was delivered, and someone never put in a proper invoice, so no one could ever find it unless they had really good knowledge of the order system. Finally, I get the call the tire is in. Initially, no one can find it STILL. They get the new one on only to find out that the actual price is twice what I was quoted. Also either they cross threaded my bolt when trying to take my spare off and wouldn't admit to it, or I suffered some mechanical wear to the bolt so I had to take my vehicle to yet ANOTHER shop to get that repaired.
Two stars only because they honored the warranty.

Not a real tire shop. Wouldn't touch my car because the tires weren't bought new from them. Tires were brand new.

Competitive prices but the service is beyond bad (Quincy Ave, Denver). I was (in the counter monkey's words), 1 minute late for my appt. It's been 2 hours and my car is still sitting in the lot. If 1 minute late blows up your day so badly, don't blow up mine ..if I needed to reschedule just tell me. But there are 2 open bays and I've seen at least 6 customers come in and go out. They're very clearly making me wait out of spite. Hopefully someone at Costco mgmt is taking note. I would not buy tires here again bc of this. I may not shop at Costco again bc of this.

Costco is the DMV of tires. Terrible service. Takes forever. Poor quality. Will never buy here or hire them for anything again.

The tires are competitively priced, but the service is terrible. I got 4 tires. They didn't have an option to add tire sensors. So I get the tires and they say they can do the pressure sensors too. Come back next week and they can't get them to work. Over the course of more than a month, these guys can't get things to work, they don't have appointments before 10:45 and even time I come in, they eat more than an hour of my day. I think getting your tires serviced here makes sense if you are retired, because you're gonna spend hours standing around waiting on these guys. If you need your tires serviced once, go somewhere else.

Love Costco and have bought tires throughout the years, but will never buy from them again because one month to get an appointment for tire rotation is unacceptable. Went to the Nissan dealer and they did it for free with no wait! Called Costco customer service to express concern, but representative was rude and pretty much unwilling to help with the matter. The tire center manager was unhelpful and not apologetic or understanding in any way. The store manager listened to feedback, was empathetic, and was willing to take my concern to corporate.

Extremely rude communication from the manager during my last visit. A rotation should not take 3 hours with an appointment. If it does, a simple apology is appropriate, not an argument. That was enough to keep me from buying tires from them again, but then something happened that I should warn you to never buy tires there. We were driving on the highway when our tire began to wobble. I pulled over to find out they failed to tighten one, and it was on the verge of coming off. This could have resulted in a horrible accident, especially since this is the vehicle my daughter often drives. By far, the worst tire shop I have ever been to.

I wanted my tires, rotated. He said he didn't have a space until December 1st and it's November 1st really that's not good service I called Auto station if they don't take me this morning I'll take it over there and never have anything to do with Costco again the guy was really Rude.
