This college is a nightmare. Serious issues with staff and unable to get the required items for class only to be ignored by the teacher and higher ups. Don't try to communicate or advocate for yourself, they don't care. Plan on paying a ton of money for silly things like extra costs and never getting refund checks. As a former employee, they know about the issues but refuse to fix them. The admissions, welcome center, and advising are all difficult to say the least. This place is a scam and provides limited if any education. Avoid at all costs and pick a school that is good not this bs place with issues.

I learned a lot during my time there but the bookstore has become nothing but a giant ad. Every other week I get emails to buy this or that from some brand company. Most of the time it's nothing useful and way out of budget for students. A 2 pack of pens for $7? Get outta here

I can't wait until I am done with this school. I have one semester left and the financial aid department has not been helpful at all. I call and I am put on hold and then speak to an administrative person rather than financial aid. I send emails requesting the college to call me with information as their generic emails are very confusing and misleading. I have had much better experiences at FRCC and private colleges that I have attended. I am so happy this is almost over!

everything about this place is great, except for the coffee. My latte tasted like coffee flavored microwaved dish water

had every intent to learn computer sciencewhen i went. payed a couple thousand dollars, got economics and psychology. i only showed up for two classes and was severly disappointed on top of getting the wrong classes and not my money back. they tell you to show up to class to review what you taught yourself on your own time. why even go to an institution? my time is already occupied with trying to work and survive in this god forsaken city. when i set time aside for class time i expect to learn there. not to pay yall to have me do your job for you ontop of getting the wrong classes. i did notwant a degree cause its not necessaryfor my industrybut did that stop them from making the best monetary decision for them vs for me? no fuck this school and all the peoplein it.

i actually feel sorry for this institution. faculty is highly-credentialed, and it appears students - @~70% like their experiences - but working there is agonizing if you actually possess great skill sets; you get lost in the weeds. cliques. extensive bullying. zero accountability. snotty staffers (except the Welcome Desk-they were always cute and lovely). alot of turnover - at all levels. there was also a great deal of power-mongering-those who don't have it make asses out of themselves in demanding it. just sad. really could be something.

I went to this school during the pandemic meaning all of my classes were online. Let me tell you what a train wreck. They were sending me bacteria to grow in my house, having me video record myself cut up a heart on my kitchen table. The list goes on. Then when I dropped the classes because I refused to do ungodly experiences in my house they charged me fully for the courses and more. The online forum did not work for me and the school is 100% useless in any help regarding finances. Which they had no problem sending to collections.

I'm so disappointed with this school. I qualified for Grants, didn't need all of it for the classes I took -- they wanted what I didn't use repaid, no problem I understand that. Went in to give the money back, and they charged more then what I had been given in Federal funding (meaning they charged me for one of my classes, even though my Grant covered it.). When I questioned the cashier, he was no help. It wasn't worth fighting over, it was only a hundred more dollars -- but my trust in this school is now zero. Cool scam. I'll be going to a different institution for the rest of my needed classes, I'm unwilling to risk being charged more then what I should. On top of this, one of the classes I took -- the professor was a disaster. She constantly rambled, lost track of what point she was trying to make, and was just unclear ninety percent of the time, so the class was a waste. Having to reach out to your teacher for clarification happens, but having to do that consistently is a joke. Honestly, it was bogus to take a class taught by someone so unqualified -- the kicker, she teaches public speaking. Zero speaking skills -- she had no business grading people for getting from point A to Z during a speech when she herself failed so miserably at it. She also had no idea how to use the computer for class -- that's kind of important when everything is remote learning. It'd be laughable, except for the fact people are paying for this. I highly recommend not attending this college. Yeah, it's cheaper for a reason -- unless they mess up billing of course.

The entire atmosphere is very accepting. People from all walks of life travel through the halls of ACC. I enjoy the classroom sizes the most; it made for an easy transition from high school to college. When taking transfer, general Education classes —I can actually get to know my professors. Instead of taking a class with 300 other students, the classroom size of 28 (or less) makes it really personal.

As a young adult residing in the Denver metro area, continuing my education had not been high on my list of priorities for the past few years. As many locals would know, the city of Denver is ever expanding and with that comes a higher cost of living; therefore, supporting myself since the age of fifteen has required a full-time schedule plus overtime, working multiple jobs and leaving little to no time to consider school. After many years of living a monotonous work life and jumping the ranks, I found myself finally having time on my hands to experience normality. Escaping from work, I ran towards the beginnings of creating a better future for myself through earning an education. Today, I can say that attending Arapahoe Community College has been a positive change in my life and it's only the beginning. Their tuition rates, friendly staff and multiple locations have made the transition into student life quite smooth. ACC has the lowest tuition rates when compared to other local schools. Being a young adult, this tidbit helps as cost of living is rising and helping my family in times of need can be a large factor of stress. After seeing the affordable tuition rates, I knew it was possible to earn a college education. This institution understands that although they may have one of the lowest tuitions among Colorado's public higher education institutions, some applicants may need additional assistance. Here, it is offered through multiple avenues such as financial aid, work study, scholarships, grants, student loans, and veteran's benefits. According to ACC's website, in the year 2018 there was $29,883,530.00 awarded in financial aid and scholarships! Being a first-generation college student made the entry process even more nerve wracking. The way ACC has organized their institution has made the process of applying and scheduling classes quite fool proof! For every obstacle encountered the staff at ACC are a call or click away. For example, while crawling through the financial aid process, there were moments of confusion and feelings of frustration. All I had to do was reach out and an advisor or two were there to alleviate some of the stress, offer words of encouragement and at times even a laugh or two. What really stood out to me was the amount of support I felt all before the semester even began. As time was closing in for the first day of school, I had lingering doubts for needing to juggle work with being a full-time student, so I scheduled yet another advising appointment. I had the chance to meet with Anna Del Rosario. In this meeting, she not only answered all my questions--there were many-- but she also revamped my whole Fall 2019 term. This consolidated my schedule to one campus, in turn reducing commute time. Since starting classes at ACC, I would say my favorite class, much to my surprise, has been math. The class started off being instructed by the math department chair and soon-to-be Dean, Danielle Staples. With her promotion to Dean, unfortunately Danielle was unable to continue teaching the class, resulting in a shift in instructor. Her awesome teaching style made the material less intimidating and boosted self-confidence, giving me the courage to excel in this course. ACC has three locations throughout the Denver Metro area, making this community college unique as they are not limited to only the city of Denver. This institution serves in Parker, Castle Rock, and the main campus is in Littleton. The variety of campus locations is useful for the student body who juggles a hectic life of working, school and commuting in the insane Denver rush hour. Personally, this was a huge deciding factor in choosing to attend this school because time management is made just a bit easier. If you are looking to continue your education and create a brighter future for yourself, Arapahoe Community College is a great institution to take the first step in achieving your goals. If you've done your research, you'll see that this is the place to be, with their affordable tuition rates, overachieving

I kind of would like to respond to another review sent by a law student talking about email harassment here , but I guess it don't work that way here. And to another reviewer about teacher favoritism , All strong precursors to possible sexual harassment . Any way, I been to this college too , and also been on the light rail train in Littleton station since then, next to this college numerous times in the past few years, and I always would notice grown children coming out of this college looking all frustrated as they got on the train. It's really consistent too. I went to this college and felt the same way. I got forever suspended here for leaving my test on my teachers answering machine , because she was out to get me . And I wasn't going to get any other chance to do it any other way. She was out to get me , because she knew I was what she hated so much. White Christian straight conservative male. I reported her to every faculty member and on to the student services rep. , dean , and president and only sent them into action of protecting themselves from harassment claims in doing so.They all ignored me. They then said I did this and that and set me up for a hearing of which I was supposed to go to . They gave me a students name and number , to represent me and even a student / faculty lady to represent me. I tried calling her and him , and never got a response from either. I went in to the meeting all by myself and not really sure of what to do or what to expect. It turned out to be a witch hunt by the administration. To get me to forget what I said , claiming and complaining about and go away. To get me to shut up about my complaints concerning harassment by a teacher I had. Basically shut up and learn to stay that way. I did because they don't want to hear complaints, but got life time suspension anyway, That's is their motive , not whether there is any problem or not, because they wouldnt know how to deal with a problem if their ever is , because they would have to make a judgement call . Instead they make you the problem . That way there isn't a problem other than with the person originally claiming there is one. Your complaint never has any wings to fly, basically is their solution to it and never will . Colleges NEVER have problems , Only students do. A failsafe system way to make sure nobody complains or reports any problems to them. And so they can convince the next incoming class that they are problem proof. Look at their record . No complaints here. Doesn't get any better than that as far as they are concerned . And that is as far as they are ever concerned . It's about money . Tuition. That's what makes them go. They basically are out to protect themselves when / if they get any problems reported to them . They can only be co-Horts , (they have no other choice ) , with the harasser. Because the harasser works on the same side as the people you have to report them to. A conflict of interest . The fox guarding the hen house. To be known as a non problem school is their primary goal in a nutshell. So to cover it up like it never happened is the best option they have and that is exactly how they do it . Bad college , that have teachers and then some, that abuse their power and get protection from the people above them to do it because the college don't want a complaint, right or wrong , in their files . It's ALL about reputation with them and they want a good one. And being clean of complaints is a GOOD one. It is their only concern and they will do anything and everything to make sure it stays that way. Their Hands are always clean. They have a school to protect , NOT students . Keep that in mind if you get into any kind of trouble here. It only gets worse if you say anything about it. If the urge to complain gets the best of anybody make sure you document everything. ( record all contact , conversations, yes it's legal ) ( trusting these people won't get you anywhere) . You still won't get you anywhere . But you'll feel better. Hopefull

I am so upset with how I am treated continuously after being a loyal student there for so long. I call about questions on my account and every single person tells me differently when I was told I can make a 10% deposit and do monthly payments I got a call back later and the guy told me that whoever told me earlier was wrong and that they wouldn't help me and he started raising his voice and getting upset with me because somebody told me differently and I told him it's unfair that they switched it up with that. They are so inconsistent with their word and they are never available to help you and constantly have no idea what they are talking about or care to listen to what you have to say!!!! It's horrible especially for a school who just takes your money no problem
