The good: I had an excellent experience at the office, making the appointment and with the technician. I had a brain MRI with contrast done on June 7. This was because of a traumatic brain injury.
The very bad: It is now the end of August and I do not have my results. I have called more than a dozen times, left emails and a fax number but no results. There is no email contact. This level of lack of follow through and the difficulty of reaching someone who knows something is just awful. I am entitled to my results and the images. Couldn’t they have been mailed….. ???

Customer service in this new millennium is not just dying, but dead. Tuchstone is just such an example. While the MRI technicians may be excellent, I could not make a first appointment without much aggravation. After being called by a computer, I was asked to navigate several menus entering personal information at each step. Finally, a customer service agent answered and asked again for every piece of information I spent entering. What about “my” time. The credibility of Tuchstone immediately fell apart and I sought their competitor, Health Images. While Health Images also did not have a “live” agent, they had an online fill-in-the-blank form that led directly to appointment scheduling without any agent whatsoever. Bingo.

After having just received life altering news regarding my health, I called to schedule 2 procedures as their text to me informed me to do. The girl that answered my call was nothing short of AWFUL. She was rude, combative, condescending, and overall seemed annoyed that I needed any help from her. She made everything so much worse and had me in tears. When I asked to speak to her supervisor, before I could finish my sentence she had transferred me back into the call queue. While I’ve had many positive experiences with Touchstone Imaging, sadly this interaction will be the one that always stands out. Kindness, compassion, and a little patience is all I needed, and deserved.

I was nervous about my walk in imaging as it is first come first serve but I just arrived when they opened and it was so fast and easy. My tech was kind and informative as is often missing in the medical field when patients are feeling so vulnerable. A great experience.

I don’t leave many reviews, but for those concerning healthcare. This business is part of our healthcare problem; the medical receptionists quoted me wrong co-payments, twice. It has been 6 days since my imaging appointment and the radiologists have yet to read my results, and upon calling to ask for help the medical staff at the site was horribly rude and put off that I would be calling to request results.
Healthimages has reads done on wknds., typically turning around ultrasounds within 24-48 hrs. Always kind admin. Much better experience.
