Goddard of Lakewood is a great place for my kiddos. Everyone has been amazing and my children feel welcome everyday and developed a love of school. I truly appreciate the environment, staff, and opportunities Goddard has in place for its students and families. It has been the perfect choice for our kids to learn and grow. Highly recommend for other parents looking for a well rounded, welcoming preschool experience.

We started out preschool journey at a different school and joined Goddard almost two years ago . The difference is dramatic. My 2 yr old child went from screaming every day ( which I thought was from her just not wanting to be away from me) to being excited to go to school. Asking every day if we were going to the new school. She went from having potty accidents with wet shoes at the old school, to being completely potty trained within days! its amazing if we work together the difference a school can make. Her education was drastic too. They said they had a curriculum at the old school, but when I asked her about it, she didn’t have much to talk about. Now when I ask her she says, we learned sooooo much and can’t stop talking about it! No school is perfect but this is the best fit for our family I could find.

I am the grandMother of two children at this school, 1 year old and a 3 year old, seems like they don’t understand children that are allowed to play fall down and actually get to be children , they are mountain children that live in the woods and play on hills, get dirty, and scuffed up now and again, I grew up like this and my children were raised like this, this school consistently calls CPS like they are abused, THEY ARE NOT! They send the Sherrif to my house stating my youngest grandson had bruises on his face which was an out right lie! The sheriff laughed and said I have no idea what they are talking about, I have children, these are mountain kids and I don’t see any form of abuse , this is just one incident, the older one gets jealous and sometimes overly active with his little brother, so they turn them in again , The baby cries when left there and usually crying when picked up, besides the fact the food that is sent is not eaten and instead a diet of which causes diaper rash given by them , Both are dying of thirst when picked up, they are not allowed blankets and the baby still likes a bottle but apparently doesn’t get one, so needless to say I am not pleased with this school at all!

We have been with this Goddard since both my kiddos turned one (now 2.5 and 5). It has been an amazing experience and I truly feel my kids have a leg up with the education they have received. Couldn't recommend more! This school and the entire staff is amazing!

We have been very happy with Shannon and staff at Lakewood Goddard since 2013 for our two children and we can't recommend them enough!When my wife and I found out we were pregnant, we visited several day cares in the Green Mtn./ Golden area and some seemed pretty good but none had such a warm vibe from every aspect to the first impression, brightness, cleanliness, secure entrance, friendly staff, nice rooms/ facilities, great outdoor areas, gym, etc., that Lakewood Goddard had.We were really impressed. From the staff to the babies in the infant room and the kids throughout, it had a very positive feeling and we could tell it was a great place for our children and it still is today.The owner, Shannon is incredible as are the staff. Both of our 2 children started Goddard at 3 months, our youngest is still there for another year and we could not be happier with they provide with play based curriculum, socialization, arts, sports, the daily email report with pics of our kids from that day, etc. Of course it's not cheap but like most things you truly get what you pay for and Goddard has been and still is absolutely worth the price.We greatly appreciate Shannon, Dustin, Kaitlin, Kristin, Lupe, Alyssa, Barb, Cassey, and Beth (I probably forgot someone).We are grateful for Lakewood Goddard and we highly recommend them.They have provided and still provide exceptional care for our children. We highly recommended the Goddard school in Lakewood! We've had 2 kiddos in this school for 4 years and have been extremely impressed with all aspects. We appreciate the cleanliness and diligence to attending the specific needs of each individual child from diapers through potty training, communicating with us the entire time. The teachers are truly engaged with the emotional growth of our children and we love their play-based educational curriculum. We are proud parents of smart, healthy and well-rounded tiny humans thanks to the Goddard school in Lakewood!

This is a tough review for me to write because at first we had an amazing experience (in the infant room). The ladies in the infant room are fantastic and I would recommend them all day long. The only reason I am really writing this review is because I wish someone would have warned us. Unfortunately when my daughter transitioned in to the next room, it was a disaster. First, there is constant turnover at this location. Second, my daughter constantly had terrible diaper rash because "their policy" is to only check the children's diaper's every 2 HOURS!! So my daughter was sitting in her own filth for hours a day. We actually had to ask them to check her diaper every hour, and then they would ask us every Monday if we are still doing the whole check her diaper every hour thing...."YES you should do that for every child, forever". After several weeks of my daughter coming home bleeding and in pain from the diaper rash enough was enough and we left. The last thing I would like to put out there as many other people have is, it honestly feels like the ownership doesn't care, nor does the lady up front in the afternoons.

I run a music class at this school and I cannot tell you how impressed with it. The children are always very well behaved and staff attentive. The management are always very welcoming and kind. It is clean and smells fresh. I highly recommend it.
