Lady named Michelle at the front cashier number four was rude and giving attitude the whole time. She should be fired or leave if she doesn’t want to work. Clearly, she does not know basic politeness and is very disrespectful.

I just left this location and had to immediately write a review to share my experience about the horrible attitude one customer service employee had a few minutes ago that she had to start a scene in front of customers. I know this review doesn’t matter but I feel like I need to call her out publicly so that management AND customers coming in are aware.
It’s 5 minutes from closing time and I’m calmly waiting in line for one of the self checkouts to open. 3/4 are taken and one has an item in front of it so from my position, it looks like that one is closed. After a minute, the attendant covering the receipt checks yells “checkout 4 is open”, the one that had the item covering it. The counter is very small so I needed to remove the large bag 1. So I can check out my items and 2. So that no one behind me confuses it for being closed to make everything more efficient. There’s no bin or cart to put people disposed items into and that employee was busy helping another customer and I didn’t want to interrupt her so I placed the bag on the corner of her counter and said “sorry I don’t know where else to put this”, quickly turned around to check out my items so that I can be out before they close. I scan my 4 items and halfway through, she huffs and rudely says to the OTHER CUSTOMER “some people man” in her normal tone enough for me to obviously hear it. The customer she’s helping nervously lets out a soft “hah”.
I’m not going to let her try to embarrass me to a customer who had nothing to do with the situation so I say to her “because there was nowhere else to put it.” without looking to not cause a scene but stick up for myself. She then raises her voice and yells out “you don’t need to be rude” and I say back “neither do you.” She then says “ma’am, you can go over there” (I’m assuming to the front registers) but I had already finished my checkout.
Another female employee came up to me and nicely said “oh did you get it?” (the sensor off of the shoes I bought) and I said no so I followed her to her checkout counter to get it taken care of. She was very nice, calm, and handled the situation smoothly. I thanked her for her kindness and told her to have a good night. As we were ending the exchange, the male security guard assisted and then spoke into his walkie talkie and said “a customer threw a purse at you??” I immediately knew the rude employee was trying to blame me for a situation she handled poorly. He was confused (because there was no assault) and not even looking at me but I stopped and told him “No, I just placed the bag on her counter and she got mad.” Both he and the nice employee said “oh!” And I thanked them for being nice and told them both to have a good night again.
I never made eye or physical contact with that rude employee. I never raised my voice at her. And I certainly didn’t try to embarrass her or bring other customers into it. I realize it was closing time, it was probably a long day for everyone working there, and that they just want to get home. But that doesn’t mean you need to take it out on customers or anyone else for that matter.
For any managers wanting to check the facts on this via security cameras, my receipt says I was on register 8 at 09:54:10 PM on 5/16/24. I also want to say that I live all the way out near the airport and I specifically drive to this location because I normally have a pretty chill solo shopping trip here and always have a great experience with the employees (shout out to the security guard with the colored hair and the employee with arm tattoos and dark hair) which usually makes the long drive worth it, until tonight.
The only reason why I’m writing this long review is to share my very detailed experience to set the record straight. To that employee, I’m sorry you were having a crappy night and I hope you made it home quickly after your shift. But please try not to be so defensive and take your frustrations out on the customers. If you don’t like your job, quit

No, I am not waiting for you to check my receipt with 5 people in line when I used self checkout and had no employee assist and you are an egregiously slow employee. This is one of the worse Ross’s around, hell on earth in crowds, messy floors and these ridiculous policies. Pay heed management, if you’re worried about theft increase employees and cameras not require customers to do your job.

I think your self check out is the most ridiculous I have experienced.
The cashiers are rude.
I haven't been to one in quite awhile and I doubt I will be back.

Addicted to Ross. How could you not be, the best deals on clothes, got a whole outfit including two pairs of shoes, some Hugo Boss, and a thermos for right about a hundred bucks. You can beat that. Not for the quality of the clothes anyway. We try to stop at every Ross we see, you never know what they got for ya.
