Absolutley the worst warrenty company out there. I say this from the repair facilitys point of view. I have dealt with them in the past and this time I was hoping it would change. Doesnt want to pay for our part and want to send a real cheap one. After having the customers car apart on the lift for a week the part arrives, guess what?? Its the wrong part. At this point my lift is tied up and they want the customer to wait another week for another inferior part. I asked them about renting the customer a car and he laughed and said he should hire an Uber and laughed. The bottom line is the customer paid to have the car repaired as he needed it back. Do yourself a BIG favor and save your money or find a better warrenty company. There are a lot of better warrenty companies out there.

As other shop owners have noted - This company does not value my time or the car owners time. They also wont ever pay my full labor rate and they don't cover stuff thats pretty clearly "covered" in agreement. Im 10 business days into a basic fuel pump and transmission replacement. They sent an adjuster to take pictures I could easily take.
Overall this is not a good experience for the customers or shop owners.
Update - claim denied for impact damage (trans had a scratch on it so i can almost agree here, but fuel pump cracked at hose on top of tank...... not an impact)
Customer just cancelled contract. 2nd one in a row.

I put three years of my life into working with American Auto Shield.
That’s the umbrella that carshield and others work under!
If have a warranty that falls under that umbrella warranty craphole, drop your policy and find another that is not associated with American Auto Shield.
It’s true that any and all their powertrain adjusters are looking for ANY reason to deny a claim!

Terrible experience!! Car shield kept my truck in the shop for 3 months, no rental and left me with the $1500 bill to put my engine back together

The rear differential in my vehicle went out. My mechanic want get parts & repair it. 1 day wait for parts @ 9.7 hrs labor- simple.
This Cristopher Beatty insisted on a remanufactured unit. Waits 6 days & he ordered the front differential. Then we went through about 6 more days of rude people hanging up on us, Beatty dodging phone calls etc. We were told multiple times that he would call back in 24 hours. This went on until my truck had been sitting there for 3 weeks. Finally got the BBB, Texas Bar Association, & General Manager of Ford Dealership doing the repair all involved & he finally took the time for a 5 minute call to say he approved letting us just repair it.
They also denied me a rental unit for over a week waiting on approval from the same guy that was dodging phone calls. 🤬☹️

Horrible insurance no one accepts it due to it cheap & not wanting to pay reputation. They send you to places that they then say is overpriced. These are there authorized repair place . They want you really to send your car to third world places where they can get third world prices & junk parts . It is such a ripoff scam company. It not worth any stars stay away. There customer service is absolutely abhorrent as well .

womp womp the absolute worst. wait on hold for 30 min, tell the advisor hey man, can I just call you back after you figure it out? no, wait i need you on the line.......30 min longer.... "Being sent up for review, we will get back to you" So yea, could of not blasted an hour for nothing......kinda like I knew it would be for nothing. drag feet for weeks on claims, send used parts that will burn up in 5kmi.
oh and most shops wont even take this bs warranty because when it comes pay time its ALWAYS less. they will approve an amount then when payment comes it will be less.....guess who ends up with the remainder.....the customer.
by far the worst in the biz. you guys make being a service advisor more hell than it already is......thanks for that

My truck is sitting at commonwealth Volkswagen. I took my car there two weeks prior and was sent home because they had to get clearance from CarShield. I was told to take my car to VW on Saturday for an inspection which I did. Got a rental that was approved only to be called today 11/4/24 and told that I had to return the rental bc the oil leak was a preexisting condition. Learning this after my car is in the shop, car isn’t fixed, and not sure if the repair is gonna cost me $500, $1000, or $2000 out of pocket. This is the most atrocious thing I’ve ever gone through. I will NEVER and I mean NEVER refer anybody to this company. Absolutely ridiculous and a complete ripoff.

I see a lot of bad reviews with this company. Fortunately for me, that has not been my experience. I have two vehicles with warranties(2011 BMW 750LI and a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado LT). Just noting major repairs, in 2023, I had to replace the transmissions in both, exceeding $16,000 for both. My total out of pocket was $600. Now I'm up for renewal and I'm thinking, I may have been a fortune customer 🤔. I may have to shop around 🤷🏾♂️.
