Gas is always the cheapest in town and I just love the beef jerky, soda’s, and pizza they offer

We re-aired our tires here after many hours crossing from Silverton. Good strong air pressure pump. Gained some gas to make sure we had enough gas to get Gunnison. We refreshed ourselves too by getting snacks, sandwiches and using their restrooms. We visited September 22nd 2021.

Great place to get gas and a snack before hitting the road or the trail, not to mention the store has a lot of neat trinkets and souvenirs including handcrafted knives, Not to mention the employees like achu, And the owners are very helpful and pretty awesome, I would highly recommend this place to anyone ?

Scott and Tina run a really nice operation here. You can get ice cream at their mini mart among other treats and rent a cabin as well. They are rustic cabins to be sure, but they are in middle of the Rocky Mountains! Cell service anywhere in town is almost non-existent so be prepared to unplug, which is its own blessing. Lake city is gorgeous and surrounded by a multitude of recreational opportunities!

This was a great place to stay. I read through some of the negative reviews and I think some people need reminded that these are indeed cabins and not the Lake City Hilton. Our Cabin was clean and tidy and felt like a quaint little cabin. Laundry room was tidy and orderly. Scott and Tina are great hosts and very helpful with aligning us with where the sights and fun were to be had. We will be back next summer with more in tow.

Made a gas stop to top off before heading towards Engineering Pass. Friendly service and they carry just enough common items.

We stayed at these cabins 2 nights, 2 cabins July 2020, they are not very good. In 1 cabin the front and back doors had visible gaps at the top and did not stay closed or lock well. The water heater pipes run through the bedroom so it's very loud when someone showers. The other cabin the bathtub did not drain properly and the toilet wobbled when you sit on it. The kitchenette is from 1940's and there were few pots or pans to cook with besides cups and plates. The floors were very uneven, even in bathrooms. The only reason we stayed here was cause we had 2 dogs and booked late, everything else sold out. Definitely not worth $110-120 we paid. We stayed one night at another place in Lake City, recently remodeled with nice kitchen and tons to cook with.
