We did not stay at the hotel. The staff was very friendly. They have some great designs on t-shirts and hats and lots of nink-nacks.

I had a last minute change of plans and needed a place to stay in Lake City. We were able to get a room at the Silver Spur Motel. It met all of our needs. The staff were very kind and helpful. The owner John was so very sweet. The rooms are neat and clean. I loved that it had a mini kitchen with microwave, refrigerator and stove. It is right in the middle of town and we could walk to the shops, restaurants, river and town park. I would stay there again!

Great little motel and clean. Forgot a very special item in my room when I left and they were Kind and Honest enough to mail to me. This means a lot to me and should to you. Thanks Robin and crew.

We had a great stay here after some grueling hikes on the Colorado Trail nearby. We knew we would not get there till late, ~10PM, so they left the key under the door mat so we could get into the room whenever we got there. Very comfortable double room with a king bed in the main room and a queen bed in the other room. The bathroom was off the 2nd room. All for the same price as a regular hotel room. It was nothing fancy per se but an excellent value! This gave us plenty of room to spread out out gear! There is a TV in each room. Everything was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable with a very sturdy real log frame. Perfect furnishing for the area. I checked several of the other rooms and most were similar double rooms too. I will definitely stay here again when I come back to LC!

Such an amazing little gem in the middle of town. Owners were incredibly nice and hospitable. Highly recommend this affordable, clean, and cozy motel in town!!!

The gift store had a large selection of things and the prices were very reasonable! I was impressed! The gentleman that owns the place was really nice and gladly answered all of our “touristy” questions about the area and town. I would definitely recommend stopping by this place!

I’m writing the review on the gift store side of the business. We were so excited about all of the wonderful gift options there were to choose from and each walked away with several things. The variety and uniqueness and quality and price were all superb. We got to chatting with the owner about the town and local school, etc. and he was so kind and friendly and very proud of his small hometown of Lake City and the strong athletic and academic success of the high schoolers. We were happy to support the small businesses of Lake City and will definitely be coming back.

Great hotel with an amazing gift store And liquor store on premises. The owners are always there and are some of the best people you'll ever meet. The amenities are in par for a mountain town. This gem in Lake City is a must visit!

Blinds broken, curtains broken, sink didn't drain, no lid on the toilet, no screen on the windows, old blankets, seats are worn out with holes, linens were clean but they were worn and had holes in them couldn't discuss problems because there was no one there in the morning until ten. The night before the check in staff was friendly. Definitely not worth one hundred dollars a night.
