Russ Brown is a wonderful artist and a great guy. We love visiting his shop every time we come into town and love our pantings we have bought from him over the years. Highly recommend if you are visiting Lake City to come check out his place.

I have uploaded a piece of Art I purchased from this gallery about 20 years ago. Not sure if he is still doing this type of Art but I get compliments on it ALL the time. It hangs in my home office and so is the backdrop when I am on video conference calls.

Russ Brown is an amazing artist and even more amazing and genuine man. I have endless respect for him.I lived in LC for about 3 months, 14 yrs ago (2009). I stopped in to his shop to look around and was amazed by his art. His paintings really started my love for art, and now I have a decent collection of art from many different artists and photographers (mostly amateur and street artists & photographers). We also had great conversation on that visit, and each returning stop in.Thank you Russ for sparking my love for art, and the incredible painting that I purchased from you. This is a memory that will never disappear.

Walking down Lake City CO Main Street, we happened to step into Mr. Brown’s gallery. What an eye opening experience! On one wall were beautiful Colorado landscapes etc. On the other wall were amazing paintings of military hardware, mainly aerial. What a contrast! We were immediately captivated, viewing one piece after another. Mr Brown is a very kind, interesting and engaging man. He patiently addressed our many questions regarding his art, his life, his philosophies. One of the best finds I’ve ever come across. He and his studio are wonderful treasures. When in Lake City, this is a must stop!

Recent visit to Lake City, where I spent some of my early youth back in the 70s. Walking around the park, I spotted some WWII Aircraft paintings in a local gallery. Big fan of WWII aviation, so we had to go in. Met the owner/operator/artist Russ Brown and a great conversation. Very talented and his work was impressive. Prices for the paintings we liked were reasonable, but we are RVing so no room. We do plan to contact Russ in a few months and ask him to do a helicopter painting with my father-in-law's unit insignia and a/c number. Even if you're not in the market for a painting, stop by and chat with Russ. It's a stop you won't regret.

I was in Lake City this week visiting friends. They told me about an art gallery that I would love and just had to see. Well, they were right. Russ Brown Gallery was truly a hidden gem! The quality of the artwork was awe inspiring. I was drawn (as my friends knew I would be) to the aviation section of the gallery. Russ Brown is an amicable and engaging fellow, with a vast knowledge of all things aviation, as well as the history, mountains, lakes and trails around Lake City. I bought a small painting from Russ, and we spoke together for over an hour. I had the feeling that Russ could talk all day, which was fine with me, as I felt I could have conversed with him over our shared love of aviation for a solid week without repeating ourselves once. I will definitely travel this way again in the near future, but until then, I will treasure my singular piece of Russ Brown art, until I can bring some of its brothers and sisters home. If you are ever near Lake City, Colorado, make time to spend an hour or so with Russ. You will not regret meeting this fine artist.

Lake City is blessed to have such a unique artist in Russ Brown. Pilots, aircraft & car enthusiasts will enjoy his work as much as nature & wildlife lovers. We have a number of his works and they make great gifts, too!

I bought some paintings from Russ Brown while he was still in Sedona, right before he moved. One of the acrylic paintings is a self portrait of Mr. Brown, sitting on the ledge of the red rocks. I cherish it. I was drawn into his gallery, by his friendly demeanor and the fascination of watching him paint as we talked and I browsed. His nature is definitely kind, and it was worth the visit just to speak with him. I spent over an hour trying to choose my favorite painting to purchase, so I ended I up buying two.

Russ Brown does amazing painting and you can watch him paint--he is in the gallery all the time. He is a fascinating guy with a rich history of the Lake City area and hiking around the area. His knowledge and expressive painting of aircraft, the area around Lake City, trout and various other things is an inspiration. Whether you're in the market for art or not, it's worth a stop in Rudd Brown's gallery.

I bought a painting from Russ about 4 years ago. His aviation art is something I really appreciate. We'll be in Lake City this month and I hope he's still there. I'm thinking of commissioning a painting.

Love this art gallery. He paints the neatest stuff. I even had him paint something for me when we were in town camping last fall. He mailed it to me and took extra care to ensure it arrived safely. He is a very nice guy and fun to talk with about the area and his paintings.
