Fantastic atmosphere and far less busy than Ouray, even on President’s Day weekend.Make sure to bring a LONG anchor line (+30m rope)!

About Lake City Ice Park
Just one block south of historic downtown Lake City, Colorado, is the Lake City Ice Park, a favorite among ice climbers who prefer small crowds, stellar routes, and a casual, fun atmosphere. Climbs are free, but donations help support the operation of the park.
The Lake City Ice Park has three ice climbing areas, Pumphouse Park, Beer Garden, and Dynamite Shack, with more than 50 routes between the two mixed grades WI3 and up.
The Lake City Ice Park is a great destination for Colorado ice climbing and is open from December to March, weather permitting, is family (and canine) friendly, and has fire pits, restrooms, and warming tents.
