Thalken is a lovely little art + gift shop in Old Town Lafayette. Handmade jewelry, greeting cards, pottery and whimsical t-shirts abound. I always find great bits for stocking stuffers and birthdays (as well as myself!). Stop by!

On one of their signs it says, "Jewelry, Candles and one Small dog" - While their dog, Max may not be for sale, he is often there as well as Hana and William, the owners showcasing their custom brand of handmade jewelry, art and candles. They also feature a collection artists and craftspeople they believe in. In a portion of the store, one can spy how some of their product is made. The store is light, airy, and right in the center of Old Town Lafayette, on Public road, just north of Chester. Open Tuesday thru Sunday, stop on by to treat yourself.
