Wish I could say I was able to shop in this store, but at 11:30, they still weren’t open and my parking was out. Not sure what was going on, but there was no sign on the door and everything online says they open at 11a. If it’s like the Denver location then I am sure it is great.

Great selection of used equipment and clothing, and they have a shared spreadsheet of what they're currently purchasing, which is super helpful. Friendly staff and good selection of new equipment, too: I've stopped by to get things like camping pads, gas canisters, and bags when I needed them at the last minute.

Perfect selection of well priced outdoors gear and clothing! I found an awesome Eddie Bauer light jacket with fleece lining and a cool shell for $18. I have visited their Denver location as well and they have a good selection year round!

If you're looking for a variety of well-priced, quality used gear and apparel, you'll be hard-pressed to do much better than this place. Clean (which is so unusual in the thrift/preowned world) space and clothing, picked up ski pants on one visit and a quarter zip in another. Super friendly and helpful staff, too. Will definitely be back.

Best used gear shop in Idaho Springs! Great selection of cheap camping equipment, rental gear and always a friendly face to help find a great deal.

Service was nice and friendly. My friend bought a shirt and it was for a decent price! It was a bigger building with a “used” section which looked to be all nice and up kept things!

Feral is the best used/consignment store I have found in the Denver area. All the employees are very knowledgable about the equipment they sell. Claire at the Idaho Springs location is especially friendly and helpful!

Amazing store! Wonderful customer service. I'm not an outdoorsy kinda person and normally I would feel intimidated going into an outdoor store. From the moment walking in being greeted to explaining to the gentleman what I needed. His was friendly and knowledgeable , also recommending some local activities. I walk knowing nothing about outdoor gear now after todays visit I feel like a pro. I definitely need to come back to get completely outfitted. The sales gentleman name was Cal . 5 plus stars thanks

We stopped on our way up to grab some gear we forgot. This place turned out to be a little gold mine. Hands down the best selection of used and discounted gear. Definitely stopping every time I pass through town.

Great spot for used camping gear and clothing. Picked up a sweet rain jacket and down coat. Noticed they already had a ton of ski clothing in so I’ll be back to pick up some pants when I come up to ski. Great spot!

Stopped by the Denver store last week and they told me that they had a smaller location in Idaho Springs. Had to stop by and check it out on my way up to the mountains. Really great used gear and clothing section. Picked up some used jackets at the Denver shop, but found some nice used ski clothing and a pair of used ski boots at this location. It's smaller than there Denver location, but they really pack the stuff in and offer a really great selection. Chatted with the owner for a bit and he spent 20 minutes talking me through all of the dispersed camping spots nearby. Didn't spare any detail. Really grateful for the help. Check them out!

I'm going to share a little story for you all. My wife and I, along with two friends decide to go backpacking near Idaho Springs. We called feral ahead of time to ask a few questions and confirm products. Answered all my questions. When we get to Idaho Springs we picked up everything we needed. Prices were the same as Wal-Mart for new and used was awesome deals. After night 1 we realized we needed more covers. They helped out again. At the end of our trip we sold much of it back plus other things for some weed money. We decided to sell our checked bag worth of things. Upon doing this we forgot our knifes would need to be checked. One of our knifes had taken many trips with us and had sentimental value. We tried the post office and trust me, don't count on sending something. Its more like a post holding point. Anyways. We decided to ask Heather (who helped us everyday) at feral to pick an awesome group to give it to. Heather one uped us and offered to mail it. Offered to pay for it. I however coughed up $10 of the weed money and left the knife. 7 days later today it was here. Thanks Heather. You were awesome and the store rocks! Peace and love

Stopped in to say hi to the shop dog, and ended up raiding the used clothing section. Left with some really cheap ski clothing for the upcoming season and bought a few used jackets that will come in handy while we're camping. Crazy deals. Great shop. Love how Idaho Springs closed down the street to cars too. Check these guys out!
