I tend to not leave reviews unless I am super impressed or super unimpressed. Well, here is my experience with A-OK. My Mazda Miata needed a rear differential. I took it to Macdonald Mazda in Golden. They gave me a quote of $4000 to replace the rear diff for LABOR ONLY. No quote on what the part would be. I got a second opinion from A-OK. I told him I would track down the part and then they said they would install it for $1200. Well, this sounded a lot better than the dealer. I ordered the part, it finally arrived and I took the car and the part to their shop. Two days later, they called to say it was ready. I went to pick it up and, no kidding, the final bill was $488.00. The car is back to awesome condition now. Honesty? Integrity? Quality Service? Satisfaction? Yep, they can all be found at A-OK!

We have been loyal costumers to them for 2-3 years. It started when one of our cars had a clutch go out and they fixed it, the catalytic converter got stolen in the process but other than that, it ran fine. The starter started to go out so we took it to them and the said it was a loose connection, we take it to them a little later and the starter did go out. Later, there was a knocking on the passenger side, they just said, it was ware and we should be fine, we take it in again and the front axel needs to be replaced. Now, a couple days later, it is broken down again. They tried ripping off a loyal costumer and they have lost one.Services: Exhaust

These guys were amazing! We had an issue with our bus and they were super helpful and looked at the car right away. They helped us problem solve and were nice and honest. Wish we lived closer so we could use them for all of our car needs. Alex and Skip are fantastic, highly recommend.

John saved my butt. Our water pump blew coming into Idaho Springs late afternoon on a Thursday and called me at 8:30 am the next morning, and my wife and I were on the road. Met several very nice people in Idaho Springs.

tldr: If you want great service from mechanics who know their stuff and are in this business to fix cars (and not, say, to scam customers), go here. Also, they're brilliant with older vehicles. Details: I've gone to A Ok Auto Clinic twice, and both experiences have been fantastic. The first time, after a long day of hiking, I discovered that my car wouldn't shift out of first gear. At all. I managed to limp it down to Georgetown and got it towed the rest of the way. A mechanic friend said it was probably a busted transmission. When I called A Ok, they said the same thing, though they'd need to look to be sure. I left, dreading the call I'd be getting and trying to decide whether it was worth keeping the car. Then they called. Transmission was fine. Clutch cables had jammed due to rust. They'd cleaned them, lubed them up, and everything was working again. Cost - for the assessment and fix? $50. (This was several years ago, but still!) So a few months ago when I was in CO and had a car issue, I went back. This time I'd noticed some decrease in the performance of my AC, and I was about to drive 1000 miles back across the US in the middle of a heat wave. John was fantastic - he was able to work the car in before I left, check over the AC, and also evaluate a check engine light which I was concerned meant a busted catalytic converter. He confirmed my fears on the light but did shut it off to see if it would come back. As for the AC, he flushed the system, cleaned out some gunk in the condenser, and showed me where some fins had been bent, so it wasn't performing as well as it used to - but he got it working quite well without having to actually replace the condenser. His take on it was, "This is a 20+-year-old car; the last thing you want to do is pay for a repair you don't really need. If the AC starts having problems again, then consider replacing it, but I don't think you'll need to." Again, prices were very reasonable. The AC is still running great, as is the car. And that check engine light never came back, so I don't need to worry about the catalytic converter for some time to come. Given their current cost, that's a huge relief - thanks, John. I no longer live in CO, but I travel there frequently, and from now on, this is the shop I'll go to when I'm out there.

Solid service. Friendly. My vehicle overheated on I-70. Fearing the worst I had it towed to A Ok. Turns out the radiator cap had failed. John was nice and helpful. Had my vehicle up and running and told me what to look for to avoid future issues.

John and Logan got my truck in right away and fixed it a lot faster than I was anticipating, and for a fair price. Battery light was off and on the past few weeks, so I took it (under warranty) to Autozone for a check, and they said the alternator and battery were fine. I went ahead and upgraded to a cold weather battery, and on the way home on I-70, the battery light came on again: The alternator was indeed bad. Glad to have this place so close to home in the mountains.Service: Oil change

Broke down on 70 near Georgetown and got towed here. They did a clutch replacement for a pretty good price, definitely less than I have had them at other places, so I don't feel like they took advantage of the situation and they did good work. I'd Recommend them to anyone up in Clear Creek or Summit Counties.

Our car broke down near here, and a local resident recommended A-OK Auto Clinic - I'm so glad, because the service was excellent. They quickly and knowledgeably diagnosed the problem (alternator was shot), and they had our car up and running within several hours for a good cost. Thanks again to these folks! I appreciated their honest, no-nonsense approach, and they were very helpful.
