I want to Thank the efficient postal clerks at Hotchkiss, Colorado USPS office. On Bridge St.
I dropped a box while passing through without much thought but it was a UPS box not USPS. When the vacation was over I realized my error but they had made sure UPS got the box and it was well on its way. Thank you for helping out what could have been a costly mistake. That is small town kindness and I love it.

I live on a highway and the post office carrier dropped my package next to the highway instead of next to my fence. I do have a large dog so I went to the post office and asked that the carrier leave a postal card in my box and I would pick the packages up from the post office from now on. My dog is a guard dag and doing his job and I don't want my carrier to feel threatened. Today my carrier dropped off 2 packages instead of taking it to the post office. My carrier left a note in my mail box and I quote, " I put the parcel against the gate. Dogs were growling and barking. May the wind blow. I found my packages across the highway in the ditch and the wind was NOT blowing. This is not the first time I have had problems with the mail man. And I know many other people with issues.

Lol wow what a sorry excuse of a buisness this is here in Hotchkiss. I come to Hotchkiss about once a week to collect packages that the mail carrier won't deliver to the house, so sometimes there are 3 and sometimes 20. It takes more time to write out all of those pink slips then it would to just come to the house. Also when I arrive to retrieve the packages the personnel act as if it's so hard to go around the corner and get my items. I don't care how big, heavy or how many packages I have sitting there it's your job you signed up for it if you don't like it get with the carrier don't give me attitude. I will love when this facility goes under and gets abolished to put some of these folks out of their misery. Not all usps associates are sour it just seems more are than not. It's a choice to work there.

The new postmaster here is horrible. Doesn't listen to customer feedback very well = 1 star.Side note: Dusty is awesome and I recommend going through her. She listens and is very helpful. 4 stars for her.

The staff are excellent at their jobs and are courteous and helpful. But they have always behaved as if the pandemic doesn’t exist. For a short period last winter, there were a few measures taken to protect the public and themselves, but those have been removed or stopped. This is at a time (December 2021) when the Covid-19 transmission rate is high here, and the hospital’s ICU has recently been as much as 90% full.

Miss the old caring staff that would continue to provide good service and support. Current staff very unfriendly. Had a most unpleasant experience trying to locate my daughters present/package. Services at this post office has dramatically declined :(

The people are so friendly! But overall, usps system is jacked. If I lived in a different county I would still come here for my shipping needs. Any questions I asked were resloved immediately. Such a wonderful staff!
