Susan was able to see my dog the same day I needed to come in which saved me a trip to the ER and she took very good care of my little chihuahua Mia. She's feeling better and we have her on a weight loss plan now.

Dr Raymond is a great diagnostician, healer and a pleasure to know. Assisted by Justine, they work beautifully together. I am so glad to find the Animal Doctor!

Susan saved our male cat's life. He had a stone in his bladder which removed during surgery. We trust her and have brought our 2 cats to her for 5 years.

People don't ever answer the dang phone on top of it asked for a quote one day to see my dog for a ear infection and was never called back to set up an appointment after leaving multiple call back voice mails very unprofessional.. maybe they are out of business? :/

My sweet little Scout a 12 week old Shih Tzu started acting uncomfortable and coughing. We realized he had ingested a Woolley Bear Caterpillar earlier in the day. Susan was wonderful! She had us bring Scout right in even though it was after hours. Susan was so helpful and our Scout is on the mend this morning. I am so grateful for Hotchkiss having such a caring and knowledgeable Veterinarian . I will be bringing both of my furry babies to her Animal Hospital for any future concerns. ?

She is very nice & informative. I have a new puppy & of course some worries. She eased my mind & gave honest opinions instead of sugar coating. Thank you Dr. Susan!

I picked this vet at random because it was the closest one to my house and was pleasantly surprised. She came off as if she genuinely cared about my elderly dog's well being, was completely focused on him/making sure he had everything he needed (even past what we had come in for), and took ample time to make sure it was all done right and my questions were answered. There was no talking to a vet tech and then talking to the veterinarian. There was no dog being taken to another room & waiting for test results. We just did everything together as a team until the appointment was over and we were out the door.

I've worked with Susan Raymond for almost seven years now, and she is one of the best vets I've ever had for my four leggeds.

During our first visit, she literally shouted at me for not recognizing the visual signs of a certain mouth ailment in my dog, which her tone of voice made sound quite serious -- then later stated that she did not know the name of the ailment -- "but they talk about cancer" -- and sold me a $16 bottle of dog mouth-cleanser for it. She spent a lot of the brief exam time specifically criticizing other local veterinarians, and then recommended a blood test for $200 which turned out to be unnecessary. I showed the vet the supplement I had been giving my dog and she looked at it and said, "This isn't good -- look, the first ingredient is glycerine, which is sugar." This is just plainly incorrect; glycerine is not sugar or any form of sugar. During a phone call when I asked about obtaining medications for my dog's painful joint condition from a less expensive source, she gave a long speech on "corporations ruining everything for local people". When I asked her to confirm that her answer was "no" to writing a prescription so that I could save some money, she became angry, said (verbatim), "I'd say find another vet!" and literally hung up the phone. I stand by all of the above as factually accurate. I told her I would not be needing her services any longer.

Clean and friendly place. Lovely vet and her assistant. I felt taken care of and comfortable, so did my pup. I don't use vets regularly, though when I do we will come back here. Had alot of good information to take away. Thank you
