There were so many things I was willing to overlook, until I saw my car after they installed a hitch. I brought in a BRAND NEW Tesla for a hitch install, with zero damage and interior in show room condition. What I got back was...Scratches ALL OVER my rear bumper, to the point it has to be completely repainted. More scratches on the deck lid and quarter panel. The bumper is also completely off alignment and has significant panel gapping that hadn't been there before. The interior was left incredibly dirty, including something that sprayed my head liner in the back seat.I let the manager know about all of this, and he responded snippily that it was his day off and then instructed me to file a claim with their insurance. Talk about being treated like you're the problem after your facility caused thousands in damage to a brand new vehicle. I'm a pretty friendly and patient guy, as well - and as upset as I am about this - kept my composure.

I rent from this place like once a month. The staff are nice and the prices are good but there needs to be more attention to the vehicles. I have picked up vehicles needing air in tires, no wiper fluid, no ice scraper in winter, and so dirty that it was impossible to manuever around without getting grime on your clothing. These needs should be attended to as a matter of course. I have brought these various concerns up and sometimes they are handled, otherwise not. The owner told me he has 65 vehicles so apparently it is too expensive to go to Walmart or the dollar store to pick up scrapers which of course he can write off as a business expense. If you can't afford something as minimal as this, you might need to rethink your business model.

Gave me a busted up truck with a check engine light coming on just as I got on the highway, I had to return just after starting to drive it. Got the new uhaul and trailer. The guys directed me to pull my vehicle up on the trailer and had me pull so far forward that the trailer rim punctured the underside of my car and has caused immediate leaking to occur. We couldn't get it off the uhaul without resorting to jacking it up over the trailer pieces puncturing it. Avoid this location at all costs, otherwise it'll cost you.

There is a great reason this place has such a poor rating and bad reviews. The customer service could use some serious help. Especially one time where the trailer they tried renting me was flat. I said I would not drive that trailer. He told me well you have to go back inside then and get a new contract. Zero customer service. I had a couple good experiences but way more bad than good. Rented a 5x8 trailer the other day and the hub blew out on the highway and burned up. The uhaul repair guy came to try and fix it and said to me your lucky you didn't lose that trailer and get seriously injured. Choose wisely if you want to rent from this place. I would highly recommend avoiding it at all cost.

I was very surprised at how unhappy the employees were at UHaul in Highlands Ranch. I've used this location for almost 25 years and even though the location is convenient, I will try to use another location or moving provider in the future. The employees were so busy bad mouthing and complaining about other employees, that I seemed to be a bother to their morning, rather than one of the reasons they have a job. I hope they all have better days. I would suggest to management that they look into why their staff is so unhappy. The only person that was friendly was the woman painting the entrance door. The cashier never even looked me in the eye, greeted me, or said anything other than her script. Thanks for making my stressful move a joy to start.

Do not use the mobile app to check in it takes forever. Go inside the location and the gentlemen in there will get you going fast and are super friendly.

Had no issues completing my transaction. However; some of the rudest customer service I’ve encountered. Both over the phone and in person. (We get it, work sucks) They’re learning a new system and the woman working (Laurie?) has absolutely no problem solving skills & i can’t believe how impatient and rude she was to the woman in front of me (who was being extremely sweet mannered) How hard is it to watch your mouth & speak kindly to people? If you can’t handle simple customer service, maybe this isn’t the job for you. To be honest - unfortunately - every person I’ve dealt with while using uhaul seems like they hate their lives. Bit of advice, life will be a lot easier if you have a bit of patience and positivity. don’t project your anger that you have toward your company, at your customers.

I would definitely recommend only renting a truck when the facility is open. The day shift doesn’t seem to care if there’s no key in your truck when you do a mobile pick up . They apparently are having a hard time getting people on the day shift that care about their quality of work. Thank god for Laura!!!!!!! Such a hard worker ,!!!

I've actually had a pretty easy time renting trucks here. However, I had them installed a hitch and four-way flat connector on my van. First, they didn't give me the ball and adapter that I ordered so I had to get that refunded. Then I found out, after a trip, that they had wired the blinkers backwards. So during the whole trip when I was blinking left it was actually signaling right. I went back to get it fixed and they just kept giving me the runaround. Really disappointed with their hitch install service. How can you not check that before you give it back to the customer? Oh, and they let us sit there and never told us it was done. We had to go in and check after 2 hours.

First, I would fire Franklin!!! I have never been at a more disrespectful establishment. He was not only rude on the phone when the elevator had been down for weeks, we went in to finally load our boxes (the elevator was FINALLY working) and unbeknownst to me at the time; we encountered Franklin in person. He sadly was even more rude and disrespectful in person. I have rented storage, trucks and trailers for many years from U-Haul. I have NEVER been to a more disrespectful U-Haul. I would definitely pick another U-Haul!

Besides the person when I returned the equipment, everything else was less than desirable. The person who checked me in was outright rude. She was not helpful or knowledgeable about the rental or the check in. The equipment was in terrible shape. The tires were bald and need replacement badly. Overall the equipment I’ve rented at Uhaul has not been maintained and I’d have to recommend renting from somewhere they value their equipment.

I had to file a complaint regarding the truck and auto transport rental at this location. I’ve used Uhaul for years in years with very pleasant experiences. However, this was by far the worst and this location showed very little interest in making sure we were prepared for a longer cross country trip.. The truck was not checked out prior to rental, had no trailer lights so I had to swap that for another truck that was given to us with no working windshield washer, fluid, and wipers were very poor. The auto transport that was given to us was sent out with two ball tires, and a rim that was not meant for that trailer, resulting in a massive blowout on the highway in remote, Texas in the middle of the night, which could’ve caused a disastrous accident. I expect a call from the general manager regarding this experience and the complaint I filed on 8/6/23 and will be calling back to follow up ASAP.

Took over a week just to get my car in, then was told getting the hitch would take 4-5 hours. Not 10. Not till after the store was closed. Not till after I called and was told it would be ready in a hour, when in reality it took 2 1/2 more. Please conduct your business better. Tell people the truth when asked when service will be done. And with customer service, don't be condescending and ask customers if this is their first wiring job or if it's their first car. I'm a 46 year old grown ass woman. Rap music blaring in the background, other customers complaining about missing parts...this place is shady and not staffed properly. Be warned.

Already gave a yelp review but also wanted to leave my review here so other don’t make the same mistake I did .If you're going to rent any vehicle from this location make sure you take pictures of the odometer before and after you drop it off , especially if it's after hours drop off cause they overcharged me over 200$ , for something I didn't go more than 50 miles in . Charged for me nearly 200 miles instead . Tried calling them and manager Jake said he'd resolve the issue and issue a refund to the card used . No refund was issued and every time we call "he's never in" "but we can take down your information and he will call you back!" , yeah we had 3 different people tell us that too . I just took the loss on the money and I'll make sure i go somewhere differently for vehicle rental services like this uhaul location. And don't forget to take picture of the odometer cause you'll regret if you don't. My biggest issue with this location was the lack of customer service , I truly believe they had no intentions in resolving the issue and were okay with overcharging me the amount the did , but I hope they feel great about screwing over a young couple with a newborn baby, who needs all they money they got for the newborn. Please don’t shop here, they don’t deserve your hard earned money .
