Chris is a great trainer. I wanted to get in the best shape that I could for my wedding and he taught me things that I not only did to get ready for my wedding but still do to this day. He worked with me on my nutrition as well as pushed me hard in the gym to help me reach my fitness goals. He is very personable and knowledgeable and I would definitely recommend him for anyone wanting to change their routine for the better.

I have used Chris's personal training services for over a year now, and I have been thoroughly impressed. Every session is unique as he brings an interesting variety of exercises to match my personal fitness goal. He has a holistic approach to fitness which includes a wealth of advice and information ranging from diet and nutrition to human physiology. He truly has a passion for personal fitness and also keeps up with the latest research in health and fitness. Some things that have impressed me are his attention to detail with proper form and technique. Also, unlike some trainers out there, he gives me 100% of his attention during training sessions and he takes the time to answer all my questions with as much detail as I would like. I started working with Chris at Empowered Performance Strength and Conditioning after I had started my weight loss journey but had not yet met my goals. He provided me with guidance for my workouts as well as pushing me to be accountable during our sessions and when not in our sessions. He reviewed and improved my diet to help with additional fat loss. He managed around my nagging muscle pains - from elbows and shoulders to hip flexors. Chris has helped me get to a weight I haven't seen in decades but even better I am stronger and healthier than I have been in years. Chris is a very engaged, responsive trainer, and has always been motivational and informative to me in making sure we meet my goals, all while keeping workouts challenging yet functional. I started with Chris in January 2016. In March, little did Chris know, he was going to have his work cut out for him as I definitely added some challenges to our workouts. Chris is a very kind and caring person. His passion and knowledge for health and fitness are inspiring. I can't imagine going through my hurdles without Chris pushing and supporting me during each workout. Chris watches every squat, every lunge, every shoulder press, every crunch, etc. to make sure I am working the correct muscles and my form is perfect to avoid injury. Before every workout, he asks how I'm feeling and how's my eating. Chris has also helped me with nutrition and workouts outside the gym, making changes in diet where we see necessary. His patience and positive attitude have kept me motivated and wanting more out of my workouts. Working out with Chris has been amazing, rewarding and above all a life changer. Thank you Chris.

I've been working with Chris Smith for 3 years and consider it a pleasure to have him as my trainer. Chris has patiently worked with me to help me achieve the best health and shape of my life. Before working with Chris I was prone to injuries - specifically achy knees and sciatica - and I was not tone even though I was working out 7 days a week. Simply stated, Chris is awesome! I never thought I would ever work with a trainer, but after training with Chris I am hooked. Chris is knowledgeable and very attentive to my individual fitness capabilities and goes above and beyond to ensure an effective challenging, and injury-free work out. Chris puts thought into each session and the exercises never feel like a chore. I leave the gym feeling accomplished and proud of the progress I've made. After a long history of poor nutrition and skewed ideas of "proper" exercise, Chris has helped me focus on eating to fuel my body and maximize results all while utilizing and increasing strength I didn't know I had, nor thought I could ever achieve. Chris pushes me to work hard and never makes me feel weak if I can't complete a rep. He's encouraging, personable, and truly cares to help people reach their goals. After six surgeries I was convinced that I would struggle with feeling weak (emotionally and physically) for the rest of my life. But Chris changed that in just a few months. Now I hike, bike, paddleboard and lift almost every day. I'm never bored since Chris is a master of coming up with creative and challenging workouts. My energy level is up, my nutrition is better, and most importantly - I am STRONG!
