Overall the staff were nice, however after the training program, my pup was retuned to me with a bit more advanced training than what he had going in with. I was expecting something more like DIYK9 Dog Training. Looking back, think something like PetSmart would have worked. With both of the programs, most of the training is left up to you.

American Canine Academy has completely changed my relationship with my dog. I desperately needed help with my 3 year old German Shepherd full of energy and who was rather out of control. We enrolled in the off leash program and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the pup we got back! It was definitely hard being away from him for so long but worth every bit of it. We go for walks with and without a leash now with no issue. He’s calmer and more disciplined but still the happy boy we love! I couldn’t be more thankful for the ACA team and I look forward to going back for classes and refreshers.Prior to working with the team, I couldn’t take him for walks or hikes without completely dreading it. He would drag me all over the place. I had a hard time managing his energy and would have difficulty with him chasing the cat, barking uncontrollably at other dogs and people, etc. He has been FANTASTIC since graduating. He’s so much calmer and well-mannered. I actually look forward to taking him places and getting him out.

I just had my German Shepard puppy Stormi trained at American Canine Academy. I am so satisfied with the difference the training has made in my Stormi, the main reason is she would not stop chasing my kitty and I was forever yelling at her which I did not like! Now she will more than not respond to my command to stop her behavior chasing kitty. That is one example there are many now that she is trained. The Academy would not send Stormi home until they were comfortable that she was going to respond to her commands which was hard but appreciated. Jazmine and team was very kind and loving to my dog! I am very satisfied with American Canine Academy! They also will continue with any training we need to work on for life with no extra charges! That is pretty darn amazing! Weekly report cards with videos helped tremendously! Thank you to you all for amazing work!

I cannot say enough good things about American Canine Academy and their staff! I am beyond grateful for all they have done for us. ACA staff are incredibly kind, supportive, and knowledgeable. ACA has always gone above and beyond with their care and their support for Bailey and I. There were many times I was in tears, feeling overwhelmed, and didn’t know what to do. ACA gave me the tools so Bailey and I are able to work through those tough moments. The knowledge I got from ACA is invaluable and I would do it all over again. ACA changed both of our lives for the better. Thanks to ACA, I can enjoy walks with Bailey, take her on patios, enjoy being in my home and backyard, and feel confident when having her off leash. I would highly recommend ACA to anyone who needs some extra support with their dogs. There isn’t anyone else that I would trust with the care of my dogs.

The team at American Canine Academy changed our life with our dog! They taught her the basics and taught us how to work with her. They provide continuous support and the relationship with our Australian Shepherd is better than ever! I am so grateful for everything they have done for us! She is a completely different dog!

I cannot say enough good things about American Canine Academy. I have a senior dog who has been going there for boarding for nearly 6 years and she is always so loved and taken care of - no matter what is going on in our lives. I now also have a very young puppy who's been through immersion training program and the difference since her graduation is spectacular (it feels like she and I now have a shared language, finally). The program, communication style, how attentive and dedicated the whole team is to the needs of the dogs (and their occasionally anxious owners who also want to do a good job) is really amazing. There's no place I trust more with my dogs, and it's because of the people. Thank you ??

American Canine Academy has, no doubt, changed my (and my dog's) life - putting my dog, Pippin, in the advanced immersion training program was the best decision I've ever made for her, and for myself. Pippin is a sweet, but difficult, rescued hound mix from Texas. Before working with Sean and Jasmine, Pippin was hyperactive, inattentive, and difficult to train and communicate with. While loving and smart, she has a stubborn personality and definitely knows how to push boundaries. I used to say she was a "good girl, bad dog." Multiple trainers with various methods were unsuccessful for Pippin in the past; I believed I had an "un-trainable" dog, but ACA proved otherwise.I signed her up for the advanced immersion training program after our consultation with Jasmine, who has been incredibly friendly, communicative, invested, and professional from the start. Throughout the program, I received weekly report cards, which included videos of her training and updates on her progress. Toward the end of the program, it was determined that Pippin would need a few extra weeks to ensure her success and fine-tune her learned skills. Jasmine continued Pippin's training (at no extra cost) until she was ready, giving Pippin the extra care and attention she needed to succeed. It is clear that Jasmine, Sean, and the entire team at ACA are dedicated to going the extra mile to make sure each and every dog not only learns, but maintains, the skills they learn at American Canine Academy.After her training, Pippin came home as a totally different dog - she is now calm, attentive, and easy to communicate with. She listens to commands and is well-behaved both at home and in public. She walks politely on-leash and remains focused off-leash so I no longer worry about her chasing after a squirrel, rabbit, or prairie dog. To say that Jasmine and Sean changed our lives is an understatement - we wouldn't be able to do a fraction of things we can today without their effort and follow-through. Busy public areas with lots of other dogs, and activities like off-leash walks, hikes, and runs, mountain biking, splitboarding, paddleboarding, swimming, camping, backpacking, long-distance travel, etc. are no longer spent worrying about how Pippin might react or behave. ACA will not only give you an obedient dog, they will give you a dependable companion.Following Pippin's completion of the advanced immersion training program, Jasmine made sure that myself and all other household members understood Pippin's training, commands, and boundaries. As part of their Lifetime Guarantee, ACA offers free group classes every Saturday to practice skills and obedience in a variety of settings. In addition, should any follow-up questions or issues arise, Jasmine is happy to work with us one-on-one at no cost. I'll never use another training staff or boarding location. The first dog I took here was a hybrid German shepherd. He was heart but he was also very strong headed. They took him in and taught him to listen in no time. Fast forward a few years and now I've got a GSD/Aussie mix. They took the same loving and professional approach to teaching her. Also, use them for boarding several times a year and never had an issue. 100% recommend!

American Canine Academy has helped immensely with our mastiff Callisto. She started off scared, aggressive and lacked confidence and has become a much nicer, happier, confident dog with their help and training. The immersion training was instrumental and the ongoing walks and meet ups keep us all accountable. I couldn't recommend ACA more and plan on using them for all of our dogs!

The process from start to finish has been amazing. Great communication from American Canine as they send weekly video/report card updates. We have a very stubborn puppy Rotty, and now we can walk her without a leash and listens to every command. It's a night and day transformation in our dog for the better. They also broke her of some bad behaviors too, like being overprotective of her toys which is huge because we have a toddler. 100% will use them moving forward. Also, icing on the cake is if you have your dog trained here, you can also kennel your dog here when needed and they do brush up training while kenneled! 10 out of 10 recommended! Expensive like any dog training but 100% worth the results!

We have a 2 year old husky that, as expected with this breed, can be a little stubborn when it comes to training. We looked around and decided to take a chance on the Advanced Immersion Package they provided. The initial consultation was very thorough and the took the time to really understand his behaviors and discuss the details of the program. Once he was dropped off, we received weekly updates and report cards on his progress with lots of details and the next steps they were focusing on. The send-home class at the end was once again very thorough, discussing expectations and what we needed to do to follow through with his training as well as a session to actively go over all the commands with our husky. Follow-up sessions and group sessions were also made available to us. The training has made a world of difference in our doggy's behavior. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to have their fur baby trained. I have been truly impressed with the results they provided, especially with a breed known for it's cleverness and natural chaos.

ACA is a wonderful place! The staff are professional and courteous. The positive change in our dog Charlie has been truly a sight to behold. He is so much better behaved now, after the immersion program. Worth every penny. We were close to having to get rid of him, now not the case. Thank you American Canine Academy!!

We are currently working with Jazmyn and are very happy with her expertise. She is great at helping us understand how to work with our dogs. Our dogs have not done very well with other trainers but with her they know they have to behave and listen to her. She has a special way with them. I would HIGHLY recommend them
