Charming roadside giftshop on CO24 heading towards Buena Vista. They serve coffee and ice cream too. The owner is really nice.

Cute place! Latte experience wasn't a real "third wave" experience unfortunately (they have an espresso machine, but don't expect an expertly pulled shot and latte art), but enjoyed looking around in an interesting spot in a small town. I doubt you can find better coffee in the area, and hopefully they improve in this aspect in the future.

I stopped here 5yrs ago. I bought a righ with an eye on it. It was $75 cash. It was too big they said they would resize and even measured my finger, they asked for my address and i never received anything. The place is beautiful and I was more than happy to purchase something, i was just sad they did not uphold their end of the bargain.

The Bayou Salado Trading Post is a fantastic family owned business in the heart of Hartsel with an appreciable array of treasures, from gems & minerals and native American Indian crafts, to delicious lattes and locally made ice cream, I highly recommend the black cherry! They also have grass fed beef, fresh eggs and a blue barite claim you can dig at for a small fee, lots of fun for the family and interesting history there. During the Palisades peach season, vendors set up on the edge of the road in front of the trading post and sell Colorado's famous Palisade peaches and local honey. The Hartsel wildflower honey we picked up is "extra white" in color and sweeter than most. We just love everything about this place and the owners are the nicest people around. Anytime we drive out this way, it's become a tradition to stop. Totally worth it!

My Husband and I stopped here for the first time in 4 years and were pleasantly surprised! Lady Lark makes Amazing Expresso & Exquisite European Cream Soda!!! Not to mention so many incredible & unique items, some fashioned by Dave (a talented silver smith!) for gifts or oneself. My purchase was a Southwestern silver and Turquoise Bear paw Barrett for my collection. ~♡~ Thank you for a memorable experience Harvey!

This place is great. We did the barite mining. Wish we had time to go back for coffee and ice cream. The owners were so sweet and helpful. While we were there a lady came in complaining about their coffee setup and asked where the nearest Starbucks was!!!! The owner was so gracious to her. I for one appreciate the small town, mom and pop shops. Hope people treat them well!

Nice folks, good ice cream (large portions for the price), and a little bit of everything else. Recommended.

Such a tiny store with well organized space. The espresso is delicious as is the ice cream. I love the cut loose and polished local stones, and the handmade jewelry. There is a lot of interesting historical books and memorabilia too. What's not to love?!

We stopped for coffee last July and the espresso drinks were so good. The owner was extremely friendly and we had a good chat about things to do in the area. I fell in love with one of the aspen vases for sale. The owner told us all about the artist and how his experience in car repairs helped him make the smoothest aspen vases. We bought a small aspen vase and it looks so elegant and a real piece of Colorado! We will definitely stop by again.
