Gunnison is so lucky to have this organization. They are very empathetic to both animals and humans. The adoption process is very smooth and $150 for a neutered/spayed, fully vaccinated dog is an incredible deal. Every adopted pet has a different personality and history, and I recommend following them on Facebook for updates on their available pets till you see the right fit for you, but we were so lucky to have adopted a well-socialized, potty-trained lab mix from them.

The staff and animals,at the animal shelter are wonderful. The building is quaint but definitely works very well for it's perpose its clean and well kept. The animals get great individual attention and help as the shelter cares very deeply for their well-being.

So grateful for their service. My friend lost his dog and we were searching for days before contacting GVAWL. They were so kind. I could tell the dog enjoyed his time with the ladies there. Thank you for all you do.

I have been so anxious to get my shihtzu dog fixed and couldn’t believe the outrages pricing in my area. After being told about this place by a friend, I called and they got me in within a couple weeks. Which is awesome because most vets in my area were booked months in advance. I dropped him off early in the morning, and picked him up the following morning. I was so glad it went good! They staff is super friendly as well. Pricing was way more reasonable than other vets in my area. Totally worth the hour drive!! I will be back with all animals in the future!!!

Sue is a very nice and caring person and was very accommodating for us having come so far. We decided to take Chip home with us and could not be happier. He’s a wonderful dog and they took care of him very well. Glad that we could give him his forever home.
