“Nobody ever wants to be at the emergency vet, but I can honestly say this experience was downright PLEASANT!? They cared about my pup soooo much, and cared about me too! Letting me be near him, petting him, giving me water… I felt as much a patient as he was!The highlight for me is that my old man for some reason loved the corner office room. He beelined right towards Megan every time he got the chance. When it was time to give him pain meds and steroids, they let him stand on the floor with Megan and got down on hands and knees so that he would be the most comfortable while getting his treatment. Every single person was so wonderful. I can’t say enough good things about VEG and everyone at the edgewater location.I also am already getting follow ups to make sure he is doing well and feeling okay. I swear, if I ever get sick or break a bone, I think I’m going to VEG instead of an urgent care meant for humans. THANK YOU TEAM!! :)”

I felt so confident in their care when they spayed my 1.5 year newly adopted pug this month. I've had only the best of experiences with her and her staff, specifically to call out Jennifer and Hannah as well. They're caring and helpful and always answer my millions of questions. Dr. Sharkey is kind, genuine, and caring to our pets, gives full explanation of lab results and any follow-up/monitoring needed. She spends time answering questions and follows-up if anything is needed outside of what's discussed during exams. I would recommend anyone bring their pets here! “Had a fabulous experience here. Exactly the kind of personalized care I’ve wanted for my kitties. The entire staff is amazing and you can tell how well they work together. They use the fear free approach which is wonderful for kitties. Both the tech and vet got down on my kitties level and held out their hand and called her name, gave her some scratches before picking her up and getting in her space. Something I think is so important for cats.They also have a heating pad on the table, toys and treats. Also love that both times I’ve been there we were the only ones so no overbooking like Ive experienced at other practices. The only thing I’m not over the moon about is the fact you’re restricted to using their pharmacy which is a bit pricier, I like having choices so I can choose the lowest price especially having multiple pets with health issues.Otherwise highly recommend this practice.”

Our vet has knowledge about both sighthounds and raw diets, which can sometimes be tricky, but she's always on top of things.
