Our vet has knowledge about both sighthounds and raw diets, which can sometimes be tricky, but she's always on top of things. “If you're in an emergency right now, don't think twice--go to VEG. My dog was so sick at 2am. I called VEG because they were so close. They advised me to bring him in. I'm so glad I did. We were there for 15 hours, saw 3 staff changes, and everything was seamless. Everything is above and beyond at VEG. My dog was getting sick from both ends, and once even in my lap. The staff immediately cleaned everything up, showed me their shower and gave me a pair of scrubs to change into. I came out while they were cleaning up my pup and they offered to machine wash my shorts! They checked on my dog AND me multiple times--offering me water and snacks, a break, and a chair to sit in the kennel with my dog. They even got my dog a pillow for a head rest. VEG is open concept, which means you can usually stay with your pet as much as you want. My high anxiety dog was so grateful. I was legitimately working from my laptop, in their dog kennel, with my pup laying in my lap. All while he was getting great care. Everything is very collaborative at VEG. They offer recommendations, alternative options, and really considered my input on what I thought was the best care for my dog. And listen, any emergency care is expensive. Get the pet insurance now. Don't wait. VEG's prices seem very comparable with other emergency care. The staff genuinely cares about your pet's wellbeing so much. I watched them interact with so many owners and pets. Always met with compassion, never judgement. Even in situations that were very challenging, they were taking an educational approach vs shaming. And their care is so comprehensive--immediate action to relieve pain, intermediate steps to build up strength, and longer term preventatives. Thank you, VEG!! Dakota is already doing so much better. I hope we don't have to visit you again, but I am so relieved to know we have an incredible emergency vet so close by.”

“This is without question the best vet I have ever been too. I have seen 3 vets with 2 dogs here. Dr Andy is so kind and compassionate I can’t even put it into words. My 14 year old Yorkie is a very complicated case and Dr Andy took so much time and patience to hear us out and come up with an action plan my wife and I were blown away. My dachshund has seen Dr Llewy and Dr Jeannie both multiple times and they are both outstanding. I will never go anywhere else”

“I cannot say enough about how professional and caring Rising Sun Animal Care Center is! I have been a temporary custodian for a cat that was in the US from Australia. The requirements for an animal traveling into Australia are very specific and also very confusing. The doctors and professional staff at Rising Sun went ABOVE and beyond in translating the requirements and working with me and the pet relocation service to ensure all vaccinations and treatments were performed according to strict timelines and that documentation was accurate and timely. They also answer all of our questions completely so we understand everything about Mystery's health needs. They are very gentle when handling & examining Mystery. This is really important to us.

“My dog and I have always had a great experience here. The front desk is SO friendly and somehow they seem to remember every animal that visits this clinic.
Dr. Herman performed Athena's spaying procedure. I was really nervous leaving her there, but she did great. I was so grateful for the before surgery consultation, the midday update from the desk, and when I picked her up she was a bit sleepy, but perfect. She recovered VERY quickly and really didn't ever seem to experience noticeable discomfort.
I have moved out of the area or I'd still be going here, but if I end up moving closer I will for sure be back.”

Turns out it was a bacterial infection. They cleaned its ears and got him the medicine to help him get better. I saw improvement by the next day, and the puppy was back to being happy!”

“We brought our Pekingese here to rehabilitate following the paralysis of his hind legs. After each visit we saw progress and eventually he started moving his legs again. My husband and I celebrated and cheered him on. We couldn't believe his success with CRCG! Just a couple months into the treatment I experienced a life changing unimaginable event and couldn't bring our peki in for some time. When I returned with the support of my family, determined to get him walking again, CRCG made it their mission to get him active again and they did just that. They compassionately held and guided him, having an abundance of patience with me. Because of them he was able to walk and hike and explore again making us all so proud. By helping him, CRCG helped me through the tremendous pain I was experiencing. They honored me for the time I poured into his recovery and gave me hope. My sweet little baby did so well for several months and then he had another emergency which took him from our lives. When I contacted CRGC to let them know we'd need to cancel our sessions, I experienced sincerity and an abundantly empathetic response. A couple weeks later the Director of Donor Relations at CSU College of Veterinary Medicine reached out to let me know CRCG had made a donation in my sweet boy's name. That meant the world to me.”
