Shamai didn't want to honor my Groupon I paid $105 for highlights, conditioner, & blowdry/style. She wanted me to cancel my Groupon so she would get the full payment after advertising on Groupon. That's how I found her & made appointment. She asked me to pay again another $105 after doing my hair. I paid however I canceled my Groupon. I felt very uncomfortable with Shamsi and her questionable business practices.She did my hair but seemed in a hurry to get another client a haircut while I waited in the lobby. After my hair processed she washed & conditioned my hair quickly and while blow drying my hair on high, burned my scalp 4 times. Painful! I won't be back & reported her to Groupon regarding the double charges $105 x2 and traded in my voucher for credit on Groupon. Not to be trusted & unprofessional.

She was very nice and friendly- really enjoyed the conversation.I found the place to be dirty. Little pieces of hair everywhere. The place seemed like it needed a good scrubbing.It might have been worth it with the Groupon deal I realized she had after I got my hair cut. But for a full price I didn’t think it was worth the money.Services: Haircut

Shamsi Salon is a sham! She was the most unprofessional stylist I've ever been to. From the request for a deposit (I've never heard of a stylist asking for a deposit) to the mistakes she made. She was rude, unaccepting of constructive criticism, (Like me pointing out that she wasn't putting enough blonde in my hair, bc she was rushing. So I wound up with a bunch of super thick highlights that look like a style from 2002. Or when I pointed out that there were bleach bleed spots and her saying that my part would cover it) and she did not manage her time well. I thought my appointment was at 1pm and sent her a text at 10am to confirm, however she had me down for 10am. I told her that it was fine to reschedule me as it would take at least 30 minutes for me to get to her salon, she said to just come in as soon as I could. When I arrived at 10:40 she proceeded to say to me "I had to push all my appointments for the day and I hope they don't cancel" Which in my opinion is completely unprofessional. Along with everything else, she didn't give me the cut I asked for, she burned my scalp while drying my hair but didn't seem to care about either, and furthermore, she refused to fix my hair. She said she would fix the bleach spots "next time" and when I told her that I don't get my hair done but once a year and that I wanted her to put more blonde in (as I had requested from the start. I even sent her the picture of myself with the cut and color I wanted as well as showing it to her the day of) she refused. She stopped all communication and hasn't tried to ammend the mistakes she made. So now, I look like a high-school version of myself, with 3 bleach spots and a cut I didn't ask for.. SHAME ON YOU SHAMSI

Shamsi was very unprofessional in doing my hair. Once my hair was bleached and in foils, she flat ironed it with high heat and I could hear my hair sizzling. I asked for 1 inch off in length and she cut 3, and didn't layer my hair at all like I asked. I paid extra to get my hair toned so it wouldn't be brassy, but my hair is practically orange! I am waiting to hear back from her to get a refund and will update my post accordingly if she responds. UPDATE: I have texted her numerous times and she has refused to refund me, and will not even try to make things right

Brazilian blowouts done by Shamsi were perfect every time. Tried many salons in the last 15 years and it was always either a hit or a miss but Shamsi is very consistant and I got great results over and over.

I came in as a walk in, very lady minute. I needed my eyebrows cleaned up, and she did an amazing job. I can't wait to go back for my second visit.
