Went to Davis for a second opinion on my 2005 4Runner. I guess that the shop I had been going to was trying to be very aggressive with the maintenance, recommending things that, yes, COULD be done to keep my beast running strong, but it was starting to get a little out of control. Davis told me to keep an eye on a couple of things but other than a few fluid flushes, things were looking great and some of the maintenance wasn’t as pressing as the other shop made it sound. Felt like a more reasonable approach. I want to keep up with maintenance, for sure, but I don’t want to go broke trying to avoid a car payment, know what I mean? I’ll stick with Davis for a while.

They do a great job! They try to limit costs where possible and their communication and thoroughness sets them apart from others. I have had them do a new transmission in my car and major service on my truck. Their techs take a lot of pride in their work. This company can do whatever you need and will do it right the first time. Highly recommended!!!

I am shocked by the high reviews, perhaps my experience was a one off but one worth mentioning.I took my 2001 Dodge Durango to Davis repair for what I thought might be an electrical issue. I was told I would hear back that day and that the inspection could take a couple hours or much longer. I was given a range for the inspection between $250 to $500 depending on the time, I said ok. I waited, heard nothing, day 1, day 2 nothing. I thought, man this must be huge. Finally, after not hearing anything for a week, I called to check on status. Which, they knew this whole time, just never called me. They told me, oh we figured out it was the body control module. They proceeded to tell me since this is a 2001, that they no longer make this part, and it will have to be rebuilt, for a cool 1k. I then asked them to check on the front seat as the bolts are sheared off, it took 2 days for this information to come, again, I had to call. They quoted me 250 bucks. I declined and came to pick up truck.I looked online and found the body control module for $88. It arrived in about a week and took me, a nurse, who knows nothing about cars, 5 minutes to unscrew the 3 bolts, unplugged, then plugged it up, and them recrewed it on, good as new.I don't know if it is because I am a woman, but this seems criminal to me. I will not be back.

Had a quote from the Subaru dealer to replace the rear brakes on my Outback. I decided to take it to Davis Repair so I could develop a relationship with a local repair shop. I went to pick up the car and the bill was $547! About $160 more than the Subaru dealer's quote for rear brakes. Not a great experience.Just had front brakes replaced at the Subaru dealer for $294!Service: Brakes

Had a quote from the Subaru dealer to replace brakes on my Outback. Decided to take it to Davis Repair so I could develop a relationship with a local repair shop. After inspection I was quoted a price just over $400 which was more than the dealers quote of $375. Yes, a little more but they already had the car so I told them to go ahead. I went to pick up the car and the bill was $547! No way I would have agreed to pay $172 more than the Subaru dealers quote. Not a great experience.

The folks at Davis Repair are friendly and thorough. Hannah and Brian were both helpful and knowledgeable. I really appreciated the full vehicle inspection and quality picture documentation of my vehicle. Their customer service is excellent and their customer rewards program is a great perk. They are also fairly priced for their quality of work. I'm definitely recommending them to friends and family.Services: Vehicle Inspection

BE WARE! We had Davis repair my sons car early this year. A critical bolt was left loose and the rear wheel bearing assembly came loose causing a few thousand dollars damage. They offered no compensation for this HUGE mistake and lack of quality control on the part of the mechanicUPDATE!!!Davis Auto Repair DID NOT offer any such refund for the failed rear wheel bearing assembly(critical bolt left loose!) that was improperly installed-“Mile high” Honda dealership in Aurora had to replace this unit, along with many broken parts as the result of the failure.Had a reasonable refund been offered I may have accepted it, but the manager said, and I quote.. “since you wont bring the care back it looks like we won’t be able to resolve it” NO REFUND, NO COMPENSATION, NO APOLOGY!….. the failure cause MUCH DAMAGE… and certainly we lost faith in the quality of the work- would you bring your car back that the brakes failed and your kid almost was in an accident??

I have used Davis for a few years now and I am always happy with their service. I most recently took my car in as the fuel door stopped opening from inside the car. They initially quoted a new fuel door, however upon further inspection they found the line was corroded. They cleaned it, and it works great. I found the interaction to be very honest.Service: Auto maintenance

I went in to have my breaks looked at, Mitch gave me great information and explained everything I needed. My car is a 2010 and just over 201,000 miles. No more work on this baby, time to trade her in. If it were not for that reason, I would use DAVIS. They are all very kind. If you need a ride they will call a Lyft for you, very knowledgeable, competitive pricing, and just told me what I needed which was great! Thanks guys, I will be back but just to get the new car serviced!Cindy B.From ST.LOUIS new resident?
