When we had to send our senior dog, Ruca, "home," last year, they were very empathetic and gentle. They were quick and efficient and gave us as much time as we needed to say our goodbyes. We had Ruca cremated through them as well. They provide the most beautifully engraved cedar box for her ashes and a clay impression of her paw. Thank you for taking care of my Ruca dog.

Horrific. I made an appt here for my dog when he started vomiting multiple times a week and was becoming more lethargic. Also, he had been diagnosed with Cushing's several months ago and reacted very poorly to 2 adrenal-necratizing medications (and multiple dosages). I decided, rather than risk brain surgery or other more dangerous medications (the kind that could kill your dog overnight and require overnight vet surveillance), that I would follow my vets advice and go with alternative medicine, so when this new problem arose a month after stopping the meds, I booked with West Ridge instead hoping to address both issues.
When I made the appointment here, I mentioned this. When I filled out the paperwork before the appointment I mentioned this. When I got there for the appt, I waited 45 minutes past our appt time, and mentioned this. The tech was busy pumping him full of treats. When the vet came in, she gave me a printout from the internet about Cushing's, said she didn't know anything about Cushing's, they don't do alternative medicine, and talked down to me saying I was "at the wrong office for that". She wanted to give me the same meds my last vet did and questioned me when I listed the issues those meds caused.
They had all of his paperwork from my previous vet showing what tests were done with notes about his reactions to the two medications that we tried. They obviously didn't bother to read any of it. Nobody told me the vet here only dealt in prescribed medications. I agreed to a basic senior blood panel (one that doesn't require fasting since they fed him tons of cheese and treats), because of the lethargy and throwing up (I had to explain the difference between the regurgitation he experienced on the meds and the vomiting he had recently started) and I was worried about his kidneys, liver, and pancreas.. that his vomiting and increasing lethargy may be unrelated to cushings.. but they kept talking about Cushing's and then would switch to organ failure without saying so (I only know because of my experience with my regular vet and had to ask for clarification on what Dr Lin was talking about multiple times)
There was no exam at all, she just talked at me and didn't even touch my dog or look at him. He never went on the table. They took him back for blood work and then tried to charge me double for the exam. They also told me they'd have results the next day.
3 days later, no call. I called twice, the first guy was quite rude like how dare I bother them when the dr is dealing with an emergency, she'll call at the end of the day (this was at 4:40pm), and I called back to ask them to email me the results.
Finally, the vet called at 9:30 at night, said "um uh" more than anything else, suggested another ultrasound and then said it wouldn't be used to diagnose anything, said she'd recommend a low fat diet if it's pancreatitis (but she can't diagnose it), and when I told her I had started home cooking for him and checked the ingredients, said she only knows about canned prescription diets, and that I can bring him in for an emergency tomorrow... Which took me aback. I asked if she felt that was necessary and she literally said "I don't know that's up to you".
Like excuse me? I'm not the doctor here. Absolutely terrible. I should have known to stay away when they wanted to charge $90 just to make the appt but I called and was told they did alternative medicine and that's hard to find. My dog is now retired from service, but we've been inseparable for 12 years. I would do *anything* for him. How dare they talk down to me about the plan D care plan I've been forced to take after the traditional meds caused worse inflammation issues. Dr. Lin must know something about something, but she clearly doesn't know anything about senior dog health or bedside manner with their owners.

We have a very scared, two-year-old Great Dane Who can get very aggressive with new people. The staff at West Ridge animal Hospital did amazing at accommodating him, and still treating him at the same time. Everybody was very professional, and I would highly recommend them to anybody.

Google wont let me reply to the owners response to my previous review. Dog owners, please refer to my other review from my same name.
West ridge responded and said they sent me home with medication to ease my dying dog. That is a BLATANT lie. I was not sent home with any medication and i had to make Dr. Othelsby help me 3 days later over the phone and actually prescribe something to help keep him calm so he can sleep. They only told me that i can fully sedate him and drain the fluid for relief and they repeated that over and over when i was asking for things i can do.
Turns out theres two meds to help my dog, bruiser, with the end of his life. One to help release fluid and one to help with calming him down so he can sleep soundly. After being a bit rude, i was able to get the calming prescription and another vet made me aware of lasix to help release fluid. I am actually appalled by these egregious lies. I was NOT sent home with medication or a prescription for my dog.

They were amazing! I brought my pup, Daisy Doodle Noodle, in for refusing to drink and they checked her over. They didn't try to run unnecessary tests and I felt listened to and acknowledged. I'm posting on my community page as a recommendation for sure.

My comment got deleted by this vet, do not take your animals here especially if you have an exotic animal. They gave me a bad diagnostic, and a complete know it all attitude. They ran with what they read outta the text book and kept referring back to the text book and trying to diagnose her with something he read knowing she didn’t have any of the symptoms. They sent us home with meds that made my animal sicker. Do not take your pets here at all if you have exotic. They will lie and say to your face they know what they’re doing but they don’t. The vet can’t get over his ego and pride to say he didn’t know what he was doing or wasn’t highly qualified dealing with farrets. If you want the best care for your animal especially your exotic pets take them to csu veterinarian
Hospital. Unfortunately because of putting my faith into this “trained” professional. My sweet little farret didn’t make it.

Took our ferret because she was super lethargic. The vet kept referring to the textbook, didn’t have much hands on experience and diagnosed her with chronic diarrhea. They gave us antibiotics to treat the diarrhea. The nurse called us the next day to see how she was doing and was going to have the doctor call us, but he never did. She was diagnosed with wrong treatment and found out it was respiratory. Take your exotic animals over to CSU in Fort Collins they were well trained, gentle, loving and caring.

They were super nice to explain what was wrong with the dog. They respected that he did not want to settle for more and did not force him.
