Had an appointment in the early afternoon on a weekday. I arrived early for my appointment and was checked in. Then I sat and waited for more than an HOUR in their waiting room. I asked the desk several times what was happening. Apparently they had Wi-Fi issues.Communication was non-existent. After watching people after me sent to the doctor, they finally said that the doctor wasn't available for me because it was virtual. Would be "soon". Given how long they let me sit on "soon" you can be sure I'll never return to America's best. There are far too many competent organizations out there to even give this one another chance. The real kicker is I wouldn't even be upset if they had to cancel my appointment or delay it. But they just chose to let me lose an hour of my life because they couldn't be upfront about their issues.Pathetic.

From the second I walked in the door, I was greeted by nice people. From taking my vision insurance, to getting me checked in for my yearly exam, everything was a snap, and then in no time I was taken back to the waiting area. I had sat there for 2-3 minutes and was taken in right at 5pm (on time) for my appointment. Alycia Meeker Muniz O.D.has always done my eye exams over the years and is very professional. Her prescriptions always have everything you need to order online. The store’s later-afternoon appointment times always work better for me also. Thanks again for another great, yearly eye check up!

I previously (Jan 2022) left a bad review on this location. The staff was unfriendly and didn't have good customer service. I decided to give them another chance and am happy to report they have really stepped up their customer service. Miguel is an absolute asset to this company. He is very caring and professional and pays very close attention to small details. Great job!!

Update: the district manager made things right. I came in today on 8/26 and the service was amazing. It looked like everyone who was inside getting their glasses as well were being helped and seemed very satisfied too! It makes me happy to know that America’s best cares to make change and make a better environment for customers! I didn’t catch the ladies name who helped me with my eye contact class but she was amazing as well very kind and genuine!I’m honestly and surprised this location is still open. The customer service is absolutely horrible. The owner replies to the reviews but clearly isn’t making any change. I went in on 7/22 computer systems were down so they were not able to put my prescription in ( I understand things happen) they didn’t call me back until 3 days later while I was at work. I gave them a call back and they said one of the doctors would call me back. I never got a call back. So I called again and same thing and I never got a call back. I called AGAIN and spoke with a manager. I then came in on Friday at 6pm to finally get my glasses ordered and get my contacts, I’m waiting and waiting. Finally a doctor is available she walks towards me and says “ I’ll be right back” and proceeds to walk to her car all the way across the parking lot at that point I had just decided to leave and by the time I was in my car and pulling out she still hadn’t walked back in. This place is so unprofessional with absolutely no change being done. Save your time don’t go to americas best. I work in customer service and if any of my employees or myself acted this way we’d be written up or even fired. Get it together.

I went to America's Best in Greeley Colorado yesterday. First eye check in over 20 years and I explained that to them. They asked if I wanted glasses or contacts. I don't know, never wore either and again no eye check for 20 years. After the tests it was going to be $354 for one pair of glasses with transition lenses and my insurance would cover 6 months of contacts. I said to remove the contacts then and I would take their promo of 2 pairs with transition lenses for approx $250 ($127+89 approx). He said they couldn't do that with insurance and the contact exam. The salesmen said he would call me once the doctor removed the lense exam since I would not be using it. No call yesterday since 12:30pm when I left. I called today I asked to settle things up and get my prescription so I could get my lenses somewhere else. They said the computers had been down all morning and just came up and she needed to talk to the doctor. I would get a call back. It's been 2 hours and again no call back.I have never needed vision correction in the past so this is all new to me. I felt like I walked into a dealership for glasses. The salesman became rude when I asked questions since the math didn't add up and the lack of being straight forward and educating someone before providing a service they didn't need.

The only reason I gave 'America's Best' one star is because they had the better price for the glasses that I required when I bought them five years ago. I didn't think they got the prescription quite right, but no matter. Then the temple broke off after a year. So I went back and was told I had to buy new frames instead of replacing the temple. The person who replaced the lenses in the new frames scratched one of the lenses. She denied doing it, of course. So a few years went by and today the temple broke off again. I went back to get a quick fix (a rubber sheath that holds the temple to the frame) so that I can wear them until I get new ones. They couldn't even do that! I've done it several times.Don't get your glasses here. Pay the extra to go to a good quality optometrist who will support your glasses, instead of a nationwide Wal-Mart chain that spends their money on advertising and not quality.

Horrible experience. The front desk lady asked if I was going to use my insurance, I said yes, handed her my card and they escorted me back to the exam room before giving me my card back. After the exam the front desk lady came back to me with my card and said “sorry we don’t take your insurance” what? Why couldn’t you have told me you don’t before the exam? It’s not even worth buying two pairs of glasses for the free exam because the cheapest outcome was 260 dollars. That’s without the anti scratch. The doctor was nice but the rest of the staff were rude. I ended up paying for the exam and am going to go somewhere else I’m pretty sure my prescription is wrong.

This is my third pair of glasses in two months and even though I am most likely done for the year all three were made to perfection , I didn’t even have to be adjusted to my face when I got them! I am sold! Plus the people are so kind so helpful and their selection of frames are very good. I would recommend them to anyone who wants good quality glasses at a reasonable cost ?????

When booking, nothing mentioned it was a virtual appointment. All the reminders never mentioned a “virtual” appointment. When I showed up for my appointment, the receptionist said “and you’re aware this is virtual?” No, I was not aware. Having NEVER needed contacts or glasses ever in my life, I would have been sure to book in-person. The waiting room was horrible. Uncomfortable dirty benches (coated metal bus stop style benches), no TV, no WiFi, over crowded “cattle holding” area is what it felt like.Fast forward to when I picked up my glasses… I again told them I’ve never had them before. No cleaning cloth or instruction given. She started bending the nose piece with pliers before I even put them on the first time,I can’t wear either set. The driving set makes everything so blurry I’m basically blind. The reading set are better but I was only able to wear them for 20 minutes total yesterday before I had a wicked headache. I don’t think either pair are the right prescription for me. They are absolutely terrible and I feel like I’ve wasted $80.

Waited an hour. Then told My exam was remote, Was finally told, exam couldn't be done today???? This is unexceptable !!! I've been coming here 3 years... totally unexceptable! Before coming to Greeley location , I was customer in Littleton for 5 years...Now because of the way I was treated at Greeley, I will be finding a newPlace for my prescriptions. Too bad, I have been in customer service and management for many years, Now because of this , I will no longer be recommending this location to my own clients...UPDATE....Thought I'd try a different location,Went to LOVELAND LOCATION for eye appointment yesterday, SAW A REAL DOCTOR, ?, Customer service was Awesome! Doctor was great! I definitely will go back there?. Restored my confidence in America's Best.Greeley needs to take lessons from them!!! I give Loveland 5 Stars ?

2nd visit here in about a 5-6 yr span. I had a great experience the first time and this time. They called me to inform they do virtual exams, which was fine. The same procedures take place. The techs know what they are doing. Info gets sent to doc, by the time you speak with a doc virtually, they have already viewed the scans and give you an informative assessment. All of the staff was really nice, informative, and answered all questions. The process was fast and easy.

The staff is super courteous! They however cannot seem to order the frames that I selected! Twice! Once she scanned the ones she wanted for me, we laughed and said oh no not those! Then I go to get them and it's THAT pair! They are great about switching them out for the frames I wanted. I go to pick them up, it's the WRONG frames again!! The wrong size, the wrong color, EVERYTHING!! I GIVE UP. I'll deal with these until I can save up for a new pair from A DIFFERENT company.

Their new thing is a remote doctor. Not even a doctor on-site examining you EYES. They don’t tell you until you get to your appointment. This place is already the joke of all eyecare, and now they don’t even offer you a doctor to prescribe glasses. I’ve gone to americas best for 30 years. Never again.
